Former occultist here who used to work as a clairvoyant and reverted in 2019. Djinn is an umbrella term for many kinds of beings, the ones most often discussed are the malevolent kind. Revert of Italian and mix origin here of about 20 years now (42 years old now). Since i first became muslim all the insomnia that i had was gone, and i was able to fall asleep in around 5-15 mins when i was tired normally. Bad dreams, which are caused by the satan and his minions, are now blocked with a few special prayers to the Almighty One Creator before sleeping, who sends angels to guard you, and putting oneself in a state of spiritual purity (called wudu in arabic, not to be confused with vudu 😆). This religion is the truth guys. If you are looking for truth, know you have to submit yourself to the Almighty, most compassionate, most merciful One, which is what a Muslim encompasses.

As salamu alaykoum, I'm also of Italian and mixed decent and revert of 15 years now. I grew up with my Nonna telling me not to eat things from certain people cause they might have put magic in it, etc. Always warning about the evil eye and I always thought she was a bit crazy. Until I became Muslim. I have stories of sihr in my Italian family, it was very much practiced in Campania region. My great grandmother on my French side did ouija and speaking to jinns. Experimenting with rituals and the such, one morning I couldn't move and these dozens of entities were whispering in my ear and holding my arm down. my eyes were wide awake and I was not sleeping. Very scary. A year later I did a ritual as I was falling asleep and the same sounds entered the room and this time I could see them moving around the bed, like moving negative spaces, just like in the Ghost movie. I was so scared that I stopped doing the ritual, it lasted only a second or two, and I dabbled with it 2x and the same result took place. I was so scared that I had to stop. I saw Jin twice. One was male, and after a week I saw a female Jin. The male was exactly like the ones from sleep paralysis. The female was a round 2 meters tall, wearing dark clock with long grey wrinkled face. The male came to my room while the female went to my sisters room where I followed her. After few days I found an "lets call it hand made artifact" in the bathroom inside the basin since it was partially clogged. They stopped showing up after we threw it outside. Beside that, I had some in my dreams, but in dreams they can look however they want since its a dream. I had another encounter once but thats it.
Jinns are made of fire, also known as energy. Their true form is basically something impossible to see. However, they can create illusions in our minds if we allow them, making themselves appear beautiful. God Almighty mentioned in Chapter 37, Ayah 65: "Its emerging fruit as if it were heads of the devils." Here, God Almighty is describing a tree in Hell that the criminals of this world will eat from. Clearly, God Almighty would not make such a fruit appear beautiful; it is obviously ugly. This implies that any jinn who becomes a devil by committing evil deeds will also appear ugly. Jinns are made of energy, and we barely know anything about them. So, yeah.

Only the christians who fabricated the story in the bible believe Satan came in the form of snake And satan appearing in the form of a snake doesn't make sense as Adam and Hawa being the first humans would have rejected an approach from an animal coming to deceiver them

I am a muslim and I used a mirror as part of an experiment in my theory of neural relativity. I have quite a deep (mathematically sound) theory as to why we can get neural resonances from certain mirror interactions resulting in exactly as you describe. It doesn't require Jinn.

Many years ago, while I was asleep, I had an eerie experience where I saw the shadow of a Jinn entering my room and disturbing me. I can still clearly remember the moment when the shadow of the Jinn dashed quickly across the wall and suddenly crushed my pillow, and I could physically feel it. It was likely caused by the reflection of the streetlight in my bedroom, which wasn't very dark at the time, allowing me to see the shadow moving swiftly across the wall. Recently, I watched the film A Quiet Place: Day One, and I was surprised to see a similar alien creature depicted in the movie. It instantly reminded me of my past experience, and I could easily relate the creature's appearance to that of the Jinn. It seems Hollywood has a good idea of what Jinn might look like.

I have seen one before as a kid. It was in my window, as it had appeared in several dreams before. It was a pure white face, with void eyes. The face didn't have shadows or reflect light despite being pale white, and didn't look like it was made of anything like plastic or flesh. All it did was look in at me, and that alone was unsettling. Its appearance wasn't inherently scary. But the fact it was there at all was.

