And I tried to relieve some better times
Back in the day I did this on a laptop in a car, when driving from Lošinj Croatia to Ljubljana Slovenia, sadly I never recorded it, and can never try to do that again, since they ruiened it all with digital television
But here in Sirilanka, I can still do that, although my TV did a poor job since it cuts the picture when it looses sync, sadly this is the best portable TV that I can get in this day and age
I wish I could fix my TV, but chinese dont want to give me source code for its software
If anyone maybe knows what TV stations I receive, please tell me, because FMlist sadly cannot help me on this one
They were on Channels (E) 7, 40, 46)
Hope you like it
Thanks for doing radio &TV bandscans in Sri Lanka 😊
Thanks for having Analog television (for now.......)
If only more countries would still do that
this is exactly what i wanted to have recommended
You got this recomended, ok, I hoped you enjoyed it :)
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing. Over the years, I have also received analogue TV signals in trains here in Australia and even over in New Zealand, though I had no way of recording it on video in most situations. I have also tried receiving digital TV on a train, but so far, I have not had any success with that at all.
Glad you liked it
Yea when this was common people just didnt record this stuff or had no ability to do so (there was a video walkam by sony though which could record on vhs)
Now when we are so modern and can record we sadly cannot enjoy moments like this anymore or if we can its very expensive and very rare :( )
Say what you want but I would much rather have analog tv even if picture is not so great
People care more about content and convinience then the picture, because if they cared for amazing wieving expirience with crystal clear sound and picture they would never use their phone to watch videos on :)
And no people dont have enough, now they also want to digitize the radio
Sometimes I wonder if people that develop this digital systems even know what negative consequences their system might bring
I completely agree. Analogue is far superior to digital, especially in how far the signals can be received. When digital TV first started here in Australia, I tried to warn people of the problems by phoning into a chat show on a local radio station. As soon as I started explaining the digital downfalls, I was promptly cut off. Here in Australia, they started off with MPEG 2, then after selling a large amount of TV receivers, they decided to convert to MPEG4, which made many of the earlier digital TV's useless overnight. If analogue radio is all removed for digital, it will mean all the car radios will even become useless, along with every other radio. I am totally amazed how all countries are agreeing on this digital conversion, when many of them do not agree on anything else.
Excellent reception👌 It's impressive!👍 Greetings from Poland 👋

I should get a portable TV so I can try that next time I go travelling (hopefully before the analog shutdown next year 😔)
Yea, analog tv is very fun
Wait, where will analog tv shutdown next year? Here at Sri lanka?
This is Leadstar D7 (7 inch in size), made by konsta
@@DXingSlovenija Analog shutdown here in Chile, very likely to start in April of 2024, but someone said it could be going on for another 6 years, possibly until 2030, but right now it's somewhat in a state of limbo.. 🫤
@@forind934 oh dammit, I guess going to Chile is off my list now... (no offense please, its just, I like to go where analog tv is you know, this means a lot to me)
Tell me what do u prefer, analog or digital?
What about normal people? If u dont know, ask them as soon as pobble so they can compare?
You know, it seams everyone likes to push digital down our throats, even if at the end we care more for reality then the 4k picture digital offers, Just look people will use converter boxes and watch digital on their standard CRT, which cannot even display extra benefits digital offers......
@@DXingSlovenija I personally prefer analog, mainly because it can be better for rural areas (many of the remaining analog users are in these, but there's still some in the urban areas), and is useful in an emergency.
On a side note, I have some bias towards it, considering I grew up with analog TV. I just like how nostalgic it appears and sounds.
Channels shown in this video;
1:47 - Sirasa TV
12:13 - Hiru TV
16:55 - Swarnavahini
27:13 - Nethra TV
Wow, thanks :)
TV stations audio sounds like a overmodulated.
Signal seems quite unstable in all the situations, is it because they use low power transmitter? Or I am not used to analogue TV
I am not sure where are the transmitters, but yea, the signal is not stable (and tv makes it even worse, when it cuts like that)
I will upload a better bandscan, in the meantime you can watch the radio part of the ride if u want
Doppler effect
Because the train is moving. That’s why the signal on the television is cutting in and cutting out. That’s the problem
Intéressant, but what say you the people around?
Nothing, at least I didnt notice anything :)
Nobody heard anything, even I didnt, because I had audio direcly connected to my phone through trrs adapter
Even if they would talk behind my back (which they probably do, since I am different color), they would do that in Sinhala (pronounced Singali (I think), forgot how to write it in their letters), and I dont understand that :)
Did you use headphones. Because there are people around you and they might not like the noise of the television
I dont have an audio splitter so I difnt hear anything when capturing direct audio, only saw picture
Maybe you can make mw scan?
Will try but its very hard since every hotel Ive been to produces qrm
So I will have to get the courage to venture outside in the middle of the night
