Do you know what is funny about Legendary Super Warriors? They censor the words "Death", "Kill", "Die" with the words "Lost" and/or "Lose" without fixing the sentence so you'll get dialogue like "Prepare to lost!" ...Yet they DIDN'T censor the word "Bastard" in the game.
I remember playing Dragon Ball Z Sagas with my friend back in 3rd grade. Sadly, I liked it, but seeing it now, I wonder why I liked it. But I was like 8, and when you're 8, you don't really see flaws in video games like you do when you're older. But all those glitches you mentioned in this video, I don't remember seeing them when I played them.
it was okay but even in middle school saw its flaws. . . I played it on gamecube though and it wasn't full of bugs like this was which is weird, and I didn't buy it either I just rented it the biggest issue I had with the game was the grind
When I was in middle School I played it everything was going fine until I couldn't kill nappa then the stupid glitch made it to the point where I couldn't kill cell that's the reason why I hated sagas
DUDE WTF. i loved DB sagas as a kid. i mean i hated the camera thing but i thought everything else was awsome. and now you just ruined those memories! GIVE ME BACK MY AWSOME MEMORIES YOU MONSTER! subscribed
+DXFan619 uh buddy there is a dragon ball z game that came out in japan way before this game the game that is for a famicom that uses cards in the gameplay
Ha! I remember playing Sagas as a kid with my siblings. It was a BLAST to us. In fact, we used to enjoy a lot of shitty games as children. And back then, at least we actually played the whole game through without getting bored of it and quitting midway. We made sure we opened every character, every level, every secret just -- EVERYTHING. Sigh... I miss those days.
In an ideal universe the XBox would be THE hub of DBZ games. XBox live would be poppin with some kinda prototype Xenoverse but nope. This pile of shit ruined ALL prospects and all but handed it to Sony. Who does ok I must admit. Doesn't make the lost potential any less saddening tho
on gamecube they fixed some of the issues and released the game like 6 months later but it still had some glitches but it wasn't as bad as the ps2 version
I utterly hated Sagas, I have some sort of love hate relationship with Ultimate Battle 22, the game is most certainly flawed but executing special attacks is kind of nice if you can do it and soundtrack is pretty cool and I really like Trunks' theme in it
I wonder if on the next Summer of 619 he'll review Super Dragon Ball for the PS2. That game almost made me punch a hole in my TV. Also, 25 To Life wasn't THAT bad...right?
Hats off to you, my friend. It's good to meet a fellow fan of anime and pro-wrestling in the youtube community. Also, as a kid, I used to enjoy playing DBZ Sagas on the original Xbox. Back then, I could've easily looked past all of the flaws in shitty video games and appreciate it for what it is. I can no longer do that now that I'm older and more wiser. As gamers, we expect more effort put into good gaming, especially when it comes to anime-based games like DBZ, Naruto, .Hack, etc.
As a kid I'd never understand why dragon ball z sagas was so hated. The fact that this was a co-op DBZ game that let you run around levels and fight enemies and bosses made this the best DBZ game in my eyes. For me it's just one of those games that has aged horribly over the years. I guess it also helps that no one ever promised me that it was a DBZ meets GTA game. I feel like someone else could pull off that kind of game now. Especially when you look at Saints Row Four. They seemed to do powers and flying in an open world environment pretty well.
Sagas has more negatives among bad DBZ games, but it also has WAY more positives. The voice acting is solid. The combos work, despite being a little slow, and the boss battles are actually a strong point of the game, as all of the bosses play differently. At higher difficulties they can actually be quite engaging to fight, because they employ more serious tactics, such as teleporting more often. For all it's worth, Sagas is still by no means a good game, but it was much better than the other bad DBZ games you listed...
Legendary super warriors was ok at the time it came out.. I liked it as a kid.. Beat it without problems after learning the game honestly.. And I was like 9
Legendary Super Warriors was the shit back then though! Still a fan of it. It was challenging, had good mechanics for the actual fights, a shitton of unlockables (some hidden) and you could replay the campaign with any character you want. The music is really catchy as well. :3
"Notorious for it's action and overbearing amount of fighting"? Don't you mean "famous"? Just 'Saiyan'. You saw what I did, there? =3 Edit: I'm also watching this in celebration of the soon-to-be released Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, that will be be pretty awesome. No, I'm NOT kidding! Sure as hell better than the crappy DBZ games that have been reviewed on this channel.
Not to defend Sagas but the reason cells health was not dropping is that you were not SSJ2. I beat this game 100% three times as a kid with my friend, this game is so easy it's a joke and when playing co-op it can be somewhat fun
