About Wesker's interest in Rebecca, have you ever thought that he saw himself in her and could be testing her to see if she would be "superior"? Like Wesker, Rebecca was an early genius, graduated in biochemistry at the age of 18. The whole story of Wesker recruiting her for STARS may have to do with him wanting to see how she would perform on the field based on that.
I think a lot of people jump to relationship hinting in so many characters when evidence is limited. It's done to every char in every show/game/cartoon, etc. I think people just like the idea of fantasizing over fact sometimes. The creator can literally go "No, they aren't and never will be--" and people will still disagree. Lol.

@@melissazietz1241 honestly I feel like we deserve that story but would you kind of want to ruin the ambiguousness of the backstory cuz wouldn't nothing be a really good way to encourage you to imagine much like you want to see the monster in a horror movie but when you see the monster it's a little less scary so I kind of feel like it's the same thing with the backstory for Wesker it's much more intriguing and mysterious to imagine what the backstory is but once you get the backstory it's kind of takes the fun away from it

But Capcom could never do it because they've made the whole lore of Resident Evil so convoluted that Hansel and Gretel couldn't find their way back to where they started from. Wesker died without even knowing his real name, and that's kind of sad.

THEORY!: Movie Wesker was originally supposed to die in a different way, but the director/whoever decided that Dr. Isaacs should become the main villain, and instead of creatively writing around it, just swapped the character names around in the script. Isaacs suspiciously has cyber implants that give him Wesker-like reflexes and powers, and Wesker is suddenly killed by something that would kill a normal human. So I'm guessing these script changes happened, likely without much thought, way late into production.

I always found that the RE:CV & RE5 Wesker was similarly violent. The Wesker in all of the other games like the Umbrella Chronicles & RE4 Wesker is much more cool and collective. A more level headed frenemy for players. I hope there was 2 Alberts and our badass in the suit is working with the firearms in Blue Umbrella.
I will says good video many facts were accurate however Wesker was still apart of umbrella (didn't officially leave umbrella until the events of RE1 basically in 98 Jake had been born before then) and doing military work when he fathered Jake. a son he would never know about because Jake's mother broke up with Wesker and returned to her home country to give birth to Jake never telling Wesker about him and only telling Jake that his father never wanted to be around. Also it would have been cool to note that Umbrella Corp was declared Cannon which with the Wesker voice could very well mean that Wesker is alive and well. Not to mention the hidden voice file with in that game.

He pretty radically went from "cool collected villain always one step ahead" to "crazy bad guy with a god complex who wants to rule the world" in the blink of an eye . That's why he's so compelling as a villain . He is smart , patient , and almost always outsmarts the good guys . The heroes always win in Resident Evil , but Wesker never really lost either until Resident Evil 5 , which never discredited him as a bad guy . Plus , if Chris and the gang were to believe he was dead , he would have all the liberty in the world to put his own true agenda forward . It'd be far-fetched but also awesome if we were to learn that he was somehow involved in the BSAA's shady business of developing Bioweapons as soldiers and that Chris has been playing right in his hand all along .

Weskers gun actually does suppress the noise of the gun. If you play as him on the castle stage using the gun while a garrador is present it won't trigger him to attack you like any other gun.
Wesker's upbrining is almost exactly like MasterChief's from Halo, when you think about it. In addition to both characters posssing the sickest gear and the best voice actors, he's also one of the most badass characters of the gaming world. Would be awesome if Capcom decided to make a spin-off game solely about his evolution to the strongest Tyrant there ever was.
I had heard about the phone call that was set 2 years after RE5 after watching a podcast with DC Doughs. I hope that they brought Wesker back he was one of the best villians that RE had. They could say that he created clones of himself in case the original died. the phone call could be hinting that or that he fake his death and a clone died in RE5 instead of him. They never explore it through. Maybe it will come up in future games. Re9 Re10 etc

Wesker is such a badass, but mostly goofy character, I love him a lot, he’s great. I have a detail I noticed in RE 5. When playing any Multiplayer game and you're playing Wesker he will have his glasses on, however any damage he takes will fling his glasses off for the rest of the match.

Well the monster he sent to kill them was basically just a prototype version of the Eliminators (the monkeys from 0). The beta went through a few different phases. Marcus himself wasn't originally just going to be the Queen Leech, his consciousness was spread out throughout the leeches which could form together to make larger forms that he could act through. The final boss fight had various concepts drawn of it by Satoshi Nakai with the leeches in one of the concepts for the final part of the fight forming a giant primitive version of his face to attack with. There's also concept art of him partly human partly leech absorbing a Zombie and concepts for the Proto Tyrant (which was originally going to be female).
As far as I remember, Jake is never even brought up as having any residual effects of Progenitor/Project W strain, which annoyed me greatly. To be fair, I found the whole idea dumb and don't really consider it canon (along with the rest of RE6) because of how little sense it made to me, plus that he always seemed to be written as asexual to me and some other RE fans, especially with how he acted with Excella. How could he even have sexual relations with someone without killing them because of his infection? They never state anything about how transferable the Project W strain is, but being that it's an RNA virus it should be extremely contagious. It just didn't make any sense and seemed like a really bad RE6 write-in to "keep Wesker in the story" using a random "son". That being said, I find it really awkward how much Jake looks like Krauser o-o That would be an interesting twist.
I always kinda felt like leon couldnt meet wesker because he'd actually stand a chance in a fist fight against him due to his skill. But saying that makes me wanna see it even more rather than watching wesker wreck chris

