I remember when 1320 started to gain traction, pun intended, and I was so excited watching your videos. Now seeing Cleetus grow from 1320 is crazy, time really flies!
Maddy fits into the scene perfectly fine, looks like Cleetus abducted a librarian and she is so happy about that, the more recent videos with her in them show her enthusiasm and support for Garrett and Cleetus, and she is bright, bubbly and refreshing. Very cool that Cleetus has a nice one.

Cleetus probably could make himself be a lawyer but his soul couldn’t be as filled with joy. He seems to me to be just one of those people who are born for excitement and pushing the limits of vehicles, probably other things too but we only see the things that he makes go fast. He also seems to be born for stardom.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again: thank you for choosing to refrain from inappropriate language while filming. I personally wouldn't be offended, but by keeping it clean, you're being a great role model for young boys and girls all over the world. Parents know they can turn on one of your videos, and not have to worry about a rogue f-bomb. Also, it's refreshing to see you guys have such a positive attitude, especially when things go wrong. FWIW, my dad ran a production company from the mid 90s up until he passed last year. He did everything end-to-end...just like you guys, from concept to execution, and doing all the distro afterwards to physical media. Doing daily videos and knowing how many angles you need, B roll to sift through, checking over your work over and over (and over) looking for edits, checking the feel clip to clip, making sure you assemble the timeline in a way that’s sensible without blowing the surprise, doing custom bumpers for projects, doing the graphics for each new clip, it all adds up. Hats off for putting such a solid production together for a whole month. Far from easy to do -right-, and it’s more than commendable.

Man, I've been here a long time. I remember all the C7 exhaust stuff, the giant balloon on the leased Ram. Even letting grandma drive the Bald Eagle Machine. Even the lawnmower in the ZR1 on 1320. I'll say 1 thing, I'm 50 yo, I've been through some stupid shit in my life, most recently having the Corona,for 23 days, and my Father dying from it on mothers day. But theres always been one thing that never failed to make me feel better and that's your videos. I know you wont read this, but you make a lot of people happy, young man. So thank you for making such a good decision. Here's to much more happiness.

Two things: I’m a college professor and I can tell you that I’d much rather have students that really want to be there and see it as helping them achieve their goals. So good for you for leaving school to work towards your goals. Second, you don’t have to feel obligated to share your personal life with the public. Taking care of your relationships and family is so important. I think it is noble to shield your girlfriend from the wack jobs that lurk on here. It’s totally cool to compartmentalize your life, especially if that protects those you love. Good luck man. We appreciate your hard work.

Wow! Of all the videos to miss!! I was around long before this but honestly it’s difficult for me to keep up during the month of Freedom. Watching this answered so many questions for me. Plus with the retrospective perspective 3 years later, it was amazing.

I dropped out of college, then much later returned and went to law school. Your dream was perishable and you are pursuing it. Law school will (hopefully) always be there and you'll find there are a lot of people who dropped out, chased the perishable dream then went back. Good for you, even better for when you do become a lawyer, your experiences now will form the backbone of your future successes.
Me. I dropped out two months ago and am taking steps to go back this Fall. I would advise folks to ignore the negativity at school. Focus on being the best they can be.

I remember watching your first videos. I remember when you took your girlfriend car shopping, with your Mom and Dad. I remember because I was laying in a hospital bed recovering from an amputation of my left leg. I was just getting into UA-cam and you put a huge smile on my face, when a smile, at the time was pretty hard to come by. I was building a 67 El Camino drag car at the time, so our common intrest kept me watching. I have been a regular at your site, since I have had 17+ ensuing surgeries. As time, and all my funds blew past me, I sold everything near and dear to me to keep up with my medical bills. I had to sell the car's engine to pay bills, which broke my heart since I built it myself. I sold everything but my 1/2 finished Elco. I see, in you, the love for racing. I see me, in you when you are racing Leroy, especially. I want you to know, you have helped keep my dream alive, that someday soon, I will be on the track again, doing it...for Cleetus...and Holley (I love that sweet dog).

