- The subject of the “fear of the Lord” can bring about great confusion in the lives of many believers, instead of empowerment to their faith journey. When the fear of the Lord is brought up or taught, many are instead bound in being afraid of God.
This brings out a bigger issue that is at work. Many believers are taught about God’s holiness, glory and judgment, without experiencing His relational ways. They are not rooted in His love. We are told of His intense majesty and sinlessness, but often in a way that does not encourage us to approach Him.
Many keep a “safe distance” from God or they struggle to ever experience deeper connection, because their hearts have not been rooted in God’s kindness, goodness and love. Nor do they understand His grace, which empowers us through Christ to come boldly before Him.
It’s been my observation that masses of believers struggle with being afraid of God. They’re uncomfortable with being close to Him and are often avoiding Him. An anxiousness never lets them settle into God’s love.
Maybe they feel they can never be holy enough to relate to God or have been religiously trained to perform for God. But simple intimacy with God is difficult, as their perception of God is fear-based.

I find lately it’s been difficult to sit in Gods presence - either worship, reading the Bible, etc., because I’m afraid of what God will say. This helps so much.. He speaks in love, and this is something I’m learning daily.. something helped me the other day: “If you feel so unworthy and that you’ve messed up so badly that God doesn’t love you, that’s unbelief.”. Right. Like I know I'm unwell and controlled by fear from the evil one but still feel very hopeless in getting out of this situation I'm in.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard/felt him say anything that didn’t leave me feeling warm, strong, and with a sense of wow. Even when rebuked it doesn’t feel dark and creepy and scary. It feels solid and peaceful and comes with a gentle but firm knowing and a gentle thunder in my heart. It has never left me afraid, scared, or confused even when relaying the less favorable but always comes with hope and strength. As the scripture says, God is light, in Him there is no darkness.
The enemy by contrast is loud and fearful and creepy and sometimes downright terrifying, and sends you spinning. Sometimes he tries to trick you into thinking you’re talking to God with illusions or dreams and more creepy ominous stuff to reinforce it but it’s fake. He’s fake news. The enemy’s voice is way different and always leaves you anxious or worse. He loooooves to project his fate onto believers and accuse them of exactly what he’s doing.
I just pray to God last night about been afraid of Him and that I want this to end , I hope this will gel me release that negative fear

Definitely something I struggle with. I am so afraid of God, it’s hard to accept His love. I have been struggling with having a clear conscience, today i realized my clear conscience will no come from looking within but from looking to Christ. He gives a clear conscience when we have faith that He died for our sins and is sufficient to do so.
“First if you want to know God , you have to see him as a Father “ . That gives me comfort

I have been struggling with OCD anxiety and double mindedness, ever since I could remember.
I am currently Working on having a intimate relationship with God.. I was raised in religion, then walked away, started practicing astrology and divination, and then gave my life to Jesus last year in August. I have always wondered what the fear of the lord meant. This is very helpful

I struggle with this. A negative fear of going to hell idk why. I repeneded and I try my best to be aware of my bad habits and I'm trying to understand that is not about works but faith. I don't really know how to experience God really.

I grew up afraid of my father and that has coloured how I experience God too.

AMEN AMEN AMEN Preachers always say God is being distant because we have a hidden sin. Well in that logic God is being distant from the preacher too because Jesus said No one is good except the Father. Literally every Christian is struggling with some kind of sin. So does that mean that none of us can approach God? Or is it just our own shame and fear our sin making us believe that God isn't close? Because Paul said to approach the throne of God boldly. And he even called himself the chief of sinners!

How can I be perfected in his love. Can someone help me. I am so lost now. All I wanted was to have a relationship with God, get to know him. But all I get is just fear and anxiety. I am tired of this already. To be honest I dont want to read my bible any stupid thing causes my anxiety, like if I say something bad that I think is a Sin. If I get a bad thought I get anxiety. This is just annoying me this is not what I wanted when I came to God. I feel like nothing is happening for me. I dont look for him i dont even know what to read anymore in the bible. I am so tired, no one guided me when I first came to God. I seriously dont know how to act what is a sin what to do around God.

This actually sounds like OCD. Don't be discouraged. OCD is a bad interpreter of anxiety, and anxiety comes from unhealthy and false and limited beliefs. When you feel the anxiety, don't panic and conclude that it is because God is mad because you have sinned or something like that. GOD IS A LOVING FATHER! Remember that. HE is your Loving Father.
The other thing you can do is go to a counselor. Talking about your experience may bring some insight and tools you can use.
But whatever you do, remember you are a Loved child of God who is just as broken as everyone else in this world. Be kind to yourself because He is kind to you first. Hope this helps. God bless. 🙏🏻

Do you have a video about the subject of dealing with the so overwhelming feelings of shame and guilty after backslidding repeatedly and deeply into porn? We feel shame of doing something filthy, even immoral, and hiding front others. We feel bad of wilfully doing something wrong knowing that was bad. We feel undeserving forgiveness. Unworthy of blessings. Unworthy of grace.
I’m with you ! I’m in the same situation! You are not the only want , please pray to God not to fix you but to show you his love ❤️, I still have those desires but God has show up in love but I wish I would stop doing what I’m doing for all. I hope Mark De Jesus can make a video about because that would help us.
Well to tell the truth, we don’t deserve God’s forgiveness and mercy that’s why it’s a gift. It’s something that we cannot earn. That’s probably the reason why you feel the way you do because our performance driven ways are conflicting with the grace and mercy that are gifts from God. I felt this way many times but I know it’s often the ocd I have. If you have an issue with porn know that you are not alone my friend. Many of us even me had that affliction. Do not be afraid and go to God with any issues he’s always a prayer away. God is all knowing he knows about our condition and difficulties he knows it won’t be easy for us, he is concerned about how earnest we are in trying to follow we will never be perfect but our hearts and mind seek to follow him. Please do not give up if you fail go to him again and again. God bless you.

