Here is Episode 2 in our Thrawn series: “How Thrawn Reemerged and Almost Conquered the Galaxy”. If you would like to see how Thrawn was able to unify the Imperial Remnant and the opening moves in his campaign against the New Republic, you can find Episode 1 here: ua-cam.com/video/7XGfLo9xtmM/v-deo.html Thank you for your support as always everyone, I hope you enjoy today’s video! :)
In new books Thrawn straight up says that when Palpatine dies he as the Grand Admiral will have considerable influence over the successor of the throne implying that either a puppet emperor will be seated with Thrawn holding real power or he himself will ascend to the throne so given the chance he would have taken it
I really enjoy your episodes... minus the ending of them. The who "if nt for me... then for blah blah blah". I find that so annoying., like i rush to hit pause to avoid it. I know its a small complaint but your episodes are usually so good that there isn't much to nitpick over. I'll put up with it naturally but it would be really cool if it disappeared like the katana fleet. Lol 😆 Keep up the good work 👏
Kids would have eaten the Expanded Universe content up like it was their last meal for eternity. But no, we needed true garbage fanfic that's only real purpose is to make quick money on ignorant casuals and children while subliminally implanting their wack ass agendas 💀💀💀
Then you realize that George never considered Legends in the same universe as the movies and called it an alternate world so none of it was ever canon anyway. Remember Palpatine's clone got shot by Han fucking solo in the legends material...
Funny thing is, when Timothy Zahn wrote those books it was still generally believed that the Clone Wars were so named because clones were used to attack the Republic, rather than to defend it. Some of the resistance against Thrawn and the Empire was actually heightened because people were terrified that he was causing a second round of the Clone Wars. Also, in the Legends novels Crosscurrent and Riptide, it was revealed that Thrawn had a secret cloning facility where researchers tried to splice the genes of Jedi and Darksiders/Sith, trying to create warriors who could use both sides of the Force with ease. Not necessarily the most well thought out idea of the author, in my mind.
Lucasfilm cleverly explained all that later on. There was a Dark Horse comic about the Seperatists trying to clone an army of Morgukai Warriors to fight the Jedi and Republic and that explained why captain Pellaeon said he remembered fighting clonrs in The Clone Wars. The "Clone Rebellion" mentioned in the Thrawn Trilogy was not the Clone Wars but the clone rebellion that was depicted in the 2005 Battlefront II game. Also a lot of what was said about the Clone Wars was later explained by Lucasfilm to be the CIS/Seperatists viewpoint on the Clone Wars.
Well, as the above comments mentioned, there was the Clone Uprising on Kamino, as well as other similar events with rogue clones in between episodes 3 and 4, and the seps were considering making clones of their own based on aliens that were good at killing Jedi. And some of the people describing the clones as something that attacked the Republic were either from the POV of Separatists who were decimated by the late republic's/early empire's clone troopers, or people who saw said clone uprisings like that on Kamino. Perhaps early anti imperial factions who saw themselves as loyalists to the true republic were being attacked by the empire's clones, the first Storm Troopers, and there was that, too. So on top of the valid points you and the other comments made, I think it would be cool if some sort of Star Wars anime or TV show that tied this all together, what if there were some planets where some new batches of clones went haywire and the Empire had to send their military to crush it. Perhaps a scheming Palpatine allowed a batch of expendible clones to go haywire on a civilian populace somewhere as a false flag, so that he could send his forces to "save" the people from said clones. This way it would convince people to hate what they associated with the Old Republic, fear cloning so that they would hate clones (except for those under the thumb of the empire), and be used as fuel for Palpatine to justify weaning the Imperial Military off of clones (at least officially) and focusing on recruiting and conscripting birth born humans to be the bulk of the Imperial military. Whether Disney or Legends, the Empire eventually favored mass amounts of humans over clones, with Vader's 501st being the only pure Fett Clone regiment. The only difference is that with Disney the transition from clones to humans was immediate, and in Legends there were middle steps between Fett Clones and Birthborn humans, and those middle transition steps were clones of other other people aside from Fett after the Clone Uprising. Not only would their be diversity among the clones, but it would give them numbers to hold them over until they had recruited enough humans. In the Legends version, at least for a while, the Empire tried to maintain a 50/50 ratio of humans and clones, and over time the human half got bigger and bigger and the clones became a minority, with Fett clones a shrinking minority within a minority. However, secretly, off and on, Palpatine would occasionally pump out a new litter of clones on secret cloning facilities to either supplement his forces with usually low quality, cheaply made "flash clones", was experimenting some kind of potential super soldier prototype that rarely got off the ground, or was trying to find some way to use cloning to make himself immortal, making a clone of himself to transfer his spirit to in case he died. Silly idea: Kylo Ren mentioned he thought he should have used a clone army. Wouldn't it be neat that if in the next movie, Kylo gets his wish to at least have his own personal army of clones to supplement his forces, and perhaps some of it would be based on what he dug up from Thrawn's secret cloning facility (esp since he's not bound by the traditions of Jedi vs Sith).