If you check the french version of Dragon Power, that is actually DragonBall for the NES you will notice that aside from the ridiculous flaws it has, they follow the story pretty well until son Goku has to go to Space! Try watch the subtitled show of Joueur du Grenier, he has reviewed this crap and you should check it out if you want to have some laughs and dare to go through that awful game to see how butchered the story the game is after some levels. Nice job, hoping to see more reviews!
Dragon Power was one of the first NES games I ever played as a kid. And yes, it did suck ass. The only way I could ever get past the big guy with the sword was to just mash buttons.
All the glitches you mentioned in sagas I never encountered also I noticed you only showed the ps2 case maybe the console was the problem because I played and beat sagas five times and i never encountered those glitches p.s. I played in xbox
i know im gonna look stupid for saying this but i picked up a copy of Dragon Ball Z Sagas for gamecube for $15 because i had it about 6 or 7 years ago and started playing it. I did encounter a lot of glitches like my character dissapearing but still managed to beat it. I think besides all the glitches, its a pretty solid game and very fun despite me beating it in about 2 hours max.
I found that the action, while really cool, was the least interesting part of DBZ. The overall story and fadcinating and complex characters are what interested me the most.
12:30 Damn,I didn't know the Wyatt Family created DBZ For Kinect. No wonder Bray Wyatt wins a title in WWE,cuz he already won the worst kinect game title XD. *BLOWS OUT LANTERN* Bray:I'm here.......
+DXFan619 Looks terrible? If you are talking about the filler arc and Resurrection F arcs, then I could see why, but the Battle of Gods, Universe 6, and Future Trunks arcs are awesome!
Actually the reason you can't damage cell at the final is because you need to be ssj2 not saying its a good game and your wrong it's still should rest in piss.
+Kam Dodson Not really. The prompt at the beginning of that Cell fight tells you to reach SSJ2 by getting into a power struggle with him. That glitch is showing that he never throws a ki blast at you at all, therefore it's impossible to reach SSJ2 due to this glitch.
Well the worst thing on that DBZ saga is that u have to KEEP hitting your opponent to keep you in SS form. What's even worst is that it decrease really fast. But when u are Broly he stays in SS form while the rest have to keep on hitting your opponent to turn SS.
While I've not had the luck to own any of these titles, I did own Super Dragon Ball Z, a PS2 game with the same concept as a "quarter to continue" arcade game. The controls were literally made for a joy stick. The combos weren't even translated to the proper console. "Spin analog stick in a semi-circle, then press kick, punch, punch, then spin analog in a semi-circle going counter-clockwise..." the game was just a pile of trash.
Aw man. Dragon Ball Z Sagas. I played it too, and I don't think it was really all that great. I didn't get too far in it. The enemies got stronger the further you got, and at some point I got to piccolo's home planet and got rekt by the enemies there. Blagh.
*GOOD FIGHTING GAMES* Budokai trilogy, Tenkaichi 2 & 3, Super Dragon Ball Z, Supersonic Warriors 2, Burst Limit, Raging Blast 2, Xenoverse, Ultimate Butōden, Extreme Butōden, Jump Ultimate Stars, J-Stars Victory VS+ *GOOD RPGS* Kyōshū Saiyajin!, Gekishin Freeza!, Super Saiya Densetsu, Legacy of Goku II, Buu's Fury, Attack of the Saiyans *GOOD RETRO FIGHTERS* Super Butōden 2, Buyū Retsuden, Hyper Dimension, Idainaru Densetsu *GOOD FANGAMES* Hyper DBZ beta, Super Smash Flash 2, Super Smash Bros. yea I played mine on the cube and it didn't have some of the flaws he's talking about and it looked better than what this did, maybe the PS2 version was jacked
The cell saga fight with gohan wasn't a glitch. To damage cell u had to be super sayain 2 or else it wouldn't do shit. It didn't tell u that so I can understand why u wouldn't know
Actually,I've played Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero. It isn't that glitchy. Sure it's fucking cheap, and the controls are weird as all hell, and it's not a good game (I was able to find it on a decent flash emulator for the Sega Genesis, believe it or not)but it's stable.
Broke my arm today. I laughed so hard my arm was shaking and I was screaming in pain. I love you DX.
Hell yeah, dudes full of comedy and hilarious commentary, definitely doesn't have the sub count or attention he should have
Do you know what is funny about Legendary Super Warriors? They censor the words "Death", "Kill", "Die" with the words "Lost" and/or "Lose" without fixing the sentence so you'll get dialogue like "Prepare to lost!"
...Yet they DIDN'T censor the word "Bastard" in the game.
Talk about hypocritical localization.
I just snort-chuckled. I hope that localization team got fired. 🤣
@@rebelfleettrooper9881 I wonder if there's a rom hack that fixes that?
I remember playing Dragon Ball Z Sagas with my friend back in 3rd grade. Sadly, I liked it, but seeing it now, I wonder why I liked it. I had the same exact experience, I mean literally exact same. I'm wondering if you're the friend I played it with haha.
it was okay but even in middle school saw its flaws. . .

