I feel sorry for the dog. That dog is the real victim
Why do they need a dog? Shame.
@@aPaulingNews Good question. She can't feed herself
@@aPaulingNews Emotional support, but the dog's clearly been phoning in its work and needs to be terminated.
Or is there a benefit that can claimed if you have a dog and are unemployed +/ homeless?
Legit 💯,don't get a dog if you're f!@$in homeless. 🤨👍
She demonstrates the reason they don't call her for work but she's too unaware to realize it.
Yes exactly! I've had those oblivious moments too and wished someone had told me. She's so wrapped around the axle she couldn't be told the correct time of day if she asked.
Seriously, some people just have never been told and aren't introspective enough to seek the answers which - are always inside us, waiting to be discerned.
Yeah, even the most woke HR departments tend to steer clear of drooling psychopaths with entitlement issues.
Look at those eyes:that's twenty pounds of crazy in a ten pound bag;show me a serious employer who would even consider hiring that loony. 🤨👍
Classic narcissist. Everyone else is the problem. Perhaps a quick make-up check in the interior rear-view mirror would reveal the true cause of the discontent.
Wow, Elliot Page really must having a hard time getting a regular acting gig resorting to living in her car. Oh wait…
Ellen is just as unstable as this girl.

She used to be cute… sad
That person in the car was never told no as a child. They demand respect but aren't willing to reciprocate. That main character syndrome is kicking their ass. My advice to this young person is to be an NPC at a stable job rather than the main character in a homeless situation. I hope they find their way. Rock bottom is only a few steps away...
I wonder if it's just fake and she's actually living with her parents and trying to get social media clout.
Post 9/11 babies are just tiresome. Me. Me. Me. Me (and my little dog too).
Being an NPC work type pays my bills, and let's me live an alright life as a real type outside...
Possibly the reason the deadname in a car isn’t getting hours, is that they just don’t want to deal with the drama
First lesson to future worker should be that “your are only hired as a solution to the company’s problem. They are not hiring you to add more problems. Problems get fired quickly.”
They have all the drama they need right there.
Your dad sounds like a wise man.
One thing never talked about, public school enrollment has been crashing for a few years. It's not getting any better and the schools are confused. They say, "covid is over, why are they still homeschooling or choosing private schools"? Meanwhile they're too busy implementing DEI to investigate the mystery.
They're not surprised. The objections to school choice programs is that they'll take money away from public schools. They know people won't choose public schools if there's another affordable option. COVID just sent enough kids home that parents found a way to make these alternatives affordable.
it baffles them
The school boards are acting like the children belong to them. Parents are to blame for not being more involved in their kids' lives. Stop letting governments and institutions raise the kids.
AMEN!!
I mean, how hard is to ban cellphones in class rooms? WTF. Nowadays kids and adolescents have too much freedom and power over parents and teachers. See if this kind of shit happens in China?
And why shouldn't they? There is a reason why children accidentally call their students "mommy" it is because the kids see their teachers more than their parents.
This is the reason why picking the right teacher is so important because kids copy behaviour.
I am truly terrified what society will look like in 10 years
@@themalcontent100 yeah, as if you have a choice of teachers unless you pay for a private school... Those are just bad parents, schools and teachers are not here to raise the kids.

9 weeks, paul. 9 weeks. "I can't believe I'm not head of the company yet"
As many of my millennial coworkers have said in my former workplace “if in 5 years you’re not in the desired position, leave for the next company”. Many think this means if not at least a director or VP. 10 years ago that was easier to do. These days it’s a little harder.
"How dare you ruin our children's lives. That's our job!"
During the 80's i was treated like garbage by employers. Fortunately there was work everywhere and i didn't take the treatment personally.
People are not nice, our youth are finding that out the hard way.
Now I'm 58, medically retired and look back with a middle finger raised high!
You take care.
@@aPaulingNews
Thanks, I do okay for myself.
Late 80's I entered the electrical trade through Co-Op in High School. Tradesmen in S. Ontario would only hire guys on as labourers, never putting you on apprenticeship. This was protectionism because they held the power and didn't want new guys getting their ticket and becoming competition. Work was scarce outside the GTA and unless you bowed and scraped and did favours you could labour for years. This imo created the trades shortage we've never recovered from. I moved on and also raise my middle finger to those greedy short sighted fools.