My nightmare and probable encounter with a jinn story: A couple of months ago, when i just started relearning islam (i was atheist for 8 years, even though i was raised a secular muslim), i had the most terrifying dream of my life. To make it short, i was wearing a white abaya and jilab (i dont wear any headcovering) and was in a white realm, which quuckly turned into a dark like cave. In the distance i saw a figure. Even though my relatives warned me to run away ( i did not because i was searching for someone to run away with me). i went closer to the figure and the closer i went, the more it took my form. I dont know the order of events exactly anymore, so i try to place it correctly (bro it scared me so much i tried to forget it for weeks) When i was close to her, i realised it was me, but in a black like abaya with jilab. At first i could see my own face through the veil or there was no veil, then suddenly i did not see a face. It was a faceless me. Suddenly the veil came off and yes indeed there was no face. I began to sense danger and recited anything i knew from my childhood. The figure then pulled off my white hijab/veil and i just repeated anything i knew. All of a sudden, i felt that creature literally stand beside me and whisper in my left ear, i heard like a first normal than low voice and then multiple voices of all ranges whisper things i did not understand. The worst is yet to come tho: Then the creature stood very close to me (and maybe at this time her veil came off?) And then literally i saw the blank face take form of like a skull with just skin over it (no holes in eye sockets or open spaces, just like wrapping around it) and then she tried to choke or kill me, her mouth ripped open or something idk. Bro i really dont know that dream was, but i woke up with actual physical pain, scared me shitless. Idk whether this was a jinn.
The prophet has told us that angels are beautiful and the jin are very ugly and scary. They can shape shift to look enticing, but their real form will fill is with fear!

There is a story my grandmother told my mother. My grandma was walking with her friend and they both wanted to visit their other friend, let's call her person B. They areived at person B's house and knock. The door opened, and their friend was there, so they exchanged salams and person B just stops and walks in the house without inviting my grandma and her friend inside. This was weird as in Sudanese tradition, you're supposed to guide them inside them. You yourself follow behind as respect (I'm sure this is normal everywhere else as well). My grandma and her friend looked at each other and decided to get going and they said they had to go. Person B called out from inside the room saying, "oh why don't you stay?" They left and a few days later they met the husband of person B. It turns out that person B was out of the city the whole week. When the husband said this my grandmother started screaming. So yes, you can touch and hug a jinn of they let you.
When I was a kid 👧🏻… I was wondering why Allah the Almighty put the barrier between Human and Jinn ?! And we all are created by the Almighty to worship him and believe his instructions and advices just to be well, safe, and being in real human form that the Almighty created us. When I grew up as my understanding advanced in Islamic Knowledge and in personal experience, I knew that there is a reason for this and it is Allah the Almighty’s will and also it is a test for us to believe in his judgment and will. You ever think they are putting you through your paces to make you resilient to the fear? Not all jinn want to conume you, not all humans want to help you. Be vigilant but do not be afraid. When you become afraid picture the thing you fear and say aloud "hello fear my old freind, you came to get some love i see." When I water fasted and did meditation for 3 days after disconnecting with the world around me I saw an angel, he was huge, black, muscular, very strong and beautiful looking, he never interacted with me, just flew across while guiding me towards thee other realm. It's so wrong angels are shown as woman or small children, they're powerful beings and very intimidating. They only obey God and submit to Almighty alone, they have no free will unlike humans.

I grew up in Bangladesh, and there are many tall tales about jinns there.. but When I was a child, this actually happened to me: I was visiting my grandpa's village, which is up north near the border of India. We left from the village after visiting and spent a day over at another village where my GP's sister married into. No biggies, they hosted us because we'd host their family whenever they'd come to the Dhaka city. So that afternoon I was told by someone not to go to the place on the right of (facing it, left) the main house. They're village houses, so not big, and several around facing a central courtyard. The reason I was given was that my GP's sis' husband's sister, has a "pet" jinn! I was a kid and it's kinda spooky, but I knew the tall tales and kinda shrugged it off.. Later after sundown, it's all dark.. no electricity there. Whole village and us chilling in the courtyard with kerosene lamps and fireflies around... kinda enchanting to be fair! .. My own grandma, who is kinda stoic, walks up to me and says "look behind the bamboo shrubs, do you see a fire?".. and I just glimpsed for a moment and saw what looked like a glowing orb floating by!! I looked back at her and near said a big "WHAT??" in Bengali... and she shushed me with a concerned look on her face. I would've been 4-5 around the time, but thats something I can never forget.
Islamiclly, Jinn is more of a broad term. It means unseen. Us humans are referred to as Mankind. I dont know the term we call for living entities in the veil we can see, Jinn represent a different dimension within the universe so they have their own mankind their own aliens, animals, plant life, etc. There is no exact look for Jinn, just like loving beings in our own world/Universe are operated from species and all look different and function differently. Soe there are ugly and not so ugly Jinns. But a key factor in Islam is that human (Mankind) is the preferred species, God primaries and grants over. Which means we humans are better proportioned and balanced more in looks and anatomy, also we are more supremely intelligent than Jinn species and majority of species in our own realm.
No mankind is not preferred for intelligence. The jinn are superior to us in almost every way but one: We love. We have the kind of internal strength that no jinn can duplicate. Our strength of will, and or power to love both God and each other is much, much superior to theirs. That's what makes us special. Otherwise, both physically and mentally, the jinn are stronger. That's why shaitan refused to bow. He was right in his argument that he's so much more powerful, but lacked the wisdom required to see the quality in humans that made them better.