Imagine DX reviewing DBZ Kinect...
Rest In Peace Akira Toriyama 😔🕊

+TheUltimateDynamiteGamer This comment needs more likes.
+TheUltimateDynamiteGamer Good job, detective. LMAO!
Calum Gallagher Lol!
3:55 Did he just complain that Kame-Sennin Roshi (Turtle Hermit Roshi) was localized under the name "Turtle Hermit"?
yeah they also use that name in Xenoverse
That's his name though... Turtle Hermit.....
That's wasn't he was complaining about
I love your channel so much.
xMattyCat YT Thank you!
jazzgirl 332 Thank you!

Jokes on you. I played through Sagas,... twice.
Naturally I thought it was hell.

CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA!!
Egao urutora zetto de,
Kyô mo ai-yai-yai-yai-yai!!
that's my favorite dbz song
FACKI
Some fuckface Wyatt Family
SPARKING!
Dragon ball Z sagas was tragically my first exposure to anime
Too bad Dragonball Z: Sagas was the only DBZ game ever released on the original Xbox, and the game was terrible.
I thought Sagas was good on the GameCube.
on gamecube they fixed some of the issues and released the game like 6 months later but it still had some glitches but it wasn't as bad as the ps2 version
I have the GameCube version and still have love for it.
I forced myself to squeeze some fun out of it but, let's take off our nostalgia goggles, gentlemen.
Legacy of Goku 1, DBGT Transformations, DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi, and DBZ Kinect. Those are the games teased at the end.
DBZ Sagas was the first game I ever returned to the game store.
Also, 25 To Life wasn't THAT bad...right?

