COMING BACK TO SAY DGS1&2 LOCALIZATION HAS BEEN CONFIRMED
we srsly need a prelude to pursuit type track in future ace attorney games
Yeah I agree. It has a pretty good build up.
@@sadsamuraiman1855 Does anybody of the violin theme of DGS 1 or 2 That has a rhythm sounding like "LOO LOO LA LOO LOO LOO LA LOO LOO LA LOO LOO LOO LA LOO LOO LOO LOO LA?????

1:17:52 this is the most epic build up i've ever heard
Susato’s attorney themes are amazing.
partners tap dancing song is also amazing.
I watched a playthrough of the game and it's my favourite - hands down. The first DGS was really good too, but this easily takes the number one spot in ace attorney for me. The main characters are really given depth, the game stayed true to its obsession with Sherlock Holmes books and modeled the stories after those, it solved *all* the mysteries of the first game (also they tell us where 'von Karma' comes from) - which I applaud, they're not shying away from plot, it has a great sense of humour, beautiful, emotion-packed music (listen to the Grand Return, that's all the proof I need), remains wacky as heck etc. etc. I actually sat on the edge of my seat the entire last case.
It actually feels like this is the game they've put the most dedication and thought into. So it's really sad that it'll probably never get an official translation and a lot of people won't see this masterpiece 'cause they don't want to wait or just read subtitles.
DGS1 is already translated thanks to the Scarlet Study team :p And the 2 is currently being translated, I hope they will finish soon, I'm so impatient to continue the story :D
The DGS Duology is criminally underrated. I consider it far, FAR superior to the Phoenix Wright Trilogy.
@@alex10101997 Sure are taking their time. Not that I'm mad, but man has it been forever since their last update.
There's rumors of an official translation for switch - more people will find out how amazing this game is! :)

Holy heck this is so eargasmic, my ears are in ecstasy. I need the fan-translation (or official English port) of this game to come out as soon as humanly possible. Sounds like the composers outdid themselves. Can’t wait to hear these in context.
Trust me they sound even greater in context
YOU CALLED??!!
Wish granted. July 27. take it or leave it. No other offers accepted :)
I just realized something incredible about this soundtrack. Spoilers, obviously.
.
.
42:09 - this part of Kazuma's prosecutor theme is exactly the same as the opening to 1:22:21, when (SPOILERS) the truth of Hart's crimes fully comes to light. That is just...phenomenal.
Might wanna add an extra line to that I can still see the first part of it.
@@fawful9992 done, thanks
Actually, I think this melody comes from the professor theme.
@@sangjulee5914 the Van Zieks reminiscence also uses it
This game's music really nails its scene's atmosphere and characters' personality
DGS2 has the best music of any AA game, and I feel like a game with music this good practically begs for a Top 5 list. So (MINOR SPOILER WARNING!) here we go:
5) Prelude to a Resolution: This theme has a really open-world feel to it. It seems to replace class with style, and it's not a bad replacement.
4) William Petenshy~ Back Alley Shakespeare: The game has done really well on the character themes. This theme takes our Pseudo-Shakespeare and makes him a memorable character.
3) Prelude to a Girl Defense Attorney:
Similar in its feel to our no.5, but better. I like its pacing more compared to the Objection theme as well.
2) Prelude to Pursuit: The next list I make shouldn't have any preludes, that's kind of cheating. This theme has parts of The Great Turnabout, and it really works in a prelude. An overall amazing theme, and it would be a great pursuit theme, but it does its job well as a prelude.
Honorable mentions:
Partners~ The Game is Afoot!
Mamemori Heita~ Lone Reporter, Mamemorism
Naruhudou Ryutarou~ Objection!
All of these are really good, but fall just short of a Top 5 spot. And now for our no.1 spot, which is so kindly set up by our No.2.
1) Great Pursuit~ The Resolve of Naruhudou Ryuunosuke: The best theme in any AA game ever. And it should be, for a theme that only plays ONCE in the entire game (Cornered 2004, anyone?). But that's part of the reason it's so good: you'll only hear this once throughout the game, and the circumstances surrounding it are simply phenomenal. As a theme this also symbolizes Naruhudou's growth as a lawyer: from a rookie struggling in a foreign land to an exceptional defense attorney.
and finally the west gets to hear what we been crazy over for the last 3 years.
Nope, №1 Should obviously be Partners ~ The Game is Afoot.
This OST has some great character themes, among other things. (spoilers)
05:19 This Objection! theme exposes Susato as a brilliant defence attorney in her own right - I think she should have had more of her own cases.
09:44 What a great theme for a fake Shakespeare. The accidentals are suspicious, but the slow staccato almost makes me pity him. "Petenshy" sounds like "pretentious" in English, but in Japanese his name means "charlatan".
21:38 The organ is Madam Rozaic's passion for the morbid, and the other instruments cast the eeriness of the museum.
