I love how interactive the developers are with the community. They give updates nearly everyday & if these videos continue that would be awesome! I cannot wait until release, 5 days 10 hours remain!!
This is my favorite game I don't play. I still watch a lot of gameplay/streams of this game. I love the builds and environments . I really wish I enjoyed how the game controlled. Never cared for the mouse movement style so playing it myself is not for me. Keep up the good work! Even though I don't play, I really enjoy what you folks do with this game.
Thx GGG for this awsome game. I still try to get used to your community interaction. I have never seen anything like this before. I hope the Steam release will give you much more publicity so this amazing game can grow even further. I am looking forward to 1.0 so much, the timer in the Loginscreen is the hardest torture, seeing it everytime i play PoE. But so few days left :D.
Yay so much fun to see this series return once again! Congrats on the full release, GGG. It's been a great thing to see the community work with the devs for all this time to create an awesome game. :)
Great to have BOTW back again, yay! I used to love these as a new and unexperienced player back in closed beat'r. And i still do. You also have a real soothing voice Chris.. real smooth.. :)
Watching the health vial I am not convinced this endurance charge / immortal call trigger gem tactic is viable for hardcore but I can't wait to experiment with the triggers in general. The prospect of automating your utility spells with triggers and then gliding through levels with less maintenance sounds fantastic! I've played almost every day since open beta began; I can't recommend this game enough. These guys really know how to design an ARPG that stays interesting for a long time!
Among other things that I like about this series is how everything is explained in high details. Usually when I watch videos of ARPGs, I only get a feeling of confusion as spells flash by. Not in build of the week.
Thanks for putting this together it was awesome been waiting a long time for the BotW series to come back...Was also really awesome to see the end charges+immortal call combo in action I was going to try it out with my first char in nemesis :)
Great to see Build of the Week coming back! I have been playing this game a lot since Open Beta, and it is awesome! Definitley a must play for any fan of ARPG's. Looking forward to getting to grips with the new skill tree :-)
This is, hands down, one of the best games I have ever played. I don't understand how you guys managed to make it free. None of that pay to win BS either. Just a solid game. HOW?
This video made me so excited i didn't know if i should implode or explode with joy. reminds me a lot of the hammerdin pally from d2 which i used to love playing :D CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THE GAIMSE!
Just awesome! Thanks a lot for making this vid. Allthough you guys have enough work to do, you still offer such great service to the community. :) Ah and get well soon, Chris!
For a fair deal of players its actual true. Complexity is cool, but dont fool yourself, a ton of players will just look up builds and never build themself, as its really quite complex topic. But you are totally correct that this kind of complexity is totally cool , i just wanted to note that not everyone is getting a total hang on the systems, its a ton of stuff and quite difficult to get into it (thats why most come from D2/D3 or other ARPG games, they pretty much know what they do allready).
Its very clear from the preview it will only be possible with scion due to requiring 3 sections of the tree. the small details of the skill tree are not final but the major components (scion in center) such as other classes can not traverse directly through center will almost definitely be in the final version There is also a more recent version(but not final) of the tree released on reddit.
The fact that you need EB to run multiple aura's increases build diversity. And you will still be able to travel to classes on the opposite side of the tree but just not as efficiently. That could also increase build diversity considering players can't build all their classes the same way anymore.
I agree that the character shown had pretty good gear but conversely, it's not too hard getting 1k+ mana. CI builds have easily cleared the 1k+ mana barrier with dream frags/atziri's foible/peradus signet and have used more than 2 auras easily (purity/clarity/grace/discipline). There are also many reduced reserved mana nodes in the tree as well. Life builds always can use blood magic to cast their skills as well, putting all the % auras on their mana. There's many ways to build a character.
@GGG sth you should add to those showcases is putting a link to the passives tree in the description so people can take that on build up on those ideas for new builds, would be a nice feature for someone who doesn't know all passives out of his head
% auras can also be reserved even if you have 10 mana.. it will come down to which auras have the most priority.. in terms of survivability and damage.