It's interesting how you mentioned that a child having fears of clowns. As a child I NEVER liked clowns and I still do to this day. The very grotesque makeup that they wear ALWAYS terrified me as a child. I could never understand what was so "comical and very funny" what looked so disgustingly ugly and completely behaved like a stupid deranged monkey. Sometimes you also see dragons with horns in china, wyvers in celtic similar looking in noridic. I think all start when 1 guy start having visions or dreams and experiencing seeing these things and spreading it to people. Now lets talk about horns why horns? Well hirns are somewhat associates with sensing and heat regulation in animals which are frequencies based. Don't paint everything with a big brush please and consider every Quranic verse and actually realize what it says and what it does not say and don't fill in too much. My long story short: I have seen a huge creature materialize in the living room ( I have not seen it materliaze but assume) but then walked in front of me in an empty house of an owner that was on vacation and walked toward the door although it was closed and were gone. and all this, after I started chapter 2 of Quran on UA-cam and walked back to the kitchen to start cleaning.
Djinn is an umbrella term for all creatures that are hidden from us. Once you start aligning with Allah, by applying the Quran. You will attract good ones even if you cannot see them. The bad ones look bad and good ones look good. In the spiritual realm the looks are based on the actual actions of the person whether djinn or human. What you see in your dreams are actually what they look like...but they will shapeshift even in that state so the energy is what counts. If you feel fear theyre bad.

Only the Prophets (alayhi salam) know what jinn look like in their TRUE forms. If one isn’t a prophet, then they cannot possibly know what the jinns look like in their TRUE form. Now if a jinn were to adopt the form of a person, animal, or mythological creature, then sure. People can see that.

Revert of Italian and mix origin here of about 20 years now (42 years old now). Since i first became muslim all the insomnia that i had was gone, and i was able to fall asleep in around 5-15 mins when i was tired normally. Bad dreams, which are caused by the satan and his minions, are now blocked with a few special prayers to the Almighty One Creator before sleeping, who sends angels to guard you, and putting oneself in a state of spiritual purity (called wudu in arabic, not to be confused with vudu 😆). Many years ago, while I was asleep, I had an eerie experience where I saw the shadow of a Jinn entering my room and disturbing me. I can still clearly remember the moment when the shadow of the Jinn dashed quickly across the wall and suddenly crushed my pillow, and I could physically feel it. It was likely caused by the reflection of the streetlight in my bedroom, which wasn't very dark at the time, allowing me to see the shadow moving swiftly across the wall.
Recently, I watched the film A Quiet Place: Day One, and I was surprised to see a similar alien creature depicted in the movie. It instantly reminded me of my past experience, and I could easily relate the creature's appearance to that of the Jinn. It seems Hollywood has a good idea of what Jinn might look like.

1. Imagination or subconcious mind is playing games with your mind
2. Drugs or psychadelics

I have seen one before as a kid. It was in my window, as it had appeared in several dreams before. It was a pure white face, with void eyes. The face didn't have shadows or reflect light despite being pale white, and didn't look like it was made of anything like plastic or flesh. All it did was look in at me, and that alone was unsettling. Its appearance wasn't inherently scary. But the fact it was there at all was.

