Maybe my favorite knife ever. Not something I thought I’d be saying watching a UA-cam video today. I’m definitely into the minimalist stark design and less embellishment. Single material and beautiful lines. I’m blown away! Well done sir!
@@АндрейАмосов-п1г если такой нож положить на стол, то лезвие никогда не будет касаться стола. Т.е. это нож удобен для сливочного масла. Как и любой другой нож с тяжелой ручкой.
yeah, this knife is more sculpted our of a metal piece than forged, in fact, it's almost not forged at all (we see something like 5 hammer hit that doesn't realy change the metal shape, I'm not sure why this part was incorporated)
Congratulations for having the patients to make that! It was almost painfull to watch how slow and tedius is was to make with basic tools but you were rewarded with a beatiful piece. Well done!!!

A true masterpiece to be part of a collection. This is not a knife one would use in the wild, though it's been done to serve virtually any purpose, even in a kitchen. Your craftsmanship is unique, you are a true artist. I would like to see you making a blade that can be admired and used by commoners like myself. I know you can and you will. Greetings from Toronto.
Spoken like someone who has absolute 0 clue about what is going on in the video lmao. All of this are just basic metalworking skills. Sawing, Cutting, Polishing, Filing, Tempering/hardening.... That polishwork shows how basic it is. Going from rough filing tools to polishing will show a rough finish. Anyone can powerhouse something like this with a few lessons.
Two things I have to say. One its a unique. The style is definitely an attention getter and two, its user friendly. The rugged design makes it practical and could serve purposes well beyond other knives of this category. Well done!
@@mattyal9347 my only real complaint is the metal handle and it just being one piece of metal, if you really use it (for applications that I would use a knife for) the reverberations would be to much
These are all techniques that I have used myself in college but I never imagined they could be used to create something so beautiful. You are an inspiration. Incredible.
в самом начале не понял зачем такой толстый металл на заготовке :-). потом понял, что ручка цельная :-). вы сделали очень красиво! очень хороший нож!!! ;-)
I see a lot of these really great knife builds on UA-cam. Bits of leaf spring or rebar turned into fantastic looking knives. What I'd like to know is, if they start as rusty bits of metal, what stops them rusting again? I've got a couple of nice knives but they are both made with Sheffield stainless steel. Stainless is an alloy of different metals, surely this is just regular carbon steel and therefore susceptible to rusting.
Well there’s a lot you can do, one of my favorite is to actually induce rusting with a vinegar solution so you get an even coat of ferric oxide. Then you can convert the ferric oxide into ferroferric oxide and give it a niiicee deeeeep blueing. That would look amazing on this knife
That's impressive. Enjoyed watching this, and the fact that you used tools that most ppl have in their shops aside from the belt sanders and induction oven. Beautiful masterpiece
That is a beautiful piece of work. I don't think I could have the dedication to make a knife that futuristic. Great work. I get a vibroblade feeling at it's design.
beautiful work! if I may ask, how did the heat treat go? the handle is very thick and the blade has some holes, this makes for a very tricky heat treating... the fact you did it speaks volumes on your talent and abilities.

This looks almost like a knive version of Raidens High Frequency Blade in Metal Gear Rising. By the way, ever considered making Krausers Knife from Resident Evil 4?
I think if I had done this kind of knife, I would have made those cuts on the blade relief cuts, partway through on each side, rather than holes all the way through. Regardless, this knife is beautiful.
Выглядит очень современно, я бы даже сказал футуристично! Но на сколько он практичен с такими вырезами и как его держать крепко без классической деревянной ручки.
Have you considered blueing this knife? It will protect it from rust and will give it a color that will show off the lines amazing. Look into how they would “rust blue” firearms prior to 1941. Simply beautiful. I have guns that are 120 years old and look nicer than ones new off the shelf. Great job!

Nice work, the chroming and sharpening are especially nice, although the grip can be a bit difficult In general, as I see it, you make beautiful knives, but these are decorative knives rather than knives that can be used
Absolutely stunning! I am a little hesitant about how you hardened the entire knife though. I think I would have preference leaving the handle soft so if it was dropped, you'd have less of a chance of shattering pieces from the handle. Just my 2 cents. Fantastic job at any rate though!
Excellent design & craftsmanship... I would have possibly not have had the hollowed out sections because i primarily use my knives outdoors & will need the full strength.. Kudos to you, pls upload more such new design videos.. cheers & best wishes