No, all characters were converted to the standard league, and were given full skill respecs. All items were sent to your standard league stash in remove only stash tabs.
If he is sick, it's not surprising. He's been on the PR trail. Game journalists have many names for the debilitating plague you'll contract on this long, thankless path.
having eldritch battery gives him more mana to work with for the build and auras and grabbing mana shield makes up for not having the energy shield.... sounds pretty reasonable to me
It has been said that you wont be able to cut through the center at all actually =[ but its kind of exciting and it will make builds a lot more interesting instead of, "well... ill just got straight through!!! XD"
In fact they have nerfed sporkers, the shock stack only adds 30% damage. I also think they will lower the damage of spark at higher levels before the game launches.
I hope my char gets featured in the future Chris let us post our IGNs and you select a random one to feature in the next episode. My char is ShadowxLink
To be fair, the entire area leading up to dominus is difficult as well, and dominus as a boss has alot of abilities you need to avoid in any phase and hes meaty enough to promote some light grinding before fighting him. Hes alot harder than the fight with piety mostly because piety was chained to her gimmicks whereas dominus's gimicks support him.
Because the skill tree is constantly being modified by balance patches, such links would be futile. I've looked up older builds, only to find the skill-tree links lead to broken set-ups because even the most insignificant nodes having been modified. All you can hope to do is intuitively work out the build yourself.
You guys are definitly my favourite devs at this point. No bullshit, just talking to players and making game as good as you can.
I love how interactive the developers are with the community. They give updates nearly everyday & if these videos continue that would be awesome! I cannot wait until release, 5 days 10 hours remain!!
I love the synergy between Spectral Throw and movement skills. So excited that we're getting close to release!
After 9 years in development, It's worth the wait!
Congrats to Chris and GGG on the upcoming release of 1.0.0. I wish there were more devs like you guys.
Somehow the fact that a new class was added totally escaped my notice, how exciting! :D
Looks like the "Build of the week" series is gonna be the "Build of the month"
This is a genius display of character building. Spectral Throw has me hyped.
Yay so much fun to see this series return once again! Congrats on the full release, GGG. It's been a great thing to see the community work with the devs for all this time to create an awesome game. :)

This game has progressed so much. Great work GGG!
This is, hands down, one of the best games I have ever played. I don't understand how you guys managed to make it free. None of that pay to win BS either. Just a solid game. HOW?
Scion and Spectral throw are tons of fun, loving it.
I think Grinding Gear can create a great MMORPG open world with this content now, this game is really awesome too
This video made me so excited i didn't know if i should implode or explode with joy. reminds me a lot of the hammerdin pally from d2 which i used to love playing :D
CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THE GAIMSE!
The graphics looks so great. Can't wait for the release! Good job GGG!
OMG, the D2LOD feels, they are coming back! OH nostalgia at its finest.
what a blast from the past
Just awesome! Thanks a lot for making this vid. Allthough you guys have enough work to do, you still offer such great service to the community. :)
Ah and get well soon, Chris!
YES YES YES !!!
This "serie" was needed and it has been delivered ;D
More please :D

I drooled a little over some of the gear he had!
Nice build Neonspyder, can't wait to see more. Might try this out if the changes to Auras hurts my idea for 1.0
Not surprised either! Finally a worthy successor to D2!
The fact that you need EB to run multiple aura's increases build diversity. And you will still be able to travel to classes on the opposite side of the tree but just not as efficiently. That could also increase build diversity considering players can't build all their classes the same way anymore.
i missed this series so much :D
Thanks for the video, Chris!
Really enjoyed it!
This build looks really fun, I'm for sure going to try something like this out
Looks like fun, very excited about the full release.
I agree that the character shown had pretty good gear but conversely, it's not too hard getting 1k+ mana. oh man im so happy that his is back cant wait till the game comes out
Get well soon, Chris!

