Older v8s may not be as powerful as modern ones but man do they sound badass
If you put heads and an intake/carb, those 460s will scoot
@@cutts4294 i had a 460ci ford f250 and 440 magnum d-250 i did heads, 460 got a dual plane high rise, 440 got a single plane high rise, both holley snipers efi system, and both got custom grind cams. both were brutal on the 1/4, but i squeazed a lil more out the 440 on the top end. Loved both trucks equally though
@@lililililiilililililil9828 man I don’t doubt it
Not to sure about your comment re Older V8s may not be as powerful as modern. Old school V8s definitely look and sound way beastier
@Ford HIGHBOY 490 my dad has a 460 and it's an absolute monster
You know he doesn’t film the under side when there’s no cats lol
Literally 😂
does georgia have emissions? can they do that work if they live in a different state?
@@rialbb we got emissions but only if it’s manufactured within the past 20 years
@@swag230 yup and florida basically has none
1989 f250s don't even have cats
Ahhh yes, the sound of 6 mpg 🤣🤣 I love it
If you’re lucky 😂
If you’re going down a hill u might get 6 mpg 💀
Mine used to get 8-10 stock, but it’s dropped to 6mpg lately. I need to get a new cat on it, I think that’s the problem.
@@aurktman1106 actually remove the cat completely you'll thank me later, unless you have emissions then you can't do that
why do people care so much about mpgs in a truck? If you want mpgs just go buy a prius
California be watching like: 👀🚔
Commiefornia bro!
i don’t even think we have that law anymore lol
@@ReidHenderson you got that right
@Satan we don't have that law anymore
Lmao I love living in California and seeing these comments. We have the most lenient traffic cops on planet earth. Period.
I love the sound of the 460.
now thats what i like!
loud and tough old beasts! 💪
My dad had a old f350 with a semi camper and flat bed, it also had straight pipes that went to two big chrome stacks with those covers on the end that made a clanging noise and it sounded great. The guy we bought it off of bought it back and I don’t blame him
That's mint.....
I just bought a 1968 Mercury F-350 dually with a 460, headers, lumpy cam, and 650cfm 4 barrel carb. It's going to be the farm service truck
Finally a guy pulled off normal so we can actually hear some exhaust notes 😊
I love brick nose fords as my personal favorite. Job well done.
Being a mechanic I truly love these old vehicles. Nothing beats these old big blocks. I love the 460. Great liable engine. These new vehicles regardless of brand, too much bullshit just to dumbify the public it’s out of hand. Too much stuff to go wrong just to prevent stupidity
My dad has this same truck. This thing roars when it starts haha
I've got a 93 7.5 xlt it's the best truck I've ever had
I have a 88 f250 460 5 speed that sounds just like that. I love it!!
I am looking at a 1997 f350 with the 460 big block and I think the guy has a 4in exhaust on it so the first thing I’m doing is getting the 12in short and fat cherry bomb glass pack
This is the best sounding vehicle you ever posted
One of the few engines that sounds good with a raspy exhaust
Literally sounds like a lion 🦁
Sounds beast! Fords 7.5 v8 is a work horse!
Great video. I have a 1974 Lincoln Mark VI with a 460. I'm putting dual exhaust, straight pipe on it.
I live in NH and any vehicle pre ‘96 doesn’t have to pass emissions just safety...
I had a ‘95 f150 351W headers no cats true duel exhaust with single chamber mufflers....
all depends on the state and emissions laws...
Lol it’s no cat straights, they can’t show the bottom
lol I know
perfect exhaust and sound for that old truck! i don't do Fords, but buddy of my likes em
☮
I have a 7.5 89' F-350 banks headers 3in true duals to 2 Flowmaster 40s sounds mint but I am thinking of adding a x pipe
X-pipe for top end power, H-pipe for low end torque.
I'm not a ford guy but man this sounds good I like it
Sounds mean. Shops around me absolutely refuse to put any tips larger than 3-4 inch on exhaust builds
Love my 7th and 8th gen fords got 3 of each f250,350 single ad dual wheels with 351w-460 engines
My dad had a 98 as well he sold it when I was born he said dipper runs we’re going to be expensive. 🤣🤣🤣
I just bought an 87 f250 7.5 4 speed, with dual glaspacks, those are going away and using an x pipe with 4 inch resonator tubes
Damn! That 460 big block screams
Sounded pretty damn good. Would like to get me an older truck like this.
Same. Nothing like a big old American truck.
I always dreamed of having one then I got my 87 f350 same engine as this one the 460 gasser. Besides filling the gas tank every couple days, No regrets :)
I agree they don't make em like that anymore... I have an 89 f250 and a 90 f150. Solid old soldiers.
Wish my 7.3 sounded half as good. Makes my Windsor sound like a 4 banger.
