Thanks for sacrificing yourself for us Gunny. If you weren't making winter videos, I'd probably be holed up in my basement until spring going through withdrawals! The temperature is supposed to hit in the +ve this weekend....maybe I'll take the old girl out. No....not my wife....took her out last week.
Yeah, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to take for the benefit of all ... I mean, somebodies gotta do it, so why not me huh !!?? ... WOO HOO !! Hope you can get out & loosen up the old girl .... and I too mean the bike !! Wink ! Wink ! Glad you enjoyed the video & Thanks for watch'in Boeing Guy !!
Awesome video!! I found myself kind of swaying or ducking under trees I thought you were going to run into! haha! I felt like I was on the back of your bike! Love that you make your own trails!!! Only in the snow....;)
Why Thank You !! Glad you enjoyed the ride ... ah ... video !! WOO HOO !! Yup, only able to make our own trails when there's deep snow, but it's great when we can !! THANKS for watch'in Girl !!
OK you guys got way to much snow it makes me want to put my tracks back on and fiend a hockey rink to go ride on. Great video I liked the weather shot around the 3:47 mark. We're getting some snow so the tracks might get to go back on I hope.
Thanks Dave !! Glad you enjoyed the vid !! No, No, No ... more snow .... we need more snow !! WOO HOO !! .... And Thanks for watch'in my fair weather friend !!
Hey Gunny hope all is well! Did the Polaris in this video have any issues with running tracks. I’m thinking I might upgrade to a twin cylinder and I found a good deal on a new 850. I’m just a little hesitant because of the all wheel drive and no dedicated 4x4 option. I’d have a can am but a 800 is 5k more than the Polaris here!
Hey Dean, Thanks for check'in out the video. As far as your question about the Polaris & tracks, NOPE, the Polaris never had any issues running tracks. This guy doesn't ride with me any longer, so I'll answer your question from what I remember. He did have to have wheel spacers installed, which I believe came in the track kit. The front track drive sprockets were a different size than the rear ones. This was to "Fool" the 4WD system into thinking the front was slipping which in turn, locked the front end up so he would be in 4WD & have pulling power to the front tracks. Anyway, I think that's how it worked. But from what I remember, regardless of how the 4WD system worked, he never had any problems getting thru the snow as long as he was in 4WD. If he would forget to flip the switch to 4WD, he would get stuck ... same I would ... HAHAHAHAHA !!! Here's hoping you get your 850, a set of tracks, and start having a blast in the snow !!!
Hey there JHFWIC ... long time no talk to !! Good to hear from you again. You still do'in the mountain biking thing ?? Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video and THANKS a bunch for watch'in too ... it's much appreciated !!
Yup, magic days for sure !! Ah, where you at or where am I at ?? I'm sitt'in in front of the computer at the moment ....... wait, you mean, where was I riding at ?? Oh, well ... I is in Northern Utah. Glad you enjoyed the vid & THANKS for watch'in too !!
Ya I too like the quad sound better then music. Love the video, we want to get tracks for our Polaris’s. I stopped using music, there’s just too much BS with copyright stuff.
@@FawnandEvon , I wonder why I never received a notification about your reply ?? Anyway, Glad you enjoyed the video and the tunes. But I too have quit using tunes ... most of the time anyway. I do use short segments maybe at the beginning, the ending & if I put many photo's in the video. But no more full video's with tunes because like you mentioned, it's to much of a hassle. Did you ever get a set of tracks ?? I hope you did ... and PRAY FOR SNOW !!! THANKS for watch'in the video too ... My Long Lost Friend !! WOO HOO !!!
Hi, I’m investigating the different types of tracks and my favourite are the Can-am avalanche, just one thing I would need a ca-am. So I need to keep thinking what I really need and where I want to ride. I hope to order my set this coming week. Thank you too my friend! ☃️
I agree, trying to pick the right track can be frustrating & none of them are cheap. Did you mean the Can-Am Apache tracks ?? I ask because I've never heard of the Avalanche tracks ... of course, that doesn't mean they aren't out there, just ask'in. I will say, if you decide to get a Can-Am and you get a set of Apache Backcountry Tracks, it's gonna cost ya cause Can-Am stuff isn't cheap ... as you well know, I'm sure. Let me know what you decide cause either way, you're gonna have a blast ... WOO HOO !!!
Cool intro! Awesome footage as usual! Loved the slo-mo jump on the snow drift. What were those items you passed around the 11:00 mark? Looked like a brid nest up in the tree, but the other 2 items . . . ???? Thanx for sharin'!
Thanks Q ... glad you enjoyed the video. Those items you mentioned are the Snotel Site, they measure the amount of snow that falls throughout the winter. There are several of them in the area I ride so I kinda know before I get there how much snow there is & the temperatures it's been. THANKS for watch'in Q !!
Hey Alex, glad you enjoyed the video ... not sure what you mean about the tunes, but nope, I didn't write to anyone about them. UA-cam informed me they have third party rights or something like that, but let me use them. Thanks for watch'in too !!
AlexMotov I'm not violating any copyright laws. However, UA-cam does inform me I am using Third Party Content. If you violate any copyright laws, UA-cam blocks your video. And I try to make sure I don't go that far.
Great job Gunny! That sure did look like fun! I think you put more tracking miles on in this video than I have all winter. :( Were you using your gopro for this one, looked nice and clear whatever you were using. Definitely looks like there is getting a bit of snow there, makes for a nice smooth ride. Thanks for taking us along.
Why THANK YOU Cubbee My Northern Friend !! Oh, it was way more than simple fun, let me tell ya !! I haven't used the GoPro at all for months & not at all during the track'in season. Yup, the snow is beginning to pile up, but it melts almost as fast since the temps are rising. Glad you enjoyed the video & THANKS a bunch for watch'in Cubbee Guy !!
Great video Gunny - you've got some really nice powder going on there. Great scenery!
THANKS San Juan Guy !! Glad you enjoyed the video. And THANKS for watch'in too !!
