Docks, harbors and ship yards can look sleepy. The size of ships can hide the people working the machinery to load or off load. Even the trucks with trailers at the docks look small next to the ships. I’d like to learn more about the Miss J Vita hybrid.
Can you in some future video research the history of the rail network running from the main line throughout the docks. The tracks still seem to be in reasonable condition and I believe there is a restoration society based there.
Hi Chris. You mentioned a scrapyard at Sharpness, and then pointed out an old sailing ship. Is that the intended fate of that ship - to be scrapped? I sincerely hope this is not the case, so if you have any information concerning her, I wouls love to know more.
I can understand your thoughts. No. the ships you see outside of the shipyard are not for scrap, simply they now look beyond repair. Rumour is that there maybe a byer for the sailing ship, keeping our fingers crossed.
Nice to see small ship yard busy keeps the weeds down and the body busy

Yes, I learnt that the hybrid can be connected to shore electricity and all will work from that, but the ship has yet to try this out.

Hi Roy. You are correct, there is a rail preservation society currently working on the docks railway.