I still cant believe that GGG managed to create such a great game, im looking forward to playing the release :)
this is gonna be fucking awesome cant wait for this release!!!!!!!!!! been playing for 18 months and still not tried of this game one bit!
This build is awesome. Ill have to watch it a few times to understand. Looks epic and fun :)
This guy's gear is absolutely ridiculously good and incredibly hard to obtain.
The perks of being a dev
YeY happy to see Build Of The Week again
spectral throw looks awesome
So stoked!!! I love you guys!
Rest in peace BM keystone :(
was a nice time with you tho
I know right? They're crazing to support and improve their game so much...
% auras can also be reserved even if you have 10 mana.. it will come down to which auras have the most priority.. in terms of survivability and damage.
ITS BACK BABY!
Ah yeah im so glad this is back!
GG chris i just bought a divine pack to support you guys
ur doing an amazing job thanks for that
I was hoping that the map device will have animation like this. Nice
Nice... missed these videos.
No, all characters were converted to the standard league, and were given full skill respecs. All items were sent to your standard league stash in remove only stash tabs.
Lightning resistance really helps with his templar phase, but he deals basically nothing but physical and chaos damage in his final phase.
If he is sick, it's not surprising. He's been on the PR trail. Game journalists have many names for the debilitating plague you'll contract on this long, thankless path.
Eldritch battery, and can only use hatred and clarity... Oh damn those new auras seem cool :D
wow this spectral thing looks ammazing!
having eldritch battery gives him more mana to work with for the build and auras and grabbing mana shield makes up for not having the energy shield.... sounds pretty reasonable to me
Slower projectiles is probably gonna be interesting with Spectral throw hitting multiple times.
I CANNOT wait for the patch.
This has always been the case when you solo with short allocation on. You only see rares and maps for a limited time
It has been said that you wont be able to cut through the center at all actually =[ but its kind of exciting and it will make builds a lot more interesting instead of, "well... ill just got straight through!!! XD"
Wow orchard looks sick.
oh lol i only read that scion class was available to ppl who completed the last difficulty so i thought it was implemented alrdy, thanx for the info
as a ranger itll just take you 3 more points into strength nodes (keystone moved a little to the left)
This game is now entering god tier.
He did, he mentioned it in the Reddit post
yay build of the week is back :D
Oh my my my, it's fucking finally back! YEAH! MORE of this please!
I love this series!!!
Its an item that allows you to clone any gear item in game however the cloned item can not be modified in anyway.
I also got the divine pack, looking much forward to my metal chaos orb keychain or whatever its called. :D
yes we waited for this
welcome to path of scion
Oh, God...return of the Hammerdin...
THE HAMMERDIN RETURNS
That map device looks amazing O_O
It will be, as it is now, free.
welcome back, botw!
Thanks chris! you are the man.
yay more builds of the week :3
no thank you chris i love this game so much
Man, just imagine what the buzzsaw builds would look like now if ST still shotgunned O_o
Descent league is my favorite!!! Go GGG!!
Your voice overlay is not quite loud enough over the background music. Can't wait for the release!
Can't wait!
yes, i've played the game and know how much of a problem desync can be, but, it's still pretty damn good for something you don't have to pay for.
Great vid guys.. and an awesome game!
He doesn't need one. When he wants a stat or an item, he can just give it to himself.
Dat intro! Kreygasm!
i seriously want to mess around with those trigger gems :D so funny stuff in my head now ;-)
Finally! I love these!
You should put a link with the build and also put the skills here.
Because the skill tree is constantly being modified by balance patches, such links would be futile.
I've looked up older builds, only to find the skill-tree links lead to broken set-ups because even the most insignificant nodes having been modified. All you can hope to do is intuitively work out the build yourself.
I recommend waiting for the patch and playing it before commenting about things you don't know anything about.