27:08 Just the opening 5 notes of Courtney Sithe's theme are enough for you to know she's a morbid character, forgetting even the fact that her skin is grey. The conductor Sir Thomas Beecham once described the harpsichord as the sound of "two skeletons copulating on a tin roof in a thunderstorm"; maybe that's why composer Kitagawa Yasumasa decided to include the harpsichord in coroner Sithe's theme.
29:47 Enoch Drebber - did he make bionic body parts so that he could detach himself from what he saw in the graveyard? The majority of his theme is punchy and robotic, but there's a brief interlude at 30:32 where it feels like he's being reminded of what he saw.
34:23 The three hits of the triangle at the start are enough to put goosebumps on the back of my neck. The strings spell absolute darkness. The slow tempo represents the impending doom the aristocracy would feel at the mention of the Professor. The static note from 35:08 is the Professor's motionless victim - after his throat has been ripped out by the Hound of the Baskervilles. At 35:27 the Professor reels in his satisfaction, but with the chord change at 35:53 he begins to question whether what he has done was right. The background string drone from 36:08 is the acceptance that he's taken someone's life. At 36:08 he moves on to his next victim.
40:56 What's that break at 41:33? Is it Asōgi hesitating and wondering if van Zieks really is the Reaper?
46:51 The mostly atonal harpsichord-viola combo feels empty, like the last ten years of Mittlemont/Gossip's life. The respected prison guard who became a vagrant peddler on Fresno Street after being framed for helping an escapee...what a tragic story.
49:04 It's creepy how Mittlemont manages to (almost) keep his composure while recanting a dark memory he thought he'd forgotten.
53:51 What a brilliant twist! Not only for Holmes' partner to be still alive, but for him to be Mikotoba Yūjin! Until now, Holmes is painted as something of a Great Detective, but also a bit of a plonker - however, this theme recasts his position in the game's story, and his relation to the other characters. The section from 54:40 - 54:53 resembles the music in the TV series Sherlock - there's something very Holmes-esque about the ornamentation.
1:00:55 DGS1 and DGS2 are really just one insanely long game (about 45 hours in total excluding the time you take to make the deductions!?), and this theme finally marks the beginning of the end. It's also like the second theme of Hart Vortex (that name tho?!).
1:04:07 This plays when Barok van Zieks finds out that his late brother Klimt was the Professor. 1:05:27 is Barok's own character theme, played incredibly slowly. It's hard to write a piece of music that makes you empathise with an aristocrat, but this one has pulled it off.
1:07:46 You can't quite believe that Mikotoba is reuniting with Holmes after 10 years to deduce that his close friend murdered an inspector of Scotland Yard. The triplet rhythm is perfect. The cello solo at 1:09:04 is fantastic.
1:11:00 This is essentially Mikotoba/Holmes' Pursuit theme. Is it possible to feel nostalgic for something you've never experienced? That's how I felt when Mikotoba and Holmes reunited for this final Great Deduction.
1:25:07 Unlike in all other Ace Attorney games, this Victory theme only plays at the end of the whole game, rather than at the end of each case. The main violin melody is played quietly; it's not so much of a triumph over the enemy, but more of a closure to the series. The rhythm changes near the end at 1:27:17; it's really over.
1:27:43 I thought the story of Ryūnosuke and Susato was well done. Does anyone else think that they're actually both ancestors of Phoenix Wright?
1:34:12 The end credits theme contains music from the first game - to remind you that it's not just the game, it's the series that's over.
>does anybody else think they're actually ancestors of Phoenix Wright?
So, who's gonna break the news to 'em?
Lasagna Kob not me
whoa this is a really great analysis! i didn't think it was possible for me to appreciate this ost any more than i already did, but there we go. a personal favourite track of mine is 1:14:19 because [spoilers]
it not only makes me think of the murderer but also the victim, and where the body was hidden that whole time...kind of disturbing.
@@solarwreathe3789 Interesting! Now that you mention it, I feel the slow, drawn-out pace of the music makes it feel like the victim's body is gradually decaying, out of sight...a chilling thought, quite literally.
I absolutely adore this comment thank you
56:18 - I thought an ad popped up since I wasn't on YT at the time
For all that is sacred, BUY THIS GAME poeple, otherwise this series will die forever. It happened to series way well known by capcom like Mega Man X for exemple, and it CAN happen to this as well, hell it sorta of happened in a way since the og GBA games were all it was planned for it. 1:17:52
Was blown away by the 34:23 theme and some of these sounds. Although I couldnt 'help but feel they had to suddenly use the unused themes so suddenly toward the end, and before that they were re-using the same ones to the point where it was repetitive. Especially with the story and the deduction, it was a pretty epic story. I wouldn't call it a game, more like a graphic novel where you get to figure out some riddles along the way; some of them are ridiculous but a lot of them you can piece together or know what is happening beforehand.
That's why this genre is called "visual novel" :)
