Becky I am SO SO SAD that I only discovered your channel today! My partner and I are really dedicated Canadian players and would love a chance to come to Xiamen for the 2024 training camp. I see that it's sold out but is there any chance you can still have some wiggle room for 2 players?
Sorry! It's totally sold out. I even have a little waiting list going of other people that want to go. Keep an eye out in dec for announcements for the next one next summer!
Hi Becky! Where is the best place in Xiamen to train my boys for Badminton. They are 11 and 13 and played really well in their age. We are planning to have them train in China for a month or 2. We are from Canada.
There isn't any "best" courts or coaches here in Xiamen, there are really good coaches are all over the city. (Like the kids that win the kid competitions all have different coaches, it's not one coach who trains all the top kids.) I usually recommend people just go to the court easiest to get to and then watch the coaches and see who's style is best for your kids temperament to learn from. Because most courts will have really good coaches in Xiamen (cause we are such a big badminton city).
Why don't you make it longer like 3 weeks because travelling there takes huge amounts of planning and money and like 1 week is just to little to fully appreciate the training
That would be great for sure, but this camp is for adults who generally have jobs and families and other responsibilities and can't easily take off 3+ weeks for badminton training. Of course longer is better to improve your game, but even a week of dedicated training can help people improve and bring back a lot of tips and tricks they can use in their daily lives to help them continue to improve.
@@TheHi-T yeah for sure. Coach will still be around and available, but summer holiday starts right as the camp ends, so the student helper will probably leave Xiamen to go back to their home and I probably will leave to do traveling, so daily life would have to be on your own.
As an original member of the first Badminton Becky training camp, I can highly recommend!! And am quite tempted to join again myself😆
Awww, thanks Toby! You know coach would love to see you again!
Becky is the Sherpa for non Chinese badminton players in Xiamen❤
The wait is finally over

@@BadmintonBecky Is staying for another 2 weeks after the camp to play badminton & tour the city an option?

Is there an option to stay longer than a week?