you too, I used to play Dragon ball z sagas as a kid and it was somehow very fun
The legendary Super Warriors is where the amazing 11million down load Dokkan battle comes from.
PLZ PLZ PLZ Tell me the 8bit song used for 1:00
I believe it's this one. ドラゴンボール「魔訶不思議アドベンチャー!」8bit
As a kid I'd never understand why dragon ball z sagas was so hated. And we never got a part 3😔
Never say never 🤔
@DXFromYT Kinda sad Akira Toriyama passed away yesterday. May he rest In peace 😔
Bootleg Roshi/Turtle Hermit looks like Gandalf. 😳
Grand Theft Dragon Z: Goku's Redemption would sound very fucking awesome if Rockstar made that
I watched TFS play Sagas and it was fucking hilarious. They were trying so hard not to rage-quit. The game ended up on the Wall of Shame. 🤣
REALLY GREAT VIDEO!! keep up the good work man(oh and I am one of your newer subscribers too ^_^)
@UnrealKxng Yeah quite a bit. I rewatch his older videos
Yo, Dx please do a video like this for the Naruto games your analysis and commentary would be appreciated man
i also encountered a glitch where yamcha only had one arm in sagas
Sagas has more negatives among bad DBZ games, but it also has WAY more positives. The voice acting is solid. This thumbnail predicted Swag CEO Goku.
*DRIP*
Dude your videos like this are very informative and hilarious 🤣 😆 😂 😄
I couldn't recall Sagas until you mentioned it here. I am pretty sure I played it all the way through on the Gamecube.
Awesome piece of content. Keep up the great work! :))
Wow I just got the play on "Summer of '69". I'm like a living anti-drug ad. Very clever anyway man.
'The controls are DELAYED! in a fighting game this is unacceptable' and yet MK got away with it XD
Is there going to DBZ Games 3?
Legendary super warriors was ok at the time it came out.. I liked it as a kid.. Beat it without problems after learning the game honestly.. And I was like 9
By the way just subbed good content.. Good job bro

It’s me or the cover of the first game (and the dubbed game itself) is just as faithful to the series as Dragon Ball Evolution?
"Notorious for it's action and overbearing amount of fighting"? Don't you mean "famous"? Just 'Saiyan'. You saw what I did, there? =3

Mr Josef I don't think he wants to answer that one
Mr Josef i have mewtwo on pokymon
Dragon Power was one of the first NES games I ever played as a kid. And yes, it did suck ass. The only way I could ever get past the big guy with the sword was to just mash buttons.
GTA+Dragon Ball Z = DBZ: Kakarot
Man this game needs some fanart
Well i. Enjoyed dbgt final bout when i was kid.... Those 3d graphics made me feel amazed back in time
hundreds of games, an you only choose 6?
Bulma to Nora?, That's the dumbest idea to change the name of a character
All the glitches you mentioned in sagas I never encountered also I noticed you only showed the ps2 case maybe the console was the problem because I played and beat sagas five times and i never encountered those glitches p.s. I played in xbox
John Wright played on GameCube. Had no problems. Can barely remember playing it but don't remember raging.
i know im gonna look stupid for saying this but i picked up a copy of Dragon Ball Z Sagas for gamecube for $15 because i had it about 6 or 7 years ago and started playing it. I don't care what anyone says, Wind Wave sounds fucking badass, almost as badass as the kamehameha, rolls off the tongue nicely
DAT FUCKING ENDING LMFAOOO
I found that the action, while really cool, was the least interesting part of DBZ. The overall story and fadcinating and complex characters are what interested me the most.
What do people think of the Legacy of Goku games?
When you realize Dragon Ball Evolution was adapting Dragon Power.
That is why I never played so many DBZ games.
5:18 thru 5:38
(Head explodes)
I've played that second dbz game
my god I couldn't even beat piccolo
you have to fight him
and I had no idea what to do
If we dont think about these games he plays. The legacy of goku series and supersonic warriors are awesome
Avalanche software? Arn't those the same guys who made Disney Infinity?
12:30 Damn,I didn't know the Wyatt Family created DBZ For Kinect. No wonder Bray Wyatt wins a title in WWE,cuz he already won the worst kinect game title XD. *BLOWS OUT LANTERN* Bray:I'm here.......
dbz sagas was reviewed by projared
Oh no you didnt. Legendary Super Warriors is a classic. Good strategy and got better reviews than most db/z games. Script is lol worthy though
dannyzee4 loved that game
We have dokkan battle
Dragon power looks like it would've been in action 52
But...but Dbz sagas was my favorite when i was kid...
But then we got DBZ: Kakarot that fixed all these problems.
The second DBZ game actually fun , just think of it as Pokemon with DBZ style.
Dude...you're FUCKING HILARIOUS
my friend had dragon Ball z sagas on gamecube but he didn't like it cause of the glitches
did you make part 3?
Nah, Part 3 would include console games, which I don't have access to at the moment, sadly.
DXFan619 just emulate
Hey DX, are you really gonna do a part 3 of more bad dragon ball Z games, because I just want to know that’s all 🫤
He could maybe
I hope so too
What is your view on Dragonball super?
Not watching, looks terrible.
you should try it, it could be a great "anime i f*cking hate" material.
+DXFan619 Looks terrible? If you are talking about the filler arc and Resurrection F arcs, then I could see why, but the Battle of Gods, Universe 6, and Future Trunks arcs are awesome!
out of curiosity why did you hate dragon ball z?
Poppa G I don't hate it. At least not all of it. Cell and Boo Arcs are written pretty poorly. Boo Arc especially is godawful.