It worked out okay, I got into high tech by the mid 90s and something else in early 00's and I retired at 49.
FTW!
Maybe the anger issues they have is preventing them from anyone wanting to work with them?
Taking out loans to get ahead while you are living in a car....??? WTF!? Who is giving this DYT loans?
The only good use for a lump of cash would be a gym membership, presuming Papa Gov already has food and network access covered. 24Hour Fitness is great for hygiene if you get the two year plan through Costco. Smelling good helps with income.
I was married for 20+years before I thought it was economically reasonable to buy a dog.
netherlands have banned the mobile phones in schools
Should be banned in all schools, everywhere
They were banned in the American school I attended, a couple of decades ago.
@@stevenschnepp576 good decissions
If someone wants a comfy life, perhaps forcing others to play by their rules ain't a way to go about it.
A country where you can sue companies for parents total failure has already drifted into idiocracy.
Re schools suing: My take away is that only the lawyers will win.
I know Paul was being sarcastic when suggesting that the homeless youth apply for that "Engineering Aviation" job but....with all the required DEI hirings that may be a viable option. Just think about it soon that person may be building or piloting the next plane you "fly" in.😮
I think they show more aptitude and demeanor suited to a position as an Air Traffic Controller myself. As long as the pilots don't deadname it over the radio they'll be just fine.
The parents of each district should sue the district for at least as much money, since those bureaucracies are doing more to harm the education of children than anyone else.
Who's going to pay the settlement? The taxpayers would basically be suing themselves
@@jr2904 No, because the political class is STEALING that tax money and giving it to corrupt bureaucrats who only pretend to teach our kids.
Everyone can sue, get their money back, and then teach the kids somewhere better.
Ummmm, yeah. I wouldn't hire this kid, either. I can also see why this kid's parents opened the door and applied the boot.
Soooo would you say that the horrors your father endured in WWII were they as bad as being “dead named”?
A comment to feed the algorithm.
All hail the almighty algorithm!
"That's what libraries are for."
My grandfather remodeled a number of homes and did a lot of masonry work on his own homes. He went to the library and signed out some how-to books and just did it. What a great guy he was.
Who of you would hire this youth (and I don't mean Paul) if you had a company?
Exactly. They present unemployable.
Any HR department would hire it in a second.
@@OpinionFactChecker New moral agents...
And having this out where companies can find it will surely help.
I can imagine potential employers are actively tracking that person down to offer a job.
He/she/they should have many opportunities as a Disney Marvel Studios writer, Director of DEI for any major company, or a game developer.
I would not hire that person, even if she is not in a good spot in her life right now. All of that swearing, all of that anger, and her attitude is quite repulsive.
She is probably to sorry to do in real work anyway.
More red flags than a Party parade in China.
This person is flagging that he/she is going to be drama in the workspace. I am pretty sure that as an employer I would not want to employ her/him and as a customer I would not like to be served by him/her. While people with less issues that might impact on the work place are available, this person will (deserve to) continue to live in her/his car.
Also if you have a car to live in, who is paying for the registration, fuel, maintenance of the vehicle and other related costs? I used an old bicycle to get to work until I could save enough money to buy my first car, I was 23 years old.
As a retired librarian, I salute your father!
I was in a situation somewhat similar to your dad. I lost my job to affirmative action (sic!) and became self employed. It ended up maxing out my credit cards and my almost paid off bond. It was a 24/7 job. I had two dependent teens. In the end I made it but giving up or blaming someone else was hardly options. I cannot tell you how nothing I feel for this little prick. That car looks better than my 15 year old Jimny from the inside.
Good for you.
Paul please keep bringing us the real honest news..
Maybe they are sending you letters and you moved your car?
I feel bad for that mentally ill girl it looks like she lacked any real parenting while she was growing up?
I have let people I barely know sleep on my couch when they were temporarily homeless, more than once.
I would not let that spoiled brat park in my driveway for five minutes, if I knew them well.