I’ve never been in your situation with the loss of a limb. I’m sure it must be mind numbing .
I do know that if you put your trust in Jesus that you can get through all of this .
I know that it must be heart breaking to lose your engine,
but I’ve seen guys on UA-cam that were double amputees that not only built their hot rod but raced it as well.Be encouraged and keep a positive outlook and don’t let go of you dream or the Elco.

@@allanpolk2681 Thank you Allan. It is hard. I have never given up. I work as much as I can(I am currently studying CAD/CAM), but it seems no matter how hard I try I end up on the operating table. I think what makes all this extra difficult is that my younger years I was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and lifted weights very regularly (even between operations). As a matter of fact, I worked my way through college as a Hollywood stuntman. I worked even after I lost my leg. I was nominated by the Academy of Motion Pictures for "Most Spectacular Sequence in Film." I was extremely charitable and helped some very big stars get the start. Did it come back around? No. But, to no avail with a total of 39 surgeries, two helicopter crashes, a chemotherapy overdose and chronic pain... I think I am cursed. I raced shifterkarts with one leg and one season won every race I entered except one and won two national events. Still, I lost everything(except my beloved El Camino). Right now, my heart aches.
Cleet, bro, I don't imagine you'll ever read this, but this video hit me straight in the feels. When your channel was taking off with the C7, I had just had a pretty serious motorcycle accident. With the little bit of money I got out of it, I decided to buy a used car off of craigslist instead of getting another bike. I didn't know a damn thing about cars at the time, so I didn't know that the E30 I bought was pretty much ready to be made into soup cans. This channel and others like it drove me to learn more, better myself, and realize that that car was something I could save. Working on that car no joke pulled me out of a state of depression that was leading to some bad places.
This is extra right-in-the-chest because I also dropped out of college to do what I loved, and it's probably the best decision I ever made. To the whole team: thank you guys for working so hard to get where you are now. You're helping people in ways you might not be aware of. Do it for Dale.

Idea: neighbor gets “stolen” prior to some neighbor-focused scene at FF and y’all hear it in the distance and follow the noise to the track.. neighbor is being absolutely flogged drifting the figure eight.. when the tires finally blow, the driver emerges (queen/princess/duchess mcfarland) triumphantly.. cleeter acts like he doesn’t know who she is but makes some kind of epic comment like “brothers, I don’t know who that thief is but she done stole my heart more than neighbor” and then a relevant segue into the formal introduction. This is the most honest legit vid I had seen in years. I love the history and love for your family.
I remember the exhaust whistles and duck calls in the exhaust. I also remember the balloon hooked up to the ProCharger on your truck.
But do you remember him laying down on the ground of a parking lot, praising Chevrolet's as Cleetus for some of the very first times?? lol That's when he made the character, even came up with the name on the spot, as a joke. Now look at the channel. Wild.

Mate, I'm just finishing my law school in 3 weeks - had to study due to spine injuries. Have an electrical trade, and played with cars since I was 16 (now 33), had my first Barra Ute in 2007. Great subject! And right toward the end I realized I should stop watching car videos and get back to a class I'm taking online so I can work from home. The car thing is super addictive; I've got several myself; and I spend a lot of time watching car vids, but it's cutting into my online class time and I'm up against a wall with regard to deadline. Sometimes I think about starting my own YT car channel, and that'll probably happen at some point because it just sounds like so much fun, but there are only 24 hrs in a day, so I think the one word you used in your video that really stood out for me was: *PRIORITIES*. That's ALWAYS what EVERYTHING is all about. Great story; it was really great hearing it. You're ticking all the check-boxes. You were going to succeed no matter what you chose to do, so I'm glad you chose to do what you love. You'll never regret it and no has to tell you what a ton of support you have. Keep up the great work and always be thinking about the future.
