- Johnny B" Bukowski's music / fight scene from episode one of Misfits of Science.
The show aired 1985 and had a strong following but was unable to compete with "Dallas."
There were 16 total episodes, only 15 of which aired in the U.S.
When I saw this when I was a kid, I thought this was the coolest thing ever.
you're not the only one believe me
Still cool in 2024 !😁
Bringing back the 80's memories when i was a kid
I searched for decades for a guy who sang johny be good while shooting light from his hands. Finally, tonight I found it wasn't just a dream.
I've been there. I still have a couple that I think must have been commercials that I haven't found.
I should have thought of it when you commented. Reddit has a sub for things like that. [TOMT{ Tip Of My Tongue, for posing questions exactly like that. You would probably have the answer in less than an hour.
@@looniper3551 thanks
Same here!!
Memory is a funny thing; I vividly remember this scene and Johnny blasting at the troops as a kid, but I didn't remember the cryo guy in the suit at all! Strange what gets locked into your brain. I loved "Johnny B. Goode" as a kid, so this scene with a guy who had super-hero-esque powers stuck with me, but until rewatching this clip, I'd have sworn that there was no frozen guy... and I'd have been wrong! Thanks for posting blast from the past!
I'll have to rewatch it again soon. I don't remember why eating chocolate knocks Beef out.
I know he thought the woman was Amelia Airhart....
But yeah, this scene and the one with him speed-running and getting shot in the leg, are the ones that stuck in my head the most from the series.
I used to watch this pilot episode like it was its own movie when i was a kid.
Same here. I watched every episode as they aired and every time I knew of them airing later... which sadly wasn't often.
Stephen 1982 same
Same
It was like a dream about a world that really existed somehow. The 80's were like that. These kinds of movies n shows always felt like the real life that we were so close to being in somehow. Much more realistic than say the marvel movies now.
Ditto!!
I used to adore this show as a little one!
When I was a kid I always wanted to have those pair of high cut sneakers thinking those are the key to his electric power. LOL
Yes and you can find them now on ebay!!
A nice blond with the power of Flash and Raiden, of course I was hooked on 😁.
He was my favourite character of this show.
Best scene ever 😍
the most 80's clip on the internet
A Team has Mr T. Knight Rider has K,I,I,T. & The Misfits of Science has Johnny B
Me encantaba la serie , gratos recuerdos
This is AMAZING!
Because I liked this series, all of its characters were funny, Dr. Hayes, Dr. Lincoln, Johnny B, Gloria, even Richard. Too bad the series had a short life.
The biggest problem with this was the pilot was so good that it was hard for the series to follow it up.
It was one of the last serialized shows for a reason.
Expecting too strongly for the viewer to have seen prior episodes made for a dwindling viewership.
That's why the more episodic format came back into fashion, and the soft hybrid version we have today became the standard.
A title / lead-in gives most relevant information and context per-episode fills in the rest, but prior viewership enhances it all.
That and the fact is was up against Dallas.
What the MCU wishes it could have been.
Exactly. The reality of this beats every second of the marvel films. Most of the 80s beats marvel.
Classic!!!!
Johnny be goood 🙌🏼💯
Where can i get dvd of that plays in us format
Wow...
Was this on DVD?
+Michael Bowie It was only released on DVD in Germany(2008) and France.
The release in Germany included both German and English tracks though.
To Loonier,
This show first aired in 1985! I know this because I met Mark Thomas Miller aka Johnny B in early 1986 at the Auto Show in WNY. Mid way through the first season. I have pictures to prove my meeting if necessary. They are at my mom's. PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE POSITING.
@@TK9960 Correct. I don't know why I typed in 2005. I must have been thinking about the DVD release (2008) and mixed them up.
Мученики науки
I remember the special effects looking better
So do I but to be fair, I've not seen this since the late 80s. The general standard was a LOT lower!
It was in SD on a CRT tv dude.
To be fair the effects weren't bad for the 80s
Cheesy campy cringe
Of the Best Kind!