Thrawn rules. Funny; I've always pronounced C'Baoth as K'Bàoth in my mind. I guess because I'm Dutch we have different visions on how to pronounce these things :)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES - Sign me up man, just one thing to get people more exited, put Ep2 or something before the title of the episode (would have been here a 9 minutes earlyer)
Did Thrawn know that Palpatine was alive in Byss and secretly ordered most of the Imperial Navy to the Deep Core? I believe Thrawn was Palpatine's unknowing pawn
It seems he did not, although Palpatine was aware of Thrawn's own operations. Palpatine also didn't want future possible competitors, or those against his plan to whittle down both the Republic and Empire to his suit his image.
Yes. C 'boath told Thrawn and Palleon a couple times that he killed the Emperor's guardian. I always thought the Guardian wanted either a slave or companionship so he or she created a clone.
The Thrawn book trilogy is still one of my fav books based on Star Wars. Thrawn was such an impressive calculated character. He was the only alien that Palpatine gave a Grand Admiral status even though the Emperor had a humans first policy. Which shows the brilliance and worth of Thrawn as a tactician and strategist
Nooooooo I have to save this for later because I was just about to read the trilogy! Damn Also, Dooku's curved lightsaber is my fav, he embodies form 2 so well and it aids with it, the elegance and confidence he uses it with is beautiful in both movies and the clone wars.
Definitely understandable PT, I think you are going to love the Trilogy (might be a bit biased here though ;)) And I totally agree about Dooku, Makashi and the curved hilt define Dooku in a lot of ways for me. Enjoy the Trilogy PT!
Wow, thank you so much for the very kind comment and support here. Can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment! I always have to give Thrawn that extra little bit. :) But really, thank you again and have a great day!
So glad to see this amazing series coming back! This was some of, if not the, most interesting and gripping material in Legends. Hopefully we get a little more Thrawn action in cannon, I'm not ready for him to be out of the picture yet. Can't wait to see what you do next! Thanks SWRC!!! :D
Great video. I love this series. If you're going to do the thrawn trilogy, then when you're done could you do the X-Wing books.? There's what 10 of them? That'll keep you in business for a while
#Suggestion: After the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, a lieutenant in Grand Admiral Trawn's Imperial ship decided that he would steal a couple of his newly found Sparty cloning tubes for himself and leave Thrawn's service. His name was Lt. Ves Kovin, a human from Corillia who became dis-enfranchised with the empire, but he kept those feelings to himself up until his theft of 2 Sparty Cloning tubes and his escape from Thrawn's service. Lt. Kovin placed those tubes inside a derelict republic ship that was left behind from a battle from during the clone wars and he left the planet to move to Tattoine. Once he established a safe place to do his secret cloning business and living arrangements, He made frequent trips to Mos Eisley and various other places where he conducted his business. On one of these business ventures to Mos Eisley, a Devaronian trader was trying to sale an arm that was frozen in carbonite and claimed it belonged to the acclaimed hero of the Republic, Anakin Skywalker. This intrigued him so after talking with this Devaronian trader, named Y'kar Dran, he found out that he needed the money to pay off a debt or be killed and Lt. Kovin offered him a deal for the arm which was to grow a clone of him within a year in which during this time, he offered him a safe place to stay safe from his troubles. He didn't tell him that this safe place was a cryo stasis pod that he gained from on of his earlier business ventures. He also gained a construction droid from before that took one of the Sparty cloning tubes, repaired it back and built 8 more sparty tubes to exact specifications resulting in a total of 10 tubes at the time he made his deal with the trader for Anakin Skywalker's severed arm from his duel with Count Dooku. Lt. Kovin released the severed arm from carbonite, sampled the DNA and retuned the arm to a cobonite freeze. During this time he already had 7 of of his sparty tubes currently growing clones which were of: 2 of Han Solo, 1of Boba Fett, 2 of Luke Skywalker, and 2 of Mace Windu from his mummified hand bought from a previous trade. This was why he only had 3 open sparty tubes, but he wanted to make at least 2 of Y'kar Dran the Devaronian trader, and 