I have a 1991 ford f250 and it has 460 as well. I love the sound of it
Sounds like freedom. Love it.
Sounds like future burned valve seats
It's so quiet at idle but when you give it gas it opens up. It sounds catless.
It is catless thats why they didnt show the bottom lmao
It was 98 decibels at idle lmao. It wasn't quiet at all
Pretty sure I used to go to school with the kid who used to own this a few years back
i just got a f350 with the 7.5 i’m just trying to find mods for it i think im going to do this for sure 😂😂
this is the closest model to the truck i have …most the videos about f250’s are for 95/97 and older …i have a 90’ F250…it’s rare af today!!
No they definitely don't make trucks like this. It's a shame. That's why I'm in love with my 78 Cheyenne.
That’s just absurd lol. I wouldn’t be able to drive that more than 5 minutes. It’s cool but I couldn’t handle it lol. I had my 4.3l straight piped without a cat and it rattled the shit out of my head haha. So I tried the flowfx no cat, still terrible. Got a cat installed and my exhaust welded to the back (it was cut at the muffler) and it sounds soooo good now (at least for a v6). It doesn’t sound like every other 4.3l with a super 10 or 40 series that just tries to be a v8. It actually sounds really nice and just loud enough. If anyone is looking for a good exhaust for a 4.3l I would recommend the flowfx or magnapack.
Love the F250... I drive a E350 super duty things a beast!!!!!!
Now that’s what a truck is supposed to sound like!
I hope you guys got the crossover for the O2.
Do you have an install video?! I wanna do this to mine!
Sounds so much better than a diesel any day...
Any sound clips/set ups for the 4.9?
Nice pickup. Love that old body
That thing is badassssss
If I had to have a big gas like that same one , I personally would like to have it as quiet as it can be it with the same kind of power or more , for me it does not have to be loud , I live next to a busy street with loud people all the time , that's my idea 😁
Im fine where i live
I could make that bih roar
@@nestordagoat4887 I believe you can , 😁😁
Can you link the rest of the parts?
Sounds perfect 👌
What mufflers ?
Exactly
🇦🇺👍🏾 sweet sound great work
Now you guys gotta find somebody that wants their big block chevy 454 truck straight piped.
Damn, prolly not legal, but what a beast
Damnit that was awesome
Had the same set up
The Georgia plates complete it lol
I would think a mid-pipe of any sorts would benefit it and take away those heavy pulses
I've got true duals with super 10s on my 95 f350 dually 7.5l
Does anyone know what size those wheel and tires are and the lift
Does that thing have a manual in it
That sounds amazing 😭😭
WHERE IS URE SHOP AT ILOVE URE WORK ???
Nashville, TN
Sounds just like my 95 f150 5.0 I have the exact same setup but mine exits straight out the rear instead of the side. I also have long tube headers.
Where do y’all get the tips
Raw
I’m buying a f-250 7.5L v8 extended cab long bed with a grill like that one
Any updates on that purchase? You like it?
Brah I have a 94 F350 7.5L V8....I want to straight pipe so bad but I live in California :/.
I got a 460 in the back of my truck for a 77 maverick
Saw on marketplace for sale
Sounds just like mine
Those are some neighborhood haters!
🔥🔥🔥🎃🎃🎃
Fuck yeah!
Is it carbureted?
yes
Given its an ‘89, it will be fuel injected unless it’s been converted to carb. My ‘89 460 f250 is EFI, and I’ve never seen another of this gen with a carburetor.
I got that V8
Needs a bigger cam
I had a chance to buy one of these :/
Me like!
I fw it
0:22😄
Way too raspy, but, it could grow on me
Don’t make them like that anymore? How 😂😂😂 Ford makes a 7.3L engine and the ranger is as big as a F350 was back in the 90s….
They stole my cat and muffler as soon as I smogged it in California been running it like that I got 6 more months to figure it out hate thieves it’s also too loud even for me
💦
Did somebody downgrade it to carburetor? Sounds like it runs as crappy as a carb motor.
#shib
2 1/4 into a 6” tip?? 😂
Im trying to buy one before biden makes them illegal
Aftermarket companies: we make literally endless amounts of different good sounding exhausts for practically anything
Some kid in a 460 butterface: HuRrRrRr StRaIgHt PiPe Go ClAp ClAp
Maybe I’m the odd one out, but straight pipes sound horrible. Just loud and obnoxious with no real growl or tone to them.
First
200
Hopefully he got noise pollution tickets, no excuse for this
My ears...
Man i hate to be this guy but this "true dual" stuff needs to stop lol. Youre wasting power and cool noises without a cross over of some sort.
Those mirrors make it look like 💩
2.25?! Smdh 🤦🏻♂️
Man, that sounds like shit.
