I don"t know either. My second owner, 230k mile, 92 Yota 4x4 has been at our new house for over a year (we've owned it for 12yrs), hauling stuff and pulling trailers nearly every day, and never once had the hood up. In fact, the only time I ever HAD to replace anything, was when it needed a water pump, a clutch and an alternator (original factory alt, and I had it rebuilt). It's also not the 22R/RE, it's the "dreaded" 3.0 V6. Conversely, my neighbor has a newer Jeep. During the same year, it's been in their driveway, hood up, literally every one to two months min. I'd love to have a removable top again (had a Samurai, also incredibly reliable), but I just don't have the time to be fixing stuff constantly. Why do people still buy Jeeps? My guess is, excellent marketing, superior aftermarket support, and a removable top.
Why wouldn't all manufacturers follow what toyota is doing to make a more reliable product? If ever car ran for 300k no one would buy new cars as often the cell phone companies are seeing the flag ships not selling like they used to
300k with out rebuilding a transmission? Or engine? Or a major component? I have a 2016 f150 w/ 125k and it is throwing a code for the cat. That is a major component to invest in at only 125k ? Somethings not right here. I would have thought it would be good for 200k before I have to drop over 1k on it
@@jasonrico8558 most new cars are engineered to around 125 or 150k before they start messing up. Look up videos of mechanical engineers talking about it that use to work for car manufacturers.
TOYOTA is A CHAMPION compared to ANYTHING! HOWEVER, JEEP has a certain look and appeal ! I love TOYOTA, but im buying the RUBICON in this picture over the TOYOTA land cruiser 2025 (which I love also) and this white Rubicon is PURE SEX ICON!

Toyota is behind on EV's. I hope they catch up soon, especial with Tesla's new "unboxed" production method.