2 of Anakin Skywalker. He decided to stop one of the earliest pair's growth to make room for the new clones he was prepairing to start. Since he got Luke's DNA earlier than the others, he rmoved one of his clones which were now about 16 years old and their training an memory programs were still incomplete, but not by much. The 16 yr old Luke Skywalker clone was programmed with the name: Kovin Skywalker and he had been programmed to be a commando and pilot. When Kovin Skywalker was released he went to Mos Eisley where he stole a bounty hunter's ship and left Tattoine. Now Lt. Kovin was able to start the cloning process of 2 Anakins and 2 Y'kar Drans and continued his secret business deals. Meanwhile, Kovin Skywalker took his stolen bounty hunter ship to Coruscant where he was later discovered by Princess Leia and was asked to join the New Republic as a pilot since his age was too young to be a soldier. She also was curious as to how he came to be a Skywalker, but she did think that he looked like a younger version of her brother. Kovin told her about the secret cloning facility on Tattoine, hidden in a deep underground cavern and that was where he came from. By the time the New Republic sent a ship to Tattoine to destroy this facility which was a few months later, Lt. Ves Kovin was already gone leaving behind a commando team to make sure that no one could use anything else left behind that would lead them to him. The Republic was able to capture these men with minimal damage but after a while of fighting. Their helmets were removed revealing the faces of Han Solo (Ves Solo), Mace Windu (Koves Windu) and Boba Fett (Kordis Fett) but they finally admitted to being clones. The men were temporarily placed in a prison but soon were admitted to the military of the New Republic and became valued assets. Koves Windu had found out that his DNA came from a jedi council member which prompted him to learn how to become a jedi during his off-duty schedule. Ves Solo became the captain of his own republic ship as Kordis Fett became his first officer and both continued the search for the rogue Lt Kovin. Keela Windu (the other Mace Windu clone) became a self proclaimed Sith Lord after discovering an ancient sith holocron inside Lt. Kovin's vault at his new base and he learned everything it had to teach including light saber construction and how to corrupt kyber crystals to complete their weapon. Later Darth Keel (Keela Windu) and Master Koves windu get into a major light saber duel which ended up in Darth Keel's death and Koves left as severely damaged as Vader was before his reconstruction. Koves had similar armor as Darth Vader, but he was still a jedi and his armor was white. Master Luke Skywalker took 16 yr old Kovin Skywalker under his wing and taught him how to be a jedi while Leia and Han's children were being born and by the time Ben Solo came of jedi training age, Luke declared Kovin a jedi knight so that he could focus on Ben Solo's training. Luke did however give Kovin the holocron of Master Agen Kolar he found in one of Sideus' vaults to help finish his training. ua-cam.com/video/XudW9pt-SrA/v-deo.html
Having not yet read the legends Thrawn trilogy, this provided me with some of the knowledge I found, I was missing while reading "Survivors Quest". Perfect timing Glenn, thanks alot ;)
If Battlefront 3 and The Force Unleashed 3 had continued I bet Thrawn would've played a big part in future games since those games included Cloning Jedi and Thrawn had a cloned Jedi working for him, and that one had made a clone of Luke named Lu'uke.
Odd that a Joruus clone would have the same strength in the Force as the original despite having the requisite training... I guess the guy who came up with the idea didn't now how cloning actually works.
Hi. Well, I couldn't come up with any suitable feedback, other than this: Perfect. I love Thrawn but he made 2 major mistakes. A) he did not purge the warlords and consolidate power and loyalties. B) he should have also moved and secures more central worlds, not core worlds but ones wereby he would gain more or less a full coverage of information both on and in the under world of the galaxy. He would have better managed to carry out his plans, find and deal with Palpatines clone and well, rule the galaxy against the Vong. I personally would add these if I were him, yet, then the story would probably still end somehow as it did. I commend you on your faithful details. Keep it up and thank you too my friend - I truly enjoyed all the times I watched it!
Shouldn’t C’Baoth be pronounced more like Kah Bauth or Seh Bauth or with a silent A as in Kah Both or Seh Both? Seems to me that Baoth should be pronounced as one syllable.