Actually, it looks like the better one knows them, the worse they would seem.
The amount of misplaced entitlement arrogance and self-pity is just off the bloody charts with that one
Your dad seems to have been the real hero of the story today!
Is this not a parent thing, I don't want school boards doing anything but teach math.
Have you noticed it’s always the eyes? #deadgiveaways

I thought it was the butch haircut and demands of improper English 🤔
A temp agency sends me someone who is going to be a major pain to employ, crying about dead names and pronouns and all that other BS. I don't want them. Send someone who will not be a pain in my side. I want a temp to fill a position not a child who expects me to cater to their delusions. It's a business not a social experiment.
Most teachers I've talked to are not even allowed to tell the kids to get off their phones in the classroom.
I've seen that instruction.
🇬🇧🏴 Ten years ago (I worked as an exam invigilator / reader / scribe) teachers "negotiated" 🙄 with students to only have one ear phone in while listening to music on their mobile phone in lessons.👂🎶📱
"Today, kids, we're gonna give a demo on how EMP works."
Let's assume they actually got that money. Oh neat, more money to spend on school admins and rainbow diapers for the kids! Yeah no.
5:17 Damn, Uncle Paul firing both barrels. lmao.
Do parents no longer tell kids the world doesn't owe them a living? your employer is not your dad. If your employer is not at least breaking even you are likely to be out of work very soon. One of the most important things you can possess is a reputation as a hard and reliable worker. Your employer started the company to make money. You can be part of the problem or part of the solution.
YOUR IN A CAR!
They just want money. It's greed and nothing more.

I remember when I had to walk 10 miles(km) uphill both ways to school in a blizzard.
On a factual note during the 70 recession, my sister lived in her car (Monte Carlo) with her boyfriend and large dog. The dog had a job patrolling an auto wrecker. She even took in a lodger. She new all the nice place to take a scout bath. Finally they found a place to rent, work and eventually purchased a modest home at 20% interest.
Only 10 miles? Luxury! ❄️ 🌬 🐻❄️
Just this week my father opined about my grandfather tonging for oysters on and around the Chesapeake Bay. While my father complained often about sitting at a desk, his father apparently just did the job and not telling everyone how hard and cold it was.
I understand venting, but you don't do it on camera.
I take issue I don’t think moving from a Kia to a Ford is an improvement 😊
Harder to steal. :)
The good news is that the lawsuit is asking for $4.5 billion in Canadian dollars, not real money..... 🤣
I'm completely shocked that screaming lady has no friends or a better paying job.
I've been on call board, before. It kind of sucked, but it was how I got my foot in the door. Once I got in the door, I worked my butt off, and was never without work for more than a couple of weeks for the next 40 years. Well, except for the time I broke my leg, and actually used unemployment for the first and only time in my life.
I never once threw a tantrum when things were bad. I was too busy making things better.
Imagine a dumb overgrown child not being capable of dealing with being an adult..? This is only going to get worse.
Excellent points, especially the reinforcement of just how powerful the ability to read is. Don't you just love this notion of minimum wage 'paying for everything' that is somehow so pervasive with the youth of today.
Keep the 'Dumb Young Thing' material coming. Gosh this is so cathartic; I'm sure some of these bozos will enroll in my university one day, looking to just be 'given' a degree.
There seems to be an endless supply.
"I am so sick and @#$% tired of filling out application after @#$% application for loans to get money to get ahead."
What is the logic behind getting loans (AKA borrowing money, which must be paid back with interest) to get ahead? 🤨
As this individual has clearly cracked the cheat code on how finances function, they should seek employment as a banker or an accountant.
Who said anything about paying it back?
Logic?
You say that most homeless people don't tick tock.
But I have observed over the years that long before TikTok was in existence, homeless people were talking to the air.
They're still doing it now. They just have a phone. But the content is largely unchanged.
Anyway great video as always Paul.
Came expecting to see that kid of yours screaming about being in a car!!!!... disappointed...
Beautifully done. Thank you, Paul.

Yeah, don't burn out.
First, thank you for another another effort to brighten our day. Like looking at the crackheads along the streets, your examples always make me thankful for the many lessons my parents taught me about life. "that is what libraries are for" love it! will take it as a phrase to use.