I will says good video many facts were accurate however Wesker was still apart of umbrella (didn't officially leave umbrella until the events of RE1 basically in 98 Jake had been born before then) and doing military work when he fathered Jake. a son he would never know about because Jake's mother broke up with Wesker and returned to her home country to give birth to Jake never telling Wesker about him and only telling Jake that his father never wanted to be around. Also it would have been cool to note that Umbrella Corp was declared Cannon which with the Wesker voice could very well mean that Wesker is alive and well. Not to mention the hidden voice file with in that game.
The fact that wesker survived two rockets and a fucking active volcano is impressive

He pretty radically went from "cool collected villain always one step ahead" to "crazy bad guy with a god complex who wants to rule the world" in the blink of an eye .
That's why he's so compelling as a villain . He is smart , patient , and almost always outsmarts the good guys . The heroes always win in Resident Evil , but Wesker never really lost either until Resident Evil 5 , which never discredited him as a bad guy .
Plus , if Chris and the gang were to believe he was dead , he would have all the liberty in the world to put his own true agenda forward .
It'd be far-fetched but also awesome if we were to learn that he was somehow involved in the BSAA's shady business of developing Bioweapons as soldiers and that Chris has been playing right in his hand all along .

If Wesker ever returns in a future game/project, DC Douglas NEEDS to be the VA. He has the perfect voice for the character.

Albert Wesker has my personal favourite gun in video game history. His samurai edge is so damn cool.
Add the fact about how in 2020, D.C. Douglas did a series of Twitch streams with let's player Proton Jon of RE5, offering rare insight into the development process for the game, his audition for being Wesker's motion-capture model for RE5, and other interesting things.

Weskers gun actually does suppress the noise of the gun. If you play as him on the castle stage using the gun while a garrador is present it won't trigger him to attack you like any other gun.

Wesker's upbrining is almost exactly like MasterChief's from Halo, when you think about it. In addition to both characters posssing the sickest gear and the best voice actors, he's also one of the most badass characters of the gaming world. Would be awesome if Capcom decided to make a spin-off game solely about his evolution to the strongest Tyrant there ever was.
I had heard about the phone call that was set 2 years after RE5 after watching a podcast with DC Doughs. I hope that they brought Wesker back he was one of the best villians that RE had. They could say that he created clones of himself in case the original died. the phone call could be hinting that or that he fake his death and a clone died in RE5 instead of him. They never explore it through. Maybe it will come up in future games. Re9 Re10 etc

I have a detail I noticed in RE 5. When playing any Multiplayer game and you're playing Wesker he will have his glasses on, however any damage he takes will fling his glasses off for the rest of the match.

I remember in RE5's Mercenaries mode, he's the only character to not shout their partner's name if they die. I think he says something else, but you can barely hear it.
I REALLY wish that Albert Wesker got his own game with him as the protagonist. Or a RE 5 remake with a standalone mode with all his powers. But a man can dream.

Well the monster he sent to kill them was basically just a prototype version of the Eliminators (the monkeys from 0). The beta went through a few different phases. Marcus himself wasn't originally just going to be the Queen Leech, his consciousness was spread out throughout the leeches which could form together to make larger forms that he could act through. The final boss fight had various concepts drawn of it by Satoshi Nakai with the leeches in one of the concepts for the final part of the fight forming a giant primitive version of his face to attack with. There's also concept art of him partly human partly leech absorbing a Zombie and concepts for the Proto Tyrant (which was originally going to be female).

Love RE5 Wesker. That's the only game I played because of how cool he was in that game. And the voice actor was the best there.

As far as I remember, Jake is never even brought up as having any residual effects of Progenitor/Project W strain, which annoyed me greatly. To be fair, I found the whole idea dumb and don't really consider it canon (along with the rest of RE6) because of how little sense it made to me, plus that he always seemed to be written as asexual to me and some other RE fans, especially with how he acted with Excella. How could he even have sexual relations with someone without killing them because of his infection? They never state anything about how transferable the Project W strain is, but being that it's an RNA virus it should be extremely contagious. It just didn't make any sense and seemed like a really bad RE6 write-in to "keep Wesker in the story" using a random "son". That being said, I find it really awkward how much Jake looks like Krauser o-o That would be an interesting twist.