WHAAAT?! That was AWESOME!!! So many things I didn't know. That's crazy C'Baoth essentially reappears. That guy was totally crazy! LOL Also, interesting to me that in Legends, Thrawn goes to Orinda, but in Canon he knows Arihnda. Just funny how things carry over in the stories. 😄 Loved this video SO MUCH! I love this series! Thanks for taking the time to put it together. 😊 Hope you have a great day!
Again love your videos but to put it bluntly THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS TOO LOUD lol please turn it down in the future so I can hear your voice better again really like your videos super awesome.
Thrawn is one of the few Star wars individuals I wanted to have a talk with and learn from. His is so smart in a way that is so beneficial in life. Not in the spiritual Jedi way but in a tactics way. He really would have been cool to have been able to talk to. Ask about Art and why he likes it, altho I believe he does because it's a trophy and is a remembrance to his foes and to keep the species alive. As well as ask how one may be able to learn methods behind his mental prowess. As well as ask about the Ciss. Idk so many things, I would be happy to serve under him since he is for the bigger picture.
Thrawn had multiple data raids done to find the mountain. It just so happened that this raid gave him the details he sought. He didn't know that the details were in this data raid, he pieced together information from several raids, and this last raid gave him the final details he needed to find Wayland. He said to Paelleon that the raid had given him the final piece to finding the Emperor's storage facility....... I've just watched the rest of your video... Thrawn already knew about the rebellions status through the galaxy via Delta source and Imperial sources. As i mentioned above he had been piecing information together from all the data raids he had ordered. You should really check the facts before releasing a video. If you don't believe me just read the book again, especially were Thrawn is playing with the data card.
Recently finished the legends trilogy and loved it. Really enjoy seeing it in a video that's very well done. Also love the soundtrack. Especially the opening. Great job all round
Uhhhhhhh, if a clone grew up 10 times faster in this new clone facility then would that not also mean they would become useless 10x faster as well? Your clone troops would be useful for like 1.5 years and then they would be useless......

Star Wars Reading Club i leik your new intro
Star Wars Reading Club I want all five thrawn novels.Do a in depth reviews of all of it I'll watch it 20 times good editing how u do it
Star Wars Reading Club I read the heir to the empire comic books in jail I took the staples out n traded them for cake
thrawn is the only strategist and non-force user whom i believe could have brought down palpatine, and the empire,
I feel you underestimate the power of the force lol
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Mon mothma brought down the empire...
Lol 😆
Keep up the good work 👏
Emperor Thrawn would of been amazing to see.
there should have been an Infinities story where he became the New Emperor.
I highly doubt that Thrawn wouldn't unable to be Emperor.
Disney making this stuff “legends” is sickening
Kids would have eaten the Expanded Universe content up like it was their last meal for eternity. But no, we needed true garbage fanfic that's only real purpose is to make quick money on ignorant casuals and children while subliminally implanting their wack ass agendas 💀💀💀
If Disney had stuck with the original canon they would have made boookoo bucks and the dummies would have only had half the work.

Basically, clones ended up on both sides. That kind of proliferation would worry many outer world citizens, I would think.
Also, Lucasfilm had little to do with that. It was the keeper of the Holocron, like Leland Chee, and publishers, I thought. Sue Rostoni also?
+Chris sonofPear I said Lucasfilm because Leland Chee and Sue Rostoni and other people like that work at and are a part of Lucasfilm.

Perfect timing Glenn, thanks alot ;)
this is so much more interesting then anything the new trilogy has to offer
Why did we dimiltarize in star wars seven?
If Battlefront 3 and The Force Unleashed 3 had continued I bet Thrawn would've played a big part in future games since those games included Cloning Jedi and Thrawn had a cloned Jedi working for him, and that one had made a clone of Luke named Lu'uke.
Odd that a Joruus clone would have the same strength in the Force as the original despite having the requisite training... I guess the guy who came up with the idea didn't now how cloning actually works.
Or Timothy Zhan was the first person to handle cloning in Star Wars.
what star wars novels do you recommend I read if I want to learn as much as possible about the chiss?
I will keep saying it. Thrawn would have been a better choice to fight what came then the new republic.
The Thrawn Triology were the first Star Wars books I read.
Can't wait till popcorn is ready....... it says "15 min" on the pack..........
