Hey everyone! Just a reminder that we are doing a charity drive towards rehabilitating victims of child sex trafficking. Lee is going to a HEMA event held by Richard Marsden and John Patterson of the Phoenix Society, and is attempting to raise funds for the charity. If you would like to help donate, you can go here - www.gofundme.com/lee-smiths-attempt-to-win-at-giving
Or if you'd like more information about what we're doing, check out our video on the subject - ua-cam.com/video/Ch11v50af64/v-deo.html
Thank you! Any amount helps :)

Excellent review, Lee and Nicole. I've been a student of the tomahawk myself for almost 3 years, and I agree this book is an invaluable resource for virtually any single hand weapon art. I'll keep trainaing with Steve Huff, fighting Robin every chance I get, and praying for a knife n' hawk tournament.

If you like his work, you're going to LOVE James Keating's work. I highly recommend you look at him and his student Pete Kautz. Both have material on the Bowie knife, and I know Keating has a couple of sources on the tomahawk as well.

    I have a few questions:
    1) Are this techniques useful against opponent with shield or they were build against opponent only with single handed\two handed(spear) weapon in mind?
    2) If it's possible could we see some of this techniques with axe on this channel in motion?
Big thanks in advance, I did appreciate technique with Halberd I found on this channel, so I was hoping to see something similar but with axes.

You could actually mention that the amazon is a ref link. Just cuz i'd think that more people would be buying stuff through it if they knew it.

Ax fighting is almost entirely a lost art judging from the lack of material out there.

Yes, but it's not an art that can't be reinvented.

I think it depends on how you use the tomahawk. Because you can hook limbs and control them. And then once you move them to where you have a weak spot, you can swing with a very effective chop. I would pick a tomahawk over a knife, also because of its reach.
      But im no expert

Axe Brah all depends on the warrior themselves. The Stamford Bridge Berserker clearly knew how to use an axe properly, but obviously not many are that skilled
