Green Arrow looks awesome. Really glad to finally get a more classic looking figure of him. And I never thought I would want a figure of The Atom till I saw him in this review.
It's been at least 4 years to have a classic Green Arrow and he does look so cool despite not having much too arrows along with having the more iconic Ray Palmer The Atom which has an adorable shrunken down mini Atom, Overall, Fantastic review on these 2 action figures from McFarlane Brad.
Can't wait to get mine. Stupid Amazon taking forever to ship! Great review Brad!
Love the Retro Style Longbow Hunter Green Arrow and Silver age The Atom Figures! 🌟
These are 2 i really want, W fr
Can't wait to get my Green Arrow from Amazon he loosk great
I like these figures. BUT, GA needed a waist cut, more texturing on the costume, and for the love of God, combine the head and hood into one piece that sits on the neck peg! Actually sculpting the hair beneath the hood would've been a nice surprise detail. Finally in hand, while I'm glad I have it, this is exactly the kind of figure you make into an Ultimate (or Collector) Edition to compete against NECA's Ultimate line (like their Predators). GA would've been an excellent choice. This leaves me somewhat wanting.
So glad we finally got Ray Palmer Atom, but c'mon man. There was a video by Displaying Model Behavior I believe where in the thumbnail of the video where he reviewed the Marvel Legends Avalanche figure, he either titled it or put in the thumbnail "What's the LEAST we can do?". Atom screams exactly that. I know his costume is rather simple, but this was the perfect opportunity to make him more visually interesting like what Young Justice did. And that smaller Atom without a shrinking effect is kind of a joke of an "accessory". With 2024 seemingly being the year of perpetual McFarlane mistakes and Hasbro getting back on track and showing them up every month, it's becoming harder and harder to justify why McFarlane DC Multiverse is my top priority.
McFarlane DC Multiverse: DC figures that are so much better than what we’ve gotten in the past and yet should be so much better than they are. Little details on the Atom like the boot tops not being pointed and the belt not being sculpted only serve to diminish what is otherwise an excellent figure. I keep thinking that McFarlane must have made a base body with sculpted, pointed boot tops at some point, but for the life of me, I can’t think of another DC character with pointed boot tops. 😉
GA seems kinda short. I wish you did a scale comparison with some more classic JL members. Can you tell us how he scales with them please.
He's using the Princess Bride Inigo Montoya figure, so he's SO MUCH scrawnier than any of the other comic figures.
Sooo glad McFarlane stopped doing the side eye thing with these figures since no one liked that idea. That Atom figure looks great and is one I'll be picking up.
Geez...still no good GA...He's so lanky, long arms, didn't finish painting the Tunic strings...headsculpt is goood...that's about it