You should have named this "The real sequel trilogy"
I enjoy your retelling of Thrawn's Reemerged and Almost Conquered the Galaxy! I eagerly await for part 3 of this series :-}
Great video! I love the Thrawn Trilogy. Im almost finished with the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
Shouldn’t C’Baoth be pronounced more like
Kah Bauth or Seh Bauth or with a silent A as in Kah Both or Seh Both?
Seems to me that Baoth should be pronounced as one syllable.
What, no "If not for meeee..."?
Khodexus Good, that was annoying.
Using the Clone facilities on Camino will be pointless because it almost bankrupt the Republic in Thrawn is already lacking in resources.
Thank you for this series! A shame he didn't have his lovely pet during Rebels finale, that would have been quite a troll move.
Welcome back, glad you're still alive
Thrawn canon or legends has always been a intresting character
Loved this video SO MUCH! I love this series! Thanks for taking the time to put it together. 😊 Hope you have a great day!
Apparently Thrawn also made multiple clones of Pelleaon, each with a different appearance :P
i wonder, are the chiss good at tactical and strategic planning or its just thrawn?
Gamer Id the chiss are no joke
its a wonder why they havent invaded known space...or kicked some yuuzhan vong butt
I like that new logo you're sporting. There's something rather comedic about Thrawn with a book.
Hmmn didn't Anakin do that maneuver in the clone wars tv series? If so that's an awesome reference
This should have been rebels season 5 lol
High quality content. Ezra should kill him in the canon when he has the chance but we know he won't.
This video was great time for me because I just started to re-read the thrawn trilogy
Dang. What a crazy Jedi!
I never wondered jow thrawn found palatine's cloning facilitys.
Again love your videos but to put it bluntly THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IS TOO LOUD lol please turn it down in the future so I can hear your voice better again really like your videos super awesome.
That first picture of C'Baoth almost looks like Alan Moore
Hey I know this one, yay 😄
Fuck yea, Thrawn used my favorite naval tactic.
Yay new Thrawn content!
I just finished reading these books, truly great reads.
This is interesting
Would have preferred you told the story as it was and not with the apologist edits to factor in Lucas messing everything up with the Prequels.
The audio book needs remastered
That.guy was bad
I cannot find episode 1 of the series.
**breaks his hand on this wall again**
BIRD
No "If not for meeeeee" here? :(
Thrawn had multiple data raids done to find the mountain.
Vader throws Palpatine down the Death Star main shaft: Congratulations, you destroyed the mini-boss! NOW COMES ALONG THE REAL EMPIRE MASTER!
"Therefore..."
Cbaoth was an absolute madlad
I remember reading those back in the early 90s. The wait for the third one to come out was UNBEARABLE!
Go Thrawn go!! That’s one that should’ve been in the “new Star Wars trilogy “. That would be badass. Thanks again for your show.
Is this Legend or Cannon?
Canon or non canon?
Non-Canon :)
Hope you enjoy the video Nathan!
It'll always be cannon in my heart.
Ah okay. Thanks! I definitely loved the video. Awesome story, would’ve loved to have seen more of Thrawn in SW Canon.
God-Emperor Filoni is surely going to put some awesome Thrawn stories into the new Resistance Series.
Recently finished the legends trilogy and loved it. Really enjoy seeing it in a video that's very well done. Also love the soundtrack. Especially the opening. Great job all round
Wow 🤩 awesome 😎
When exactly on the timeline does this take place? What year BBY?
Thrawn should have lead the First Order...not Snoke...
Perfect music for this video. Great work.
Thrawn made me root for the Empire. He seemed so confident and wise but also would refuse to put his men in unnecessary danger.
I forgot how cool those stories were. Its been ages since i read or even heard about jorrus and thrawn
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
ninjadino Zack 123456 hello there
@@EM-lz4rb general kenobi
@@ninjadino916 you are a bold one.
Please ecplain the rest of throwns campain
Thrawn put most sith to shame just look in at some art.lul
thank you for the song
I read that book
Amazing video
Data raids?
Nice vid
Awesome!
Yay! Thrawn!
Was is Thrawn ( The Goat) not in The Last Jedi?
Uhhhhhhh, if a clone grew up 10 times faster in this new clone facility then would that not also mean they would become useless 10x faster as well? Your clone troops would be useful for like 1.5 years and then they would be useless......
I like the maps of the galaxy.I wish the Dragon ball UA-camrs did good videos like u
I once swindled a family of midgets out of $5. Where's my video?
Thrawns didn't do any of that. That is all heretical. Disney is the only canon.
