    I've got Ozone Standard 10 and I usually remove maximizer for my Sonible Smart Limiter and it makes a huge difference!

      Haven't tried Sonible Limiter yet. Ozone have a few different IRC modes, I wonder how they compare to other limiters.

      Thanks for leaving the comment:) I am using Ozone since version 2 and never would have imagined it would turn into AI mastering giant! Have been experimenting with different plugin and analog emulation, but mastering is all about precision and Ozone delivers

      @@PoloTremolo Ozone 2, wow! That's crazy, you were really at the start of the digital music production revolution!
      I think my first Ozone was version 7. Agreed, all the layers of precision in Ozone 11 are really cool.

    11 is just one louder :))

    • @PoloTremolo
      @PoloTremolo  7 місяців тому

      Indeed, it is louder:) But also it usually helps getting the tone right, masters are bright but not too bright. With older versions, it depended much on the input

    I'm impressed by how significant the difference is between the individual versions. What was missing in the comparisons is gain matching. The varying volumes make it difficult to assess the different qualities. I'm using Version 9 and also using Smart:EQ and Smart:Limit by Sonible. Soon, I'll treat myself to Soothe 2 as well. A package consisting of Ozone 11, Sonible plugins, and Soothe 2. Hell yeah! I love the time we live in. All these plugins make a real difference.

      Hey, thanks for pointing that out. You are right, I could have volume matched those, but anyway the difference in overall tone is huge, but yes - the new version seems to make hotter/louder master:) I've got Soothe 1 and sometimes feel tempted to overuse it, but I found that in some cases, ie harsh hihats etc, Spectral Shaper from Ozone does good job too, and it does not distroy transients.

    The thing you said in the end about not having many genres like trap etc. - You can add your own presets from song examples with that specific genre and Ozone will add it to the list for you.
    Pretty sure izotope mentioned this feature in their video where they explained the new features of Ozone 11

    • @PoloTremolo

      Thanks for pointing that out. You're right:) This can be done with iZotope Audiolens which is a free software, but only for a specific piece of music (I showed how it works somewhere in the middle of my vid). However I would prefer a more general targets that could have been creating by analizing not single recordings but dozens or maybe even handreds chart hits. More broad targets can be created using Tonal Balance by analyzing the whole catalogues of music from hard drive, but I think these can be used only in Tonal BAlance and I think Tonal Balance is about EQ curves only and Audiolens analyzes also dynamics, stereo width etc. Anyway Let me know what are your experiences with usign Audiolens, cause I haven't used it much yet!

      @@PoloTremolo Ohh, yeah that would be amazing. And I haven't really tried Audiolens YET, but I'm pretty sure I'll get a hold of it pretty soon and test it out.
      Anyway, have a nice day!

    Great video. How do you create a batch target in audio lens? I’ve made a bunch of individual targets but from within ozone 11 the custom targets show up individually?

    • @PoloTremolo
      @PoloTremolo  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for asking. You are right, I think I got it wrong - Audiolens lets you make individual targets, but you can use iZotope Tonal Balance 2 to make some more broad targets - I haven't play with that much though and these can't be used for Ozone (Audiolens measures not only spectrum, but also dynamics, width and it would be probably difficult to have a batch or genre specific target like this).
      Also, another great tool for monitoring the spectrum is Excite Audio Vision 4X - the meters show narrow targets for very different genres and it works amazingly - once i get my hip hip, house or techno track to fit wihtin the range it sounds very well balanced - highly recommended! Literally the best for low end monitoring in my opinion.

    I'm Still Not Understanding Of How to Setup 4 Instances To Achieve An Immersive Master Such as in Your Final Demonstrations. When I Load 4 Instances Of Ozone 11 On My Main Buss or Master Stereo Out, All I Get Is...ARTIFACTS That Send My Computer CPU Into Heart Attack Mode... It Would be Most Helpful To Do A Step By Step From Exporting a Stereo Trk In, Then Show How To Stem Out That Process... I Use FL Studio 21 and I Think It's Something i'm Overlooking Because In Other Tutorials I See The Same Configuration as Yours , Either On LOGIC or Ableton Live...What am I Missing ? HeeeeeeLLLLPPPPPP ! 😁 If Possible.

    My question is, do the stems have artifacts? No artifact shall be the explicit goal of such a program as the separation tool.

    • @PoloTremolo
      @PoloTremolo  9 місяців тому

      I don’t think there is a perfect tool, but probably there will be one in the future;) anyway, even though you can’t separate stems perfectly there should be no significant phase issues or so called group delays - so using Imager or digital Eq you should be on the safe side😜

    What’s the track you’re mastering?

    • @PoloTremolo
      @PoloTremolo  10 місяців тому +1

      The techno track is called "Revival" and was produced by a friend of mine Pablo de Grey. The second one I mixed and stem-mastered is Greg Heldens' "Belive in me" - I think the latter can be found on Spotify ;)