The Schools should be sued, for providing a lousy education.
I think calling the education merely lousy is giving them too much credit. But, yes, otherwise you're right.
Who will pay the settlements?
The faculty members who failed to do a good job or the taxpayers who fund this atrocity?
First, students will have to actually try to learn. Then we’ll talk whether it was lousy or not. Hint: I am intimately familiar with the profession.
Your father had a couple of things going for him: practical skills and a willingness to learn. This generation only has the will to complain and it seems that his only practical skill is to complain. It is almost the same 🤣
Some advice for the dumb young thing: get multiple jobs. Yeah, it sucks. Get over it. At one point, I worked three different jobs and split the rent with multiple other young, single dudes. Was it easy? Hell, no. Did it build my character? You bet. Did it forge friendships with those other dudes that will never be broken? You bet your ass, it did.

Scotty Beam me a BOARD. ... IM YELLING IN. MY. CAR ....
Everything else aside, recording a TikTok rant and posting it to the Internet doesn’t really mean this person is spending more time doing that than attempting to improve their situation. I mean, I know you’re not being entirely serious, but the rant took a couple minutes, it’s not really an indicator of their priorities.
As for the school boards, I’m torn. It’s been a long time since I wasn’t horrified by anything a school board did, and there are creativity questionable motives here, but at the same time, they’re right. Social media is inarguably harmful to pretty much everyone, so any blow struck to it is a positive.
For a woman living in her car, that's 2 minutes she didn't have to waste. She also showed all prospective employers her rage, illogic and narcissistic outlook.
As to schools...they lamented TV on the 60s and 70 as stupifying kids, BUT TV was not being watched in class, in study hall, at lunch, in assemblies and on the bus.....tawdry social media is.
Also TV had only a hour or so of after dinner shows interesting to kids and 3 channels. There was typically an hour after school show for rainy days, then news, then kid comedies or light juvinile dramas, before parents said do your homework and go to bed.
Then came designer cable networks 24x7
Handheld has brought 10 hours of streaming 2 minute neurosis
They need to sue the parents.
Wow
Welp, you know us hoomans. We just LOVE to be addicted to stuff.
Libraries? Now you can just google the problem while you're at the site. Not knowing what you're doing is less of an encumbrance than ever. Willingness to work and flexible thinking are keys to the economy now.
I would be totally okay with the school board with banning phones in school or having to turn them in at the start of the day/class.
We struggled to keep the kids off devices before the pandemic and pretty well folded like a house of cards when they were all stuck inside for 2 years.
If ALL the kids at a school are forced off their phones, they might actually have a conversation with each other.
I never understood where the idea that minimum wage was supposed to “provide a livable income”? You start there for some people and eventually work your way up.
I think it came from companies not meant to be using minimum wage adopting it. For instance, a taxi driver, waiter were (are) traditional min wage jobs for young people and immigrants. But no strike/no union states have enabled big companies to pay min wages for formerly expensive unionized work.
One of the things the bosses at my job like the most about me is that I'm 100% willing to admit when I make a mistake (no matter how small it is), and that I take full responsibility then apologize for it.
Its one of the reasons why they trust me so much that they know they can leave a new hire with me to train without supervision.
One of the first things I tell the new hires I train is: "never be afraid to admit a mistake to me or any of the supervisors/managers, as long as you acknowledge what's happened, take responsibility for it, apologize and show a willingness to learn from it you'll be forgiven".
I picked that one up in the Army real quick. Made it through without a scratch a lot of shit on a willingness to own up to my fuck-ups, when guys who tried to weasel out got the book thrown at them.
To teach is to manage a triage: 1/3 of students are independent; they just need check-ins. 1/3 are a loss before they step into the classroom; we just let them have their phones. It is the middle 1/3, most of whom could go either way, we focus on. I've worked in schools that allowed phones and banned phones. The triage is fairly consistent across schools, but I'd rather work in a school that has a collective effort to severely limit phones during instruction.
Hey Paul. Good to see you again!
took me a few minutes to remember from where but I found it before the search got too... Frantic.
