I'm aware they're nationally accredited but is uopeople regionally accredited in the USA already?
In February 2014 UoPeople received accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In addition, UoPeople has been recognized as a Candidate for Accreditation by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). 💜

Is this a legit university? And are you regionally accredited.
Hi Pink, yes we are. We're presently nationally accredited by the DEAC; though we've also applied for regional accreditation with WASC, as soon as we have a decision from WASC, we will post an update on our website www.uopeople.edu You may visit the US department of education's website at ed.gov and click 'college accreditation'. When the new page loads, click 'look up a school', then type 'University of the People' into the search box that comes up and search to confirm our accreditation status.
