Yes, it doesn't make sense, does it? But it's the usual angry types you see on the pro Hamas parades. Thankfully from the live streams I've been watching from the unite the kingdom rally it's gone ahead peacefully.
What were the marches and protests? I know what John said, but which group was protesting people celebrating GB? Why were they doing that? I live in a small town in Vermont, and we never have any kind of marches.
@@jo4vt A short and admittedly inadequate summary: the way I’ve seen it, British patriots are mad about the large crowds marching in London and other major cities pretty much every Saturday since October (with escalating violence and rioting), and their lack of respect for Britain, the country they live in. So people came from across Britain to get together in similar large numbers to stand up for their countries. This event was planned and advertised for some time, so the other side decided to counter-protest, calling it a protest against “racism”. (If you’re from the US, the situation is kind of like the border/illegal immigrant/housing crisis in the US, groups of people in the US burning the flag, etc.)

Wow - so Zuckerberg’s shower have done something right for once. I can’t believe they’ve demonetised those exploiting the guards out of the goodness of their hearts - they don’t have any. I suspect there’s been some pressure from some big wig somewhere - good on them if they have. Love those new horses - they must be 18hh at least, possibly 18.2 or 3. They’re enjoying the attention at the moment - I wonder how soon they’ll have had enough of multiple hands pawing at their faces before they take a few crowd control tips from Arnie.
Hello again John from Winnipeg, Manitoba,Canada. Love your videos hopefully people will give the horses and troopers space but that is wishful thinking.
What a sweet horse (at the beginning). I think it looked like he was grooming the lady chatting with you, while she was scratching him. Apparently that’s how horses interact with each other? I don’t know if that applies to how they interact with humans, but it’s what I thought of. 😊
Ha ha yes my white jumper was full of grass from his mouth. He was so gentle I didn’t feel it. He is an absolute sweetheart it made my day and meeting John
36:47 It’s so bizarre when people slip in right next to the horse for their own photo op, when there’s already a group there that was respectfully giving the horse space for their picture. It’s like, if you don’t crowd the horse for your own picture, someone else will just get right in there as if you aren’t there. Sigh.
Beautiful horse, thanks for showing this video and many more to come, I have never been able to get there to see these horses but just wants me to visit London even and it would be my first time in London x
Afternoon John, enjoyed your video. Good what FB has done to those accounts. Just at the end of this video when the new horses came out, I loved the trot on the horse going over to the left box, so elegant, beautiful horse.

Well said ❤ I watched the live streams all day and it was as peaceful and inclusive as the one on the 1st of June, which was unjustly maligned by the MSM. Anyway back to my catch up with John and the horses ❤
Is this for the 27th July Jonathon?. The one big march going on is the Patriots one, very very peaceful and that was led by a guy with the bagpipes. No need for riot police for that one we could not have had a better day.
John goes on how many expected as well as expected trouble they have a ratio of officers per thousand protesters but also how many riot TSG are hiding round corners gives idea but it’s never good having two groups out at the same time .
Thanks for today's video and hoping you can confirm the name for this huge, glorious new horse who is such a beauty. Without the traffic it seemed so much calmer, quieter and safer at the entrance to Horse Guards. The horse in the other box, of which we only caught a glimpse just before the changerover, was again Waygood.

You missed the greatest ever gathering of our true patriots, 50 thousand wonderful Britons, at Trafalgar Square. You should have taken London City Walks there.
I've been trying to determine why the horse guards boots have "wings", Any explanation would be grateful. Thanks for letting "us" know what is going on in your videos.
Hopefully someone who knows more about this lets you know. I think it is from a time when horses were used in battle and it was to protect the rider from sabre slashes.
Sympa. !!!! Monique 🇫🇷 🤝.
I read a comment in an older video where someone said the wings on the boots protect more of the legs from sword attacks. As someone else said, the boots don’t go all the way around the thighs, or the soldiers wouldn’t be able to bend their knees or walk.
Calvary Jackboot - The term originally denoted tall 'winged' leather cavalry boots, which were reinforced against sword blows by use of mail sewn into the lining of the leather. The 'wings' (backward projections) on these high boots particularly protected a rider's knee-joint from a sword blow. The term originally denoted tall winged leather cavalry boots, which had been "jacked", or reinforced against sword blows by use of mail (armor) sewn into the lining of the leather. The wings on these high boots particularly protected a rider's knee-joint from a sword blow. These boots are still worn and still so termed by the Household Cavalry Regiment of the British Army, founded in the 17th century. The term originates from the French word Jaque (m) meaning mail. The term is of Catalan origin, descended from the Arabic schakk. These boots were made very heavy by the mail reinforcement, and are slightly less so today from the use of modern materials as stiffeners. There are few manufacturers of Cavalry Jackboots extant in the 21st century, the most famous being Schnieder Boots (pronounced Schneeder) of Mayfair, London, the official supplier to Her Majesty (now His Majesty) Household Cavalry. 🙂

The horse in the other box, of which we only caught a glimpse just before the changerover, was again Waygood.
I love your videos! You're my fav! Thank you for sharing these amazing Horse Guards and their beautiful horses. I live in the USA and would love to beable to come to London and maybe get to meet you.

Stunning horse ,enjoyed video thanks john ,stay safe
@@battles146 thank you for the information, on Jack Boots, little snippets of history like this fascinates me.
