Drebber set the bomb for a long enough time that normal people, upon finding it, would be able to run away, allowing Drebber time to exit the safe, disarm the bomb, and get away. Holmes apparently figured all that out in about 5 seconds and intentionally faffed about to screw over Drebbers plan by forcing them to disarm the bomb instead of running from it

I love that they added this. It makes investigations a lot more fun, I always look forward to these
They give me a headache. Especially the movement of the camera angles. And they're so long too.

Dance of Deduction is by far my favorite out of the AA gimmick mechanics. It's just so fun to watch and execute and the music is cool as hell. If there's ever a Sholmes spin-off I really hope it returns.
This video is more than 50% Partners by length, and honestly? It deserves it.

Just got the Platinum on the collection - these games are absolute masterpieces and the OST is phenomenal. This is my favourite track and I listen to it a lot, thank you for the medley!

He was called Sherlock Holmes in the original Japanese version, but one of the compromises that had to be made to bring the game to English-speaking audiences was that he had to be called something else to avoid getting in trouble with the Doyle estate. Many fans consider his true name to be Sherlock Holmes, and some mods exist to put his and Iris Watson’s true names into the English version.

... So he changed the name of Sherlock Holmes to Herlock Sholmes and Watson's to Wilson's. And the funniest part is that both of these 'parodies' were in the public domain by the time this game was released internationally.

Fuck it. Should I just cave in and start The Great Ace Attorney instead of finishing Investigations 1? I've been needing the excitement of great writing. Update: Finished Investigations 1 and I will say, it's been worth it. On Investigations 2 now and I promise, it has significance. Edgey don't lie and it shows lol.

I already downloaded the file using the link last year (and the link was functioning just fine) and then I decide to find it in my google drive just now as I haven’t listened to it in a while (the one with the bonus tap dancing).
But I can’t seem to find it anywhere and ended up having to search this particular video just so I could find the link. And just like you, I can’t click it either.
oh my god. as good as the music is i really hated these segments. i would just save and play the game later whenever they came up
Maybe the strangest opinion I've ever seen, TBH. The Dance of Deductions are by far the best parts of the duology, both visually & gameplay wise they're pretty much flawless. And if I ever messed up it always felt like my own fault.
@@leong4388 You are right that they are really oustanding visually, but for me they felt too long, and it was essentially just looking for stuff rather than using your brain to answer puzzles.
@@residays I always found them too short, if anything.... and isn't "it was just looking for stuff" like complaining that the cross-examinations "just involves comparing text"? It's observational abduction, which is not only something that involves using your brain, it's also very much as Sherlock Holmes-y a gameplay gimmick as you can get. IDK what the complaint even is, TBH.
@@leong4388 I fully agree! The Great Deductions are absolutely perfect blends of humour, epicness and investigative prowess. They had me both crying laughing and insanely hyped, they are some of the best moments in the entire AA series, especially the last few Deductions!