My nightmare and probable encounter with a jinn story:
A couple of months ago, when i just started relearning islam (i was atheist for 8 years, even though i was raised a secular muslim), i had the most terrifying dream of my life.
To make it short, i was wearing a white abaya and jilab (i dont wear any headcovering) and was in a white realm, which quuckly turned into a dark like cave. In the distance i saw a figure. Even though my relatives warned me to run away ( i did not because i was searching for someone to run away with me).
i went closer to the figure and the closer i went, the more it took my form. I dont know the order of events exactly anymore, so i try to place it correctly (bro it scared me so much i tried to forget it for weeks)
When i was close to her, i realised it was me, but in a black like abaya with jilab. At first i could see my own face through the veil or there was no veil, then suddenly i did not see a face. It was a faceless me. Suddenly the veil came off and yes indeed there was no face. I began to sense danger and recited anything i knew from my childhood. The figure then pulled off my white hijab/veil and i just repeated anything i knew.
All of a sudden, i felt that creature literally stand beside me and whisper in my left ear, i heard like a first normal than low voice and then multiple voices of all ranges whisper things i did not understand. The worst is yet to come tho:
Then the creature stood very close to me (and maybe at this time her veil came off?) And then literally i saw the blank face take form of like a skull with just skin over it (no holes in eye sockets or open spaces, just like wrapping around it) and then she tried to choke or kill me, her mouth ripped open or something idk.

There is a story my grandmother told my mother. My grandma was walking with her friend and they both wanted to visit their other friend, let's call her person B. They areived at person B's house and knock. The door opened, and their friend was there, so they exchanged salams and person B just stops and walks in the house without inviting my grandma and her friend inside. This was weird as in Sudanese tradition, you're supposed to guide them inside them. You yourself follow behind as respect (I'm sure this is normal everywhere else as well). My grandma and her friend looked at each other and decided to get going and they said they had to go. Person B called out from inside the room saying, "oh why don't you stay?" They left and a few days later they met the husband of person B. It turns out that person B was out of the city the whole week. When the husband said this my grandmother started screaming. So yes, you can touch and hug a jinn of they let you.
We can see Jinn if they present themselves however, we can never see them in their true form.

When I was a kid 👧🏻… I was wondering why Allah the Almighty put the barrier between Human and Jinn ?!
And we all are created by the Almighty to worship him and believe his instructions and advices just to be well, safe, and being in real human form that the Almighty created us.
When I grew up as my understanding advanced in Islamic Knowledge and in personal experience, I knew that there is a reason for this and it is Allah the Almighty’s will and also it is a test for us to believe in his judgment and will.
Tests come in various form, and I am trying my best to be very careful and aware by applying what I learned from my Allah the Almighty.
Also in case of failure, the failure is also a test 😅 no way to escape 😂 just keep it up to the better results 🎉❤

When I water fasted and did meditation for 3 days after disconnecting with the world around me I saw an angel, he was huge, black, muscular, very strong and beautiful looking, he never interacted with me, just flew across while guiding me towards thee other realm.
It's so wrong angels are shown as woman or small children, they're powerful beings and very intimidating. They only obey God and submit to Almighty alone, they have no free will unlike humans.

I grew up in Bangladesh, and there are many tall tales about jinns there.. but When I was a child, this actually happened to me:
I was visiting my grandpa's village, which is up north near the border of India. We left from the village after visiting and spent a day over at another village where my GP's sister married into. No biggies, they hosted us because we'd host their family whenever they'd come to the Dhaka city.
So that afternoon I was told by someone not to go to the place on the right of (facing it, left) the main house. They're village houses, so not big, and several around facing a central courtyard. The reason I was given was that my GP's sis' husband's sister, has a "pet" jinn! I was a kid and it's kinda spooky, but I knew the tall tales and kinda shrugged it off..
Later after sundown, it's all dark.. no electricity there. Whole village and us chilling in the courtyard with kerosene lamps and fireflies around... kinda enchanting to be fair! ..
My own grandma, who is kinda stoic, walks up to me and says "look behind the bamboo shrubs, do you see a fire?".. and I just glimpsed for a moment and saw what looked like a glowing orb floating by!! I looked back at her and near said a big "WHAT??" in Bengali... and she shushed me with a concerned look on her face. I would've been 4-5 around the time, but thats something I can never forget.
Islamiclly, Jinn is more of a broad term. It means unseen. Us humans are referred to as Mankind. I dont know the term we call for living entities in the veil we can see, Jinn represent a different dimension within the universe so they have their own mankind their own aliens, animals, plant life, etc. There is no exact look for Jinn, just like loving beings in our own world/Universe are operated from species and all look different and function differently. Soe there are ugly and not so ugly Jinns. But a key factor in Islam is that human (Mankind) is the preferred species, God primaries and grants over. Which means we humans are better proportioned and balanced more in looks and anatomy, also we are more supremely intelligent than Jinn species and majority of species in our own realm.
No mankind is not preferred for intelligence. The jinn are superior to us in almost every way but one: We love. We have the kind of internal strength that no jinn can duplicate. Our strength of will, and or power to love both God and each other is much, much superior to theirs. That's what makes us special.
Otherwise, both physically and mentally, the jinn are stronger. That's why shaitan refused to bow. He was right in his argument that he's so much more powerful, but lacked the wisdom required to see the quality in humans that made them better.

