Nice video. What has been your experience with the battery life on these units? Do they still hold a pretty good charge after 1 year of using them for events?
You were spot on with your review- they're not as bright as the maxi. Also have Rick send you a generic dongle transmitter and connect the IR4 with your Ape Labs connect via DMX.
@@AaronStrawn yep. I used it that way first time last weekend. Connected a donner ( Beamz in the UK) transmitter into the W-app. Set to red or any colour you want basically as long as you set the same colours on the IR4’s. Set to 127 (i think) for 6 Chanel mode and used the ape external DMX control on the phone APP. Toggle it on the APP and boom. Now your phone / w-app is fully controlling the IR4’s and you get all the APE lush colours. Much much better(except for some reason the warm white). Great as you can have all your APE on one scene and the Both lights on another. Or app together of course.
Yes you can use them with Ape Labs connect with a Donner. I've put my Sticks on group 2 and the IR4s on Group 1, 10 channel mode and it works out the box
These have wireless dmx so whatever the master does the rest will do. This version the sound mode the master will do its thing and the rest will follow.
@@djstreamtv I have the old ape lab app model, and I use the Rockville transmitter , the ape lab app have a DMX connection, a app settings give you the option to enable the dmx connection, believe me, love it, and I can used the ape lab cans with this light as the same time,
I got the mark 1's They are really nice. I just wish I could change the wireless channel on them and the DMX address. I already have 24, so I may purchase 24 of these so I can use two different addresses.
Great build and price but the colors from the remote suck. No purple:( Got a lot of summer brides that want purple! By the way love your channel! You’re funny as hell and informative. Thanks!
You're right. Only a handful of prime colors on the remote. I think you gotta use the app or click the actual light to get purple. Unless there is a way to just cycle through the colors. Thanks bro, appreciate that!
Aaron. They’re IR not RF. rf is Ape IR (infa red) you gotta point at it. I’ve just got a Beamz (Donner ) dongle to use with my Ape W-app and now control them with my Ape labs lights. The stock colours are pretty naff and no lush colours that Ape do hence the wapp route. They work great with that. I got an 8 case to go with my Ape 5 cans 10 coins 2 maxis and 4 sticks and other shit i don’t need 😂 keep up the good work 🇬🇧🇺🇸
I really want a set of these lights but the bulky power adapter has me hating this company…for the love of god why can’t it just come with a power cord like my Rockwedges. What a way to limit space 😬
@@AaronStrawnyeah that’s my main gripe so I’m prob gonna get the Rockville 6rf’s cause the Rockville Best Par 60 will sync up perfectly with the Rockwedges too which is how i run wireless dmx and best of all they have standard power cables.
No, nothing dangerous about how you’re plugging those in.l (I’m an electrician). Those draw very little power each. I’d make a adapter that can handle all the lights and make a cord with enough outputs. It would be way simpler. I use similar lights to those and run them off soundswitch.
i'm sooo with you on the light point, sound is important, light is just yeah also there.
Great video. I bought 4 of the tubes and love them so far! I’m an ape guy too and I’m holding off on buying the both IRs for a bit!
dude, you're hilarious, and not in an annoying way. keep it up!
Thanks bro!

Probably hands down the best review of anything I've seen...lol!
Thanks!

Can you make the color pink in static? I would love to see all the colors you can do.
Nice review... very entertaining lol
Keep'em coming.
Thanks!
Bro! LMAO you have me rolling in the office! Your music mode Tourette's haha! Loud AF.
lol
You light up my life
I have that affect on people lol
Do you know that you can use this with the ape lab connection and the app too
Wait…WUT???
@@AaronStrawn yes, I’m not a DJ, I’m a photographer, but also a curious George, and it works

IR or RF...idk. If I point the remote away from the light, nothing happens. That's RF right?
The opposite. RF is radio frequency, and travels around the room. IR is infrared, so like a basic TV remote that needs to be pointed at the TV.
Do these communicate with each other and coordinate in music mode like Ape Labs?

lol dude that master/slave mode joke was crazy 😂
I survived it!
I hope you have better luck with the remotes that I had with Rockville
Remotes are working great, now that I understand what IR is (lol) I got them master/slaved and they’re talkin
The sound mode can you make them all the same colors, not just doing their own thing individually.

Is it possible to run these in conjunction with the ape labs sticks/maxis? If so, how is that possible?
I believe so- @djlostax figured that out. Check his channel
How much should a DJ charge per light for uplighting for a wedding or corporate event?
I've seen ranges. Some do $25/light some chage $800 for 6. I charge $300 for 12
Thank you brother, I really appreciate your response. ✊🏾
Hey what type of mic stand do you have attached to your workstation?
this is the one I have on my desk- amzn.to/3WwGRrd
@@AaronStrawn thank you.
How do you charge them? Or know they are charging?
They come with individual power supplies. Light is red on the charger and turns green when they are done
How long do the batteries last?
Average usage is said 8-9 hours
Lv your song! LOL
Not bad huh??
Primary Secondary verbiage doesn’t work. Master Slave mode is still the most accurate way to describe system configurations. #uncancelled

The Chinese copied the Germany lights. Ape labs
