It Was 31 Years Ago October 3 1993 Your Texas Rangers Play Their Last Game At The Old Arlington Stadium In Arlington Tx The Home Of The Same Team For 22 Years And Seasons Here In North Texas The Dallas Fort Worth Area So Thank You So Much Texas Rangers.
Same here. I was born in 85 and went to quite a few games with my dad and brother in Arlington stadium. My dad caught a foul ball hit off Nolan ryan hit behind home plate about 30 -50 rows directly behind it. Unfortunately he let me and my brother play catch with it and we lost it😂😂
This is I'm remember I was 5 years old they transferred the plates from arlington stadium to globe life park and them to globe life field it's also Nolan ryan's last game. that's why I'm became rangers fan.
If they could have held out another few years at Arlington Stadium, the Ballpark would have had a retractable roof on it (the technology wasn’t quite there yet in the early 90s) and the current stadium would have never been needed
@@FXYLGHT Right The new park is so bland it doesn't have unique features like the old one in right field porch the double deck grand stand poles that resembles the old ball parks the center field batters eye grass those offices in center field Brought the charm. The new one just doesn't have that feeling. It's just bland It's the exterior literally shaped like a barbecue grill not like the beautiful brick work of the old one. Sad such a beautiful park has to go to waste.

the home of your mlb's texas rangers arlington stadium in arlington tx from 1972 - 1993 for 22 seasons and years so thank you so much.
Wow thanks for sharing. I still can't believe they've already gone to a new park. It's got none of the charm the Ballpark in Arlington had.
I don't care for the new one, it's like a giant soul-less mall.
@@jasonroach6478 Absolutely agree. It looks like a freaking Home Depot, not a ballpark
@@jasonroach6478exactly. The the ballpark in Arlington was the best imo out of all the stadiums.
The new stadium has a roof, therefore it's superior to the other 2 ballparks.

I was at the game that day. I was junior in high school back then. Thanks for the upload!
Insane that I've been alive for two of these kind of ceremonies for the same team.

Toronto's Rogers Centre was Built in 1989 with a Retractable Roof.
They've should've never torn down Arlington Stadium. It was brutally hot sure, but it was worth it.
No it was a dump. You love it because you grew up going there, but it was a terrible place.
texas rangers has 3 stadiums in arlington tx between dallas and fort worth
36:06 that moment is so funny now that W is a former US President. "Heeeey buddy go get Nolan for me".

50 to 100 years.... Ha

They made the right call, needed a retractable roof. But it isn’t the ball park in Arlington.
@@JLSAUNDERS72 they absolutely did. It felt like baseball. This new one feels like my uncle’s barndominium.
I remember when they demolished this stadium. There was rubble there for months.
now bally sports southwest
I grew up going to Arlington Stadium but it was a dump. Glad the Rangers now have a good stadium with a roof.