It's interesting how you mentioned that a child having fears of clowns. As a child I NEVER liked clowns and I still do to this day. The very grotesque makeup that they wear ALWAYS terrified me as a child. I had a paranormal experience that lasted a few minutes each time over a 6 hour early morning period, I was very fit and healthy completely clean lifestyle wise, I woke up unusually cold when the weather was extremely hot, first thing I thought this is odd I hope this is not going to be like paranormal movie moment when someone feels suddenly cold, cut a long story short that's exactly what happened I saw 2 jinn one pretending to be a family member in solid form like you and me, about 2 after a boy I did not recognise not in solid form more cinema projection, exactly how the Quran describes them like a flame 🔥 but not orange much clearer and finally at end of experience I felt something scratching the base of my bed I got out of bed opened front door and a cat walked out looked at me took a stare and disappeared the cat was normal except it's eyes where not round and pretty they were slightly longer like a Evil pantomime character in a theatre sorry that's the best description I can give. Anyway I don't if it was 1 or 3 different entities because they dident appear at same time, hes completely correct they shape shift be careful i was lucky no scary form Jinns but still scary. Sometimes you also see dragons with horns in china, wyvers in celtic similar looking in noridic. I think all start when 1 guy start having visions or dreams and experiencing seeing these things and spreading it to people. Now lets talk about horns why horns? Well hirns are somewhat associates with sensing and heat regulation in animals which are frequencies based. You can also see horns/antennas in insects and even in plants micro parts for sensing light. So basically a connection point to my hypothesis. I am a Muslim. I love Quran and I love Allah. and I know exactly what Quran says about Jinn. But the verse targets Satan and his entourage. Don't paint everything with a big brush please and consider every Quranic verse and actually realize what it says and what it does not say and don't fill in too much. My long story short: I have seen a huge creature materialize in the living room ( I have not seen it materliaze but assume) but then walked in front of me in an empty house of an owner that was on vacation and walked toward the door although it was closed and were gone. and all this, after I started chapter 2 of Quran on UA-cam and walked back to the kitchen to start cleaning.

Djinn is an umbrella term for all creatures that are hidden from us. Once you start aligning with Allah, by applying the Quran. You will attract good ones even if you cannot see them. The bad ones look bad and good ones look good. In the spiritual realm the looks are based on the actual actions of the person whether djinn or human. What you see in your dreams are actually what they look like...but they will shapeshift even in that state so the energy is what counts. If you feel fear theyre bad.

It’s scarey how deeply involved some ppl are with these jins and they think of them and worship them as if they are gods. I was reading some Reddit posts on demonology and they would use these entities to make their wishes come true and of course they never talk about what they need to do to repay these entities for their favors. There are good reasons why Allah forbids idolatry, fortune telling etc, it’s not just because we should be conscious of only the existence of one God , it is also because these entities have manipulated us and caused so much trouble for mankind throughout their time on earth.

If Allah wants a thing it will happen and He has the ability to elevate whom He wants and degrade whom he wants. Only the Prophets (alayhi salam) know what jinn look like in their TRUE forms. If one isn’t a prophet, then they cannot possibly know what the jinns look like in their TRUE form. Now if a jinn were to adopt the form of a person, animal, or mythological creature, then sure. People can see that.
