I love the sound, mine is new.Pre amp tubes going out,so I took the back off and the speakers are badly rusted and corroded,I'm replacing.Putting a premium Celestion, speaker, only 1 because $200.So $1000 invested in amp, premium tubes,1 speaker.
I don't understand why you don't have put in this series all the connexions you have put in the studio L5H they are so usable and user-friendly, like just the aux in and the other output to be able to jam with a backing track or to grab with our daw. It could be wonderfull to have the same wonderfull head or amp in 10,15 or 20 w. Yes i know you have the little Studio IRT with15 waft but for me i prefer the sound of the lionheart i'm not a hard metal player at all.
Great sounds from the Cub and wonderful playing! I have a 1x12 Cub12, which definitely sounds more than good enough for its price, but can't really manage to get such crisp tones from it even with the tone control wide open. Wonder if that's because of my Epi G400, which has darker sounding pups (probably gonna change them for the Alnico Pros), or the original Celestion Rocket. Don't know how it differs from the HH. Any ideas?
The review takes an epic time to actually even allow us to hear ... are you kidding? And the volume of the reviewers voice is LOUD compared to a valve amp ? Cmon...
I have a Laney VC15 which is way smaller, same wattage and just a 10 inch speaker. That amp IS loud enough to play with a drummer . So I am quite surprised this amp is not as you state?
I wouldn't expect a 12 watt Laney to keep enough clean headroom to rise over a drummer. No 12 watter could really. That would require a more watts or a high headroom amp like a Hiwatt. But a 12 watt Laney can get really loud enough to hang with a drummer, distorted. If not, you amp has a bad tube or something wrong
@@jumpboy29 this one is not 12 but 15 Watts over 2 speakers. Nevertheless you are quite right about clean headroom. I am running a POD-HD500X into the Laney VC15, so in theory this is a preamp into a preamp into a poweramp. I experience to have a lot of headroom with that. Although I never play 100% clean ...
Lovely review, had a chance of picking one up, sec hand. Think ill pull the trigger after hearing this.

Please make a tutorial video for the shredding you did on the intro. Love it.
Noted!

Why are Laney Iron and Lionheart 15 Watt's much more expensive?
@@beableish Me too.
Those are made in the UK.
Hola servirá para conectar a un batamp zombie ? El amplificador tiene 20wt y 8 ohms.
Nice Demo!
I like open back combos so the drummer can hear it well , i do not know if this amp is open back or not !
Nice lively tone it has !
I have one. It is open back.
yes it is open back

These recordings have post processing and compression from being on youtube. Your amp and guitar are fine :)
@@lanceburnett27 So the amp doesn't actually sound this good?
The Amp is ok, but the Speaker sound like cardboard and quiet. By the top and a good cabinet.
so this has more gain than a laney cub 10??
This is the laney (smack). very nice amp (smak) very light weight (smack)
but can it metal?
With the TS definitely - YES. Got 12R - it also very friendly to high-gain distortion pedals
Fetch this lad a drink of water, eh !

Only 17 kilo all these speaker 2x12 are like 25 kilo and that's a valve amp. Got a lunch box amp and carnt find a light weight speaker
I sell my laney cub 12 212
why?
The teeth sucking is SO annoying.
That’s was the reason to break up with my girlfriend. It might become annoying.

@@beableish It's all so confusing.
Not clean.
Distorted, Definately could hang with a drummer.
Amigo, no sabes tocar sin distorsion?? mala propaganda para el Laney.-
