- It's our first walk back in a couple weeks! I can't walk him by myself and my parents were out of town soooo we are happy to be back walking.

It’s so hard to tell how big he really is…but when you see him on the sidewalk you can see he’s massive…your a good Mom…he’s very lucky!

He moves surprisingly fast for a 175 pound turtle. It must be a major issue for you folks if he decides he doesn't feel like going where you want him to go.
luckily it doesn't happen toooo frequently but that's why we always wear Tiptoe shoes!!

I am noticing the lines on his shell turning black. Where as before it was white, why is that?
when they are white it is a sign that he is going through a growth spurt, now that they have darkened we know he's through it!

It just amazes me how fast he can walk! And also the stamina he has is surprising! When hand feeding Tiptoe, has he ever bit your hand/fingers hard? 🤔😵
Tortoises being slow is like the lemming-thing :/ they just don't *need* to be fast most of the time. Grass ain't running away.

I didn't realize that tip toe can really move along a!!!he is really massive !!he has grown so much in the past few months !!has he really stopped growing? I always wondered, can a tortoise become overweight? Wouldn’t the shell make it impossible?
they can. The shell doesn't grow with that so the fleshy bits start squishing outwards where the legs are.
