I always found his drawl to be off putting with this actor. It sounds a bit over the top which may work for the ridiculous direction 5 went in but in the first game it kind of betrays his type of character.

They only managed to lazily add "Wesker mode" in Re0 remaster.. And unfortunately Re0 is the worst game they could've featured for Wesker to be playable. A battle mode on Re1 remaster with Wesker would've been much better, let alone any other game in the series could've received a Wesker playthrough/mode. For our sake, an actual Wesker chapter.. But as it's already well known, Capcom is extremely lazy, and that was all we got.
Wesker turned out to ultimately be the most successful project by umbrella. He became an enhanced super human, power, speed, he hits so hard with crushing force his spear hand technique goes right through Ozwell E. Spencer, which he could easily do to any bio weapon or person. He’s in control and not under the influence of the virus or any damaging aspects. He’s the closest thing to perfection. He could probably kill the nemesis or any tyrant with his bare hands.
"Chris.... Jill... I hope you survive long enough for us to have our tear filled reunion." The way he said it and then had that evil laugh was just beautiful to listen to. He wants revenge on those two because he's a narcissist and they got the better of him in RE1. That laughter also displayed the loss of his humanity, he became something else. Wesker is one of the best video game antagonists of all time. Man I love the dialogue in these Chronicle games, they should have added these dialogues on the original versions of these resident evil games.

He also blames Chris for activating the self destruct system which alerted Umbrella, and caused them to restrict Wesker's access to Umbrella's main computer where Wesker was intending to steal valuable info to give to his new organization. Those things culminated in his hatred and grudge towards Chris.

The fact that he wasn't able to kill Chris at that moment probably irritated him to no end. He does growl towards the end of the fight when he ends up being burned. And Chris escapes. He looks furious. I'm sure that only heightened his rage. Even with all his power, he still couldn't eliminate his rival. Which is mostly because of his cocky attitude.
I wonder what would've been Wesker's reaction if a STARS survivor popped out and was like "Captain Wesker, you're alive! We gotta get outta here!" Probably would've just shot them and moved on, but it's fun to think about.

I always thought it was badass that Wesker was the only character who reanimated but didn't turn into a mindless creature, he truly was Spencer's deadliest creation, far more of a threat than any of Umbrella's other BOWS, the only thing more dangerous than a monster that has lost all it's senses is a monster that has retained all of them
You have to give Umbrella credit for being the only people in the media capable of setting a number of bombs to go off in one controlled efficient blast instead of a big, drawn out series of explosions.

Not gonna lie, Umbrella Chronicles and Darkside Chronicles were pretty fun games. And it was not a lazy job either. You have to keep in mind that they recreated all these Areas for RE1 and RE0 in 3D from the pre-rendered backgrounds they used in the mainline titles. Probably one of the better on-rails shooters i have played.
Finally. Someone who knows how uroboros is spelt. Most of time I saw people spell it like "ouroborous" "ouroboros". I mean, it's in the subtitles. Did they not turn on the subtitles when playing

The opening lines haunt me. I had a "near"-death experience in 2019, december 13th. I say "near"-death experience, because you otherwise wouldnt believe me. Think about it: I died, and re-awoke with a empty mind, no emotion, the death bed full with piss, barely any heart beat and breath -despite that, i still possessed intelect. Anyway, i digressed -the point is: i died, and woke up to 2020 with its virus. I dont know what is true, but it was like that man spoke directly to me. For more reason than one.
He improved upon his voice from this to 5, DC Douglas did and it's a damn shame 5 was Weskers last due to the fact that DC Douglas was just getting in the groove of playing Wesker and did a damn great job at it aswell.

