Sidney Poitier produced and co-wrote ( with Robert Alan Aurthur, screenwriter of "In the Heat of the Night") this romantic comedy about a suburban family that plays matchmaker for their maid (Abbey Lincoln) after she gives notice of leaving. Co-starring Beau Bridges, Carroll O'Connor, Nan Martin, and Lauri Peters. Directed by Daniel Mann. Music by Quincy Jones, who wrote the Oscar-nominated title song.
