@kollak01 yeah right so if there is no trottle theres no air fuel oil more than idle feed so when you blip the trottle you dont only lubricate you also cool the engine by letting cold air and gas mixture trough the engine:)
@kollak01 It's for the oil to gas ratio. By blipping the throttle you're burning up all the extra oil you need to at low speeds and rpm's so you don't foul your plugs. I hope this helped
hey mike, I also use to ride a super stinger back in the day, and last sled I owned was a 1980 Yamaha SRX 440, fast then, nothing like the new sleds of today the top dog sleds will do over 120 the old top dog sleds would do maybe 90 on a good day, and the ride is like night and day, I just got a MachZ 800 that isn't like the new body styles but will walk the dog on a older sled, and will get smoked by newer sleds , what a shift in times as for what snowmobiling has come to, sleds are like cars, they keep getting faster and more technology pretty sweet in my book
@Dalabackable on another note why would you have to blip the gas like that? i mean a two stroke dirt bike is premix and you dont need to blip the gas on a dirt bike. wouldnt the residual oil left behind be enough when it doesnt have a load on it. (as in when you let off the gas).
Plus remember there are two different models. IQ600R and then the IQ600RR. The 'R' is a factory race set up that runs on race fuel. The 'RR' is a dialed back trail friendly sled. If you are looking for top notch performance the 'R' is perfect to start off with.
so basically all of your responses are pointing to he doesnt have it jetted right. if there is air going through the carbs (on decel or accel) there will be oil going through as well cause its mixed with the gas. so should i blip the throttle on my weed whip then?
@kollak01 proabably because the premix ratio is too rich or too lean for the jetting in it, or vise versa, too rich of jets or lean for the premix ratio. it may have a stumble or hesisation on the bottom end from being too lean so he tries to keep the R's up. if you ride a 2 stroke though, throttle blip, whether on a sled or bike is pretty normal haha
@XLVrider1 i have a race sled and i dont "ruin" spark plugs. same plugs since i got it. and how would you be "ruining" plugs? fouling them out? if so that would mean your sled is not setup right.
Damn I love the IQR, there so sick. this video makes me want to pick one up as a second sled. I have a 10 assault right now and I love it, but Ive always loved the IQR! Looks like such a fun sled
121" in this clip...Now it´s 151". Had some problems last winter so I didn´t get so much filming material, put I will see if I can make something out of the material I have.. Next winter this sled will rip(with all of the neccesary mods made), and I also have another pretty cool sled project going on!
Clutch work, Head work, pipes, gearing. You wont be a 700 or 800 unless you put a 700 or 800 in it BUT you can mod a 600 to be very nasty. But remember, the more you mess with, the more maintenance and problems you're going to have to do and deal with because reliability goes straight out the window. A rule of thumb to go by....
@kollak01 it's cuz when it's oil injected it get's oil all the time ,controlled by the engine rpm,but if u premmix it it only get oil when it gets fuel .Which is when u throttle .so if u let off the gas it will not get fuel OR oil ,and it could seeze up or damgae u're engine, but if u pump the gas like this guy it sure gets oil... hope this helped :)
@kollak01 I did a google search:.."Most 2 stroke engines are only lubricating the engine when the throttle is being used! If you are going down a hill, even though you may be coasting, you should give the throttle an occasional blip to inject some lubrication into the engine... " why are tundrallitheshit bliping the gas if not?he has to do it for some reason!? and when i was trying my neighbours honda cr250 he told me to blip the gas and not do heavy engine breaking, cause it had premixed gas..

love how the iqr stands up when hes going up the hill i want an iqr sooooo bad man, great video btw

3:25 what a good friend.

blipping keeps your 2 stroke engine clean, holding it at lets say 5000 6000 rpm at those slow speeds forms more carbon gunk in your valves

is this the sound with non waterproof case door?
@kollak01 blips are better, in a way 2 strokes dont like to run at the same throttle
What kind of jacket and helmet does the guy on the assault have?
Damn nice video! Where u from?
@kollak01 Guess? could it be that he shoots a lil bit extra gas into the cylinders that lubricates? and cools
Damn I love the IQR, there so sick. this video makes me want to pick one up as a second sled. I have a 10 assault right now and I love it, but Ive always loved the IQR! Looks like such a fun sled
is this the 960 gopro?
Älskar när assulten kommer upp utan problem :D
how do you like it trail wise not to much problems ?
how much fore that snowmotocross
Those IQ's are sick
Dokkasberget? x)
Awesome sled!
@TundraIIistheshit
why does thqat require you to blip the gas so much?
where's this place?
And that's also how you get pre-mature wear on the clutch
Just bought a iqr 600...any mods to make it close to a 700 or a 800?
@TundraIIistheshit what happens if u dont blip the throttle
Why is Denmark not Sweden?!
need too tighten ur limiter strap. looks frustrating not being able too climb a little hill.. sick ride though
Thanks!
I live in sweden..I blip the gas alot because I drive premix and not oil injected.
@69SENTRA
yeah these guys do not understand if the sled is tuned right you can runn it however you want.
Sorry Johny snowcrosser, I never knew you were a mechanic. Please inform me on what I'm wrong about?

damn...lol you two are honestly living my dream!

@TundraIIistheshit not to mention it sounds fuckin awesome!
Nice video. nice place to ride.
Well, take it for what it's worth. Pre mature wear will happen when you ride in a bush or tight area. Not much you can do about it.
I know this is a stupid question but I rode a old scorpion 440 how faster are the new sleds ?
I blip the throttle to keep the clutch in a low speeds...
I would try this on my 500 xcsp, just because I love riding.
At least when I blip the throttle I have control over the sled
är den till salu nu tror ja hitta den på blocket!
The sound of polaris
@mooseoftoose he's says why in the description
blip bloppin is just a human thing
POW POW!!
@CanadianSnowmachiner i do that aswelll with my old blizzard i'll post a video response
nice sled
@97nicke fint, jag som kör :)
LYNX are BEST!!!
Garanterat en norrlänning
who cares if he blips the throttle!! I blip mine but that is just to help spool the turbo up faster...
I mean planning to "buy"
damn
assault is the shit!
goodjob getting it stuck lol jk
Get a job. Buy one. Problem solved.
what kind of BS is that?, think you'd better learn about sleds alittle more
