Seattle! hence the Westland request. A little distillery called 3 howls here also does a young but tasty single malt (as well as a full bore hopped whisky, coincidentally). for the record I mooched the signatory from a BBQ joint here.
haha, I am also doing the spread sheet split by country, single malt, blend, bourbon, Rye, and Wheat. This way I can try to get all the whiskey's at some point but I have also been taking comment notes to avoid the ones that don't sound like good for me.
I've been watching through the back catalog and would love to see your spreadsheet (as it would save me the effort of making my own). Is it something you can share?
You need to check out Peach St. distilling from CO. They have a couple Bier Schnapps that you'd find really interesting. One is from Left Hand and the other from Ska...
For sure! Both breweries are solid, but if you like the stout flavor profile I'd suggest trying to get your hands on the Ska bottle. They distill Ska Steel Toe Stout and finish it in bourbon barrels. VERY interesting. I'd send you a bottle, but I'm not it CO any more.
India Pale Ale. It's one of the most popular varieties of craft beer in the U.S. It's characterised by a strong hop profile. They are usually higher in both ABV (alcohol by volume) and IBU (international bittering units). For example: an American lager will have an IBU of around 5-15, while an IPA is often 50+ IBU.

Daniel is such a details man, that you can hear the pain it causes him to make up a Mooch level
I didn't know y'all were down the road from Saltlick!! I'm gonna have to come visit y'all next time I go there!
No, Rex. You do not end up "loving hops" if you are a beer enthusiast. Love my beer, but heavy hops just kills it for me.
I like the titles, I completely buy stuff you guys recommend

Gandalf: so it has begun.
Compare to the glenfiddich IPA experiment?
You're a drummer?! So am I! What type of music are you into? :D
I was into the type of music that paid :-) I was a session player and studio musician. But what I love is just about anything but heavy metal.
Haha. Can't go wrong with that!
Ive wanted to go eat at Salt Lick for years.
"straight up pale ale with a hint of whiskey"
What is ipa?
