Cheers. Have wanted to re-visit this and apply the idea`s everyone has suggested to make it better, but had a rough couple of months. Maybe if we get one last cold spell before Spring sets in...😀
I love how you made your stove adjustable. :) It's not a bad job at all. It's very creative! If you attach a binder ring, then put carbon felt on it you can adjust your stove a lot easier, and won't have to worry about getting burnt.
I use a dog bowl made out of SS for holding smokeless embers inside my tent and it’s surprising how hot it gets and quickly to. Just hope there is enough pull from the wind on the top end of the chimney, I think a windy day the pull would be good, but they would be my concerns… very hot metal and airflow. Hope it goes well for you my friend wishing you luck with this project 👍👍👍
Love your thinking outside the box, so many ideas and so much inspiration, keep it up and maybe between us we can get warm this winter cause I went yesterday and damn it was cold
Hi, you could make a clip on the underside of the rim of the two bowls by folding and a welding 3 pieces of metal to the inside of the bowl with the chimney bit like the shape of a "question mark" the flat end welded and the circular end pressing down on the top rim and 3 holes or slits in a metal camping bowl flat bottomed to finish . Then pre-folded metal lips over then rest on the lips on the outside bowl. I'm only going on your design without seeing if a tin camping plate or metal steel camping plate with 3 slits to allow to twist or turn to connect together the welded clips through the cut slits in ground plate and both bowls. Like the video, not seen part two. So you might of made this the same way or a little different, but just as good. Love mum
Thanks for your detailed reply, sounds interesting. Ultimately though, when tested the chimney needs to be longer and much wider to generate enough draw. might give others some ideas to try out, which is my hope. I think it has potential.
It goes over a small fire on the ground, does work....kind of but you are right the chimney does not have enough diameter to cope with the smoke and the fire smoulders from oxygen starvation.
@john kelenfoldi The video will be up on Tuesday. Was on the Winnerwell website tonight though, and have blown my budget on their new little titanium stove that weighs just 1Kg, exactly what I wanted, small enough and light enough to back pack with. Will do a review when it comes.. Just have to live frugally for a few weeks to pay for it👍😀
Excellent idea , I love to see this kind of ingenuity. Great video as usual .
Thanks, might spark some idea`s and modifications😀👍
i thought it was metal mickey ! great job !

Thanks, not as successful as I`d hoped, needs a bigger diameter chimney. Will work on it further in the future.👍
@Badger and the Woodsman Yes, starting to get a bit chilly. fire beckons👍
@@mark.a.cornish And I can totally relate to not like working with metal, wood. is beautiful metal is sharp and ugly 👍👍
Good effort mate 🤪💥
Thanks, the idea is sound, just needs a bit of tweaking.👍

Cool!

mate i dont know if you have tried it but i wouldn't your chimney is way to narrow, what is it going to sit on?