So much for the heart of the cards
While I've not had the luck to own any of these titles, I did own Super Dragon Ball Z, a PS2 game with the same concept as a "quarter to continue" arcade game. The controls were literally made for a joy stick. The combos weren't even translated to the proper console. "Spin analog stick in a semi-circle, then press kick, punch, punch, then spin analog in a semi-circle going counter-clockwise..." the game was just a pile of trash.
Is it bad that I never watched dragon ball
In Hungary they are called crystal balls.
Hate to say it bt Sagas and 50 cent bulletproof were my favorites
Rugrats: Royal Ransom was Avalanche's best game.
Aw man. Dragon Ball Z Sagas. I played it too, and I don't think it was really all that great.
I didn't get too far in it. The enemies got stronger the further you got, and at some point I got to piccolo's home planet and got rekt by the enemies there. Blagh.
Dragon power was fun. I loved laughing at all the similarities (before I found that it really was the game, just changed in America)
Are there any good/great Dragonball games?
*GOOD FIGHTING GAMES*

+Big Fat Man I edited my post and added a few more good DBZ games.
+Super60429 Outstanding.

I remember wanting DBZ Sagas like a decade ago or so and it seeming really awesome but I guess its awful
DXfan619 you forgot about Dbz Kinect
Oh
I know
what were the games at the very end
They're a secret!
DXFan619Revisited It's a secret to everyone.
ultimate tenkaichi and dragon ball z kinect for xbox 360
the legacy of goku and dragon ball gt transformation
dragon ball z kinect is TERRIBLE
Mhmm idk I remember having fun playing Sagas
I actually kinda like DBZ sagas...
Actually, I played 360 version and you were playing PS2, so 360 might be better.
***** Those were definitely the best sections of the game
Yea, I liked it too
I also like it
yea I played mine on the cube and it didn't have some of the flaws he's talking about and it looked better than what this did, maybe the PS2 version was jacked
The cell saga fight with gohan wasn't a glitch. To damage cell u had to be super sayain 2 or else it wouldn't do shit. It didn't tell u that so I can understand why u wouldn't know
Tfs played Sagas in its entirety and it is as bad as DX says.
5:10 I'm more confused 😕
did u really owend dbz sagas?
lmao dude kills me keep up the great work
I kinda liked Sagas. it was bad but I have fond memories of it.
Legendary super warriors owned
Actually,I've played Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero. It isn't that glitchy. Sure it's fucking cheap, and the controls are weird as all hell, and it's not a good game (I was able to find it on a decent flash emulator for the Sega Genesis, believe it or not)but it's stable.
Good thing we have dokkan battle