Albert's story is over. As much as that hurts to say. Soon enough, Chris's story will end too. And the rest will go as well. Only time will tell how each situation will go.
If I didn't think Capcom would screw him over even more than they did in 5, I'd scream from the rooftops to bring him back. Amazing how this could have been his own game, while he's the one that finishes off Lisa Trevor canonically, kinda reminds me of RE4's separate ways with Ada, where she's the one the finish off Krauser and get Leon the special bazooka.
I kind of find it sad that this is the only time you could technically play as Albert Wesker even though they say in Resident Evil Zero if you happen to beat the game at a certain time within the game you can technically play as him but it's more of a mod and I'm not going to lie also say this it's too bad that the Red Queen never returned back to the storyline because I will say that would have been an interesting story line because I didn't like how the Umbrella Chronicles introduced all these other characters that just popped out of nowhere and then they never showed up again in the residual storylines but hopefully we might get some of these characters as capcon continues to make more of the Resident Evil games neither when they make number 8 or they do another remake besides number three so pumped up for number three though can't wait
Know what would be really cool? If they remade the first RE in the same vein as they are with 2 and 3. They could bring DC Douglas back to voice Wesker, back when he was posing as one of the good guys. Hell, Douglas has also done live acting, so he could also do mocap for Wesker!
For some reason I played this before I ever actually played RE1 or Remake, and I'm kinda glad I did. The non-canon endings of the original games are a bit confusing to me, but playing this helped me remember what is actually supposed to happen
Yeah there are like 8 ends in REmake but none of them are canon. Anyway the end of this Game isnt Canon because Barry is not there, but I think this is the nearest to a canon version.
This is really cool, I've always wanted to see how Wesker escaped in RE1 but never played Umbrella Chronicles. Also not gonna lie, those Crimson Heads running right at the camera in first-person view legit scare me, lmao. It'd have been pretty cool if Capcom included a new spin on this for the remaster of REmake, and it probably would've have been quick and easy to put together (reskin Chris with Wesker and have him basically run through the game in reverse, maybe even give him his own weapons and powers like RE0's Wesker Mode, and if they didn't want to bring in a VA for Wesker they could just reuse these lines, or even just make him silent). Would have been much more fitting for REmake than the Wesker Mode for RE0 was, as much goofy fun as that was. Oh well.

Wesker being alive and ending Lisa Trevor's suffering should have been a hidden scene in re remake. Like maybe if you beat both Chris and Jill's story you get the scene after the credits. Either way these crucial bits of information should have been included.

Black yeah if you look closely whenever you watch an animated series or animated anything really, there always presets that get reused a lot. And in various franchises, there’s always that one thing that gets reused throughout the industry. Like that one traditional scream sound effect In movies, the Wilhelm scream
a lot of assets from RE4 were used. including some sound effects. Also assets from Outbreak as well for the Raccoon city sections.

Albert's story is over. As much as that hurts to say. Soon enough, Chris's story will end too. And the rest will go as well. Only time will tell how each situation will go.

If I didn't think Capcom would screw him over even more than they did in 5, I'd scream from the rooftops to bring him back. I kind of find it sad that this is the only time you could technically play as Albert Wesker even though they say in Resident Evil Zero if you happen to beat the game at a certain time within the game you can technically play as him but it's more of a mod and I'm not going to lie also say this it's too bad that the Red Queen never returned back to the storyline because I will say that would have been an interesting story line because I didn't like how the Umbrella Chronicles introduced all these other characters that just popped out of nowhere and then they never showed up again in the residual storylines but hopefully we might get some of these characters as capcon continues to make more of the Resident Evil games neither when they make number 8 or they do another remake besides number three so pumped up for number three though can't wait

Know what would be really cool? If they remade the first RE in the same vein as they are with 2 and 3. They could bring DC Douglas back to voice Wesker, back when he was posing as one of the good guys. Hell, Douglas has also done live acting, so he could also do mocap for Wesker!
For some reason I played this before I ever actually played RE1 or Remake, and I'm kinda glad I did. The non-canon endings of the original games are a bit confusing to me, but playing this helped me remember what is actually supposed to happen
Yeah there are like 8 ends in REmake but none of them are canon.
Anyway the end of this Game isnt Canon because Barry is not there, but I think this is the nearest to a canon version.
This is really cool, I've always wanted to see how Wesker escaped in RE1 but never played Umbrella Chronicles. Also not gonna lie, those Crimson Heads running right at the camera in first-person view legit scare me, lmao.
It'd have been pretty cool if Capcom included a new spin on this for the remaster of REmake, and it probably would've have been quick and easy to put together (reskin Chris with Wesker and have him basically run through the game in reverse, maybe even give him his own weapons and powers like RE0's Wesker Mode, and if they didn't want to bring in a VA for Wesker they could just reuse these lines, or even just make him silent). Would have been much more fitting for REmake than the Wesker Mode for RE0 was, as much goofy fun as that was. Oh well.

I became a fan of Wesker, this bastard guy due to his awesome action as a virus mutant via watching this video. I didn't know his survivor action like this from Umbrella's secret facilities. It was a nice action & nice information for Albert Wesker, he was not a simple villain in the movie.
