Lol did anyone else notice they both ride mongo? There’s nothing wrong with it but from experience it j makes things harder for tricks and like practicality
beginner skateboarder here. just so you know you’re supposed to push with your back foot and keep your front foot on. the way you were pushing was opposite and called mongo. you can do it that way but it will make things harder than necessary. hope this helps! 🌸

Stephanie Vega if you feel more comfortable pushing mongo then do it but try every now and then to push with your back foot. don’t be ashamed about pushing mongo, I pushed mongo for like 6 months before I got comfortable pushing with my back foot
@@stephaniev16 I think you could have a goofy foot placement instead. Try using your right foot as the forward foot instead of the usual left foot. I think the fact that you're putting your right foot in the back is why skating Mongo feels more comfortable.

I love how confident she is, I look up to her sooo much, and as I am plus size I feel sometimes down and then I look at her insta and vids and I see how beautiful she is I feel more and more confident, she helped me to find self love in myself and now I'm rocking crop tops and jeans and still being healthy and active but staying the plus size I am ❤️😣😍thank you so much 💌💞😢🙏

holy MONGGOO. been skating for years...since childhood. looks like you're regular. try putting your left foot at the front of the board..push off with your right and step on. It'll be a lot easier i promise. love you
this is so so so cute! i love seeing other girls skate, i always get so nervous being the only girl at skate parks. also, if you get bigger wheels, rocks will be less of a problem! my board has Bootleg Seismic 80a 70mm and they ride super smooth & i rarely trip over rocks :)

I didn’t have anyone to teach me either so chairs and fences helped me! I started on a Penny board and set up chairs in a row so I could use the back to grab onto if needed. On days when I was feeling more brave I would practice in my front yard and hold onto the fence to help me start off but don’t always depend on it!! It takes practice and patience but when you get the hang of it, it’s super easy and fun! Hope you can learn with your long board!

I started longboarding about a year ago and then took it to the skateparks with my boyfriend helping me out. I will say being the only girl at skateparks with a longboard was not easy but it got fun after and sold my longboard and got a normal skateboard and still skate at skateparks yet learning. One day you girls should go at skateparks it gets more fun on ramps.

I have the same 42" Hana board. I highly recommend you swap out the trucks for some Surfskate trucks. It will transform your board and give you so much more control and super sharp turning. I put Carver CX trucks on mine (They're actual clone knock offs from a board I got on Amazon branded as Boilgon and was about $60 on sale for the compete board, then I just swapped the trucks). With the Surfskate trucks you can carve much much sharper which allows you to keep speed very slow going down steeper hills amd makes riding a long board 1000x more fun.

I longboard too! Although I fell a few days ago and landed on my right knee. I can't walk very well because sometimes it hurts to just walk. I am trying to trust to board again because I completely lost trust after falling. I don't even know how I fell in the first place
Eventually you will be able to roll right over obstructions. Typically slow speeds cause you to have issues with rocks and stuff like that. Just have your feet in the right spot and have decent speed.
Y’all are talking ab hating pebbles but where I skate it’s ALL pebbles. Btw the hill that I go on is SUPER steep. One time I went down that hill (that is basically all pebbles mind you) and I got speed wobbles… if I had just waited a bit longer I would have been fine, but I panicked bc there were cars around me and the speed wobbles were getting bigger. (I have another hill on the other side and if I kept going I would’ve been fine but I didn’t) anyways, I ended up falling and now I have a pretty big scar on my knee. Plus, whenever I jump off I usually run, but I couldn’t bc I’m short and I was going up another steep hill with too much speed.
I listen to the same song that was playing its called pumped up kicks and I actually will like skating while listening to that song while I skate and long board but this video was funny and fun and I liked watching it.😆😄🤗
im trying to get better at longboarding but i live on a beachy area with sand everywhere lol- but one thing ive noticed is my board is really slow and super loud compared to my friends’? ive cleaned the bearings but it didnt do much for it. anyone know how to fix? besides changing my footing? i wish i had nice streets like theirs i live in New York 😭😭😭
