Grenadiers seem to fill a similar niche to the Doppelsoldners; they can be extremely effective units in doing certain jobs, but if you use them poorly it will be a huge waste of resources. Dopps absolutely destroy cavalry (I once had some 10 or 12 dopps slay 20 hussars, and most of them survived reasonably unscathed), take down buildings very fast, and also destroy heavy infantry (and to a lesser extent light infantry) if you manage to get them into range and surround the enemy before they start taking fire; but send dopps marching straight on towards anything that is not cavalry and they're as good as dead. Grenadiers take down buildings very fast as well, are very tough, and can take down infantry formations fast, but they are not anything special against cavalry, and fare poorly against infantry with high damage (be it dopps or upgraded skirms), especially if they are in lower numbers, which is usually the case. Both can be unreasonably effective, but they need cover and tactics to work, you can't just march a formation of them towards the enemy by themselves and expect results, which is why they're so fun to use!
Lol told you they were amazing! They are great age V too, i usually mix them up with OP British musks which cover them very well Just imagine the damage of Imperial fully upgraded grenadiers :P
From Advanced Arsenal the military drummer, paper cartridge and flint lock will also effect your Grenadier. Along with your musketeer and Grenadier hp, attack, and combat shipments you could could have made EVEN better than you did.
I would love to see japan next! I’m trying to learn how to play them because I hate to play against them all the time. Now I want to use them by myself to annoy the other ones in the same way :D Good game btw, loved that stragedy, thx for uploading :)
Idk if France is gonna be the next civ you'll try to master (you'll do it sooner or later anyway), but when you do play with it, please try different strategies. By that I mean not just go with cav every single match even though it might not be cuirassiers since French have goons and huss too, but go heavy on skirms for instance. France has an unique upgrade for skirms which makes them strong just like Dutch skirms so it may not be a bad idea to switch from all cav sometimes (not to mention they have 2 hc cards that make the skirms even better)
I like playing as the British because since they’re the most prevalent antagonists in the series, on top of going on record for being the ultimate, *APEX* most evil empire in human history that worked very hard at being a tyranny, it just feels edgy and good to be bad... lol

Pretty sure it's British and that it's not even close. Ottomans have royal guard but Improved Grenades is better than that. The musk attack and hp cards also affect grens for Brits.
The way you use brits grenadier not very accurate, grenadier need to be accompanied with musketeer and hussar, also need to have all improve card in deck like damage card, hitpoints card, combat card and most important Improved Grenades card with all Advance Arsenal improvement. After that if you upgrade to imperial lvl, brits grenadier can be really OP because of the area damage.

Dogs can be pretty effective on an asian map with treasures that buff your explorer. Especially if you send in both explorer cards.
