The art and editing is nice sure, but the logical layout and description of how the mechanics work makes it so much easier to understand, compared to 'put all these mods on the head, then these on the hands' sequential style most people seem to publish. This was extremely well put together. I'm probably never even going to run this build because I don't really play titan too much. Tone, delivery, transitions, editing altogether. Just solid work.
I've actually found that I prefer running Arc titan to the other two arc classes, so I switch classes rather than subclasses, based on which element surge is active, and which class it's more fun to play on. Solar hunter, Arc titan, Void warlock is what I've shaken out so far. I've recently put together the Arc Synthoceps build on my titan, so I've gone full crayon-eating punch-machine the last few days, lol.
Tysm for this build! When Lightfall dropped my original HOIL build was trashed, this for sure restored it to its former glory, if not made it more glorious! Also, what's that black and red shader you're using? I have a thing for the black and red combo, just wanna make sure I have it.. is it New Age Black Armory?

Void titan can get 1200% faster grenades so long as they have an over shield. You can get a scatter grenade back every 8 to 9 seconds with zero discipline. With tier 10 discipline, and the right mods you can get your grenade back in less than 3 seconds.
Can you do this with other classes/subclasses. This was so helpfull. You illustrated each armor piece, mod and explained the way to make it work plus some options. Thank you.

I love it, but the stat priority at the end is bad. You need resil and grenade, then Recovery with this build. The intellectual doesn't matter at all. The passive charge is NOTHING compared to the kills woth grenade. Dynamo would improve the t crash time with the frequency of thrusters. Intellect after tier 3 is basically useless
I take this as validation for my theory that Rezyl Azirr (the original owner of the HOIL) was the inspiration for Shaxx's dream of throwing enough grenades.

The orb generation methods section doesn’t mention that Knockout kills count towards activating Heavy Handed, generating orbs essentially for free through “powered” melee kills that don’t use any melee energy.

I feel like at this point they should just try to make other titan exotics better to bring them in line with HOIL. So many exotics that are kind of useless by comparison in PVE. Still great build, just wish there were more of a reason not to use HOIL
Never liked picking up orbs with the HOIL, Or anything that make you run out of cover and into the lions mouth. Good for new light. Had my fun with it before Bungie desecrated it..still good option but not even near what it used to be at its raw state and with the entire game nerfed abilities & mods.... Not the same speed and consistency.
Great build! Personally I'd run at least one heavy handed mod since even your base melee counts as a charged melee and you can make unlimited orbs without waiting on cooldowns. Also, Id use thunderclap over shoulder charge because of its ability to on demand heal you with knockout if you just tap melee on red bars, no sprinting required.
What if you use the double lightening grandes instead to jolt things like crazy for ionic traces and they do that intrinsically. This frees up another fragment slot and gives you 2 grenades. I also was running the exotic fusion that makes traces too and jolts or travelers chosen side arm. I also have the DSC sword with wellspring and demo both enhanced traits to give energy back in chunks.
I was bummed when my storm grenade titan build got wrecked over the last few patches. I switched to playing my other characters more after the HOIL nerf. I'll give this a shot though.
I know it's much, but could someone name the weapons or at least the weapon type combos he shows at 11:00 for Gambit and Nightfall? Or basically a good combo for someone who doesn't raid and doesn't have the super duper weapons?

I think your example with iterative loop to point how demo enhanced perk is better is kinda not fair nor exact because this weapon launch micro missile and you showed it in shuro chi with plenty of one shot mobs. Don't worry castle i got you im one of 4 warlocks running apotheosis veil for the sole purpose of buffing my titans class ability regen. ive also got a buddy rocking veritys for even more grenades.
Whats the point of using hoil when mods doing basicly the same thing?? When mods give energy back just as fast as hoil it means bungie killed hoil. Which we also see now. Litterally almost no one use hoil. Its a waste of exotic slot.
The healing is just not there on this build. Orbs ain’t gonna do it in tougher content like the legend exotic Avalon mission. This is a fun build for seasonal battlegrounds I wouldn’t go any crazier than that
Nope id didn't not saying this is a good build it's actually close to what it was but with a lot of extra effort for a less efective result... But it's not, not only because of the nerf to HOIL but the nerf to the storm nades on Titan
Would like to recommend not to put void weapon cahnneling artifact perk when doing non-void, it only activates on void subclasses because it relies on charged void abilities, the tooltip in the mod window also says it only activates on void subclasses.
You can rock a similar build on lock with verity's it'll take a bit to get the build going as you need energy weapon kills to get the grenade damage boost but running the same armor mods and an arc weapon with demo you'll always have a pulse nade so long as you're killing stuff and picking orbs up
This build is no where near where it once was. It’s not even fun anymore. Arc titan died. To say it’s even better is a joke. I aspect better from Castle.
I’ve seen a lot of builds but the in depth about every mod to be as effective as possible is perfect so thanks, more builds on any character would be awesome

I've been running this build the past few weeks. I don't understand the people saying that Hoil Arc is bad.
Running a glaive may be great for this setup.
If heals trigger off of glaive melee.

Biggest issue I ran into was just not being able to produce enough orbs. The switch to Spark of Amplitude was a literal game changer.

instead of hoil u can use ARMAMENTARIUM (it gives 2 grenade charges) with pulse grenade way better build then yours, thank me later

It didn’t make it a ridiculous build with the mods. That’s the reason they nerfed it. Because of the new mod’s.