Certainly not awe inspiring, but terrifying. Quite the contrast to say a shining figure exuding peace beyond all understanding, life itself, clothed in mist soft thunder and rainbows and peaceful lightning that just melts fear.

Pretty sure fear of the Lord is Jesus saying "Do what I say or die." I never see Jesus as human in the Bible. I see Him pretty much unemotional and mimicking human behaviors and "feelings". Most of what He says seems to have a very cold metallic feeling to it.
He wept when Lazarus died and offered mercy to the adulterous women when the pharacies tried to stone her. He cried and prayed alot for us he is far from unemotional.
Do what I say or die? Do you think it that bad? He gave us free will, He didn’t have to save us but He did. Man chooses to live in bondage and rebellion time and time again and not in Godliness. Trust me I know. He is heavily implying we need to follow Him or we will follow Satan to hell. There is only two sides.
@@tillyanne1133 There is zero reason why she needed to be stoned and Jesus should have paid attention to what was happening to Lazarus. Then he wouldn't have needed to die. Instead Jesus used him as an example. He literally "used" him. Because all we really are is dust conglomerates to Him in the first place. He isn't preventative at all, which is a big reason why America is falling in the first place. We don't try to prevent things from happening, just make the best of things when they do happen - which is pure stupidity at its finest. Instead of making sure certain things NEVER happen let's just assume they will and then make up for it afterwards. Corruption straight from the start.

How do I get to run an obsessive compulsion that seems like comes from a place of corruption even when I prayed against every spirit and everything all I keep doing is wanting to say the wrong things say all kind of filthy and ungodly things all kind of blasphemy what do I do to overcome this what is the source of this issue cuz I've prayed against OCD approved against all these things but what is going on
Okay Mark so effectively, that is proactively..what does it mean to be established in His love? How? Do we just pray for it?
“Establish” is to set up on a “firm or permanent basis.” When God establishes us, it’s forever.
It’s not something that we do, or something that God withholds from us. All we do is accept Him and He does the rest

HOW COULD SOMEONE TEACH THE FEAR OF THE LORD IF YOU NEVER BEEN THROUGH THE PROCESS OF THE FEAR OF GOD. WHICH THERE'S NOT ONE BIBLE ALIVE TODAY THAT CAN TEACH THE FEAR OF THE LORD.
If we don't listen to His warnings of what sin are and what's not wise to do, we will learn when we reap the harvest of lawlessness. Some of us have to learn the hard way because that's more meaningful for someone and tends to leave a mark on someone. The Bible does show what to avoid and what will come if we aren't careful or vigilant.

God bless you, sweet heart. He isn't a dangerous person. He is the safest Person! You can be yourself around Him. There is no need to be someone else. He is not going to lash at you in anger. He understands you and has compassion on you. And He cares when nobody else does. He is a loving Father. May we refuse to think of Him anything less than this - He is The Loving Farther we always longed for!Jesus is proof. To save us, to rescue, to free, to redeem - it took nothing less than the very death of the Only One God's Begotten Son. Father gave His Beloved Son for you and me to show us that He loves us just as He loves Him. No one will love us as He does. He loves us at our worst. The Holy Blood of Jesus Christ continually washes us from all unrighteousness so His Holy Spirit can abide in us. We can't save ourselves. And we better don't try. We'll fail ourselves miserably. He must save and He Alone. He is our sound foundation and our only true Cornerstone. Don't be your own judge. May God help you to receive true love from above. May He help you to trust as a little child! His grace and peace be with you and those you love.

Evil will come to those who do evil and evil towards a good person should be met with grace and understanding the fact that lost people act nuts. We now don't have to act like how other wicked people act. We can draw strength from God through Christ Jesus and lean on His example with the help of the holy spirit. All love casts out all fear and truth will set us free but people need someone to walk with them sometimes in order to see it. Evil brings death into places where life needs to be at and it will destroy things if we do not care about what we do. Evil really messes things up, it's the opposite of truth and love and a world without truth and love will be a very bad place to be. There are some of us still around and until we all die, we will continue to be kind people. God is never on short supply on His people, there are people who love God here still and therefore the poor and weak are still being taken care of via taxes, volunteer work or feeding and housing the homeless. God goes further than that though, He gives us a new life and a new directive. Not only does He restore, but God also strengthens and anoints us for the job He wants us to do. As a result, we have a new mind and have been equipped to help all people find God too so they can not only have a home, meal and job but a meaning to life and a goal to aim towards. God keeps giving but He can also take away so we should use this as encouragement to do well.
