I don’t know how to think of this. Maybe Benji had a feeling that Victor was into him. But since Victor was straight as far as Benji knew,He probably dismissed those feelings as him projecting his own feelings for Victor on to Victor. I think it’s pretty clear that Benji had feelings for Victor ever since he sang “call me maybe” at the coffee shop concert.

I do feel like the second season has to have more drama for it to be realistic. For example, the last scene where he comes out, it would be really weird for the dad to be suddenly really accepting. Or Mia who is clearly really upset and, I suppose, doesn't accept it right away. In real life, these things would definitely happen and I do think the show needs to address these situations accordingly.
i feel like the family is not gonna turn on him but there's going to be a lot of tension. also with mia and probably lake too.

Mia and Lake are probably going to be against him for a bit (understandably so, he cheated and broke Mia's heart) and Felix will probably try to do damage control for the whole situation
