  • When we talk about boxing, we immediately remember those who became champions! Looking back at the heavyweights of the last decade of the 20th century, names like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and the Klitschko brothers come to mind. However, they weren't the only ones delivering spectacular fights and dominating their opponents. Some boxers came incredibly close to winning a championship title and demanded respect from everyone without exception. One such boxer was the Samoan-born David Tua.
    Tua, possessing a physique typical of Polynesians, was not tall but had an athletic build. This largely compensated for his lack of height and reach, and his leaping left hook made many, including the famous Lennox Lewis, tremble in fear. Throughout his professional career, Tua fought 59 bouts, winning 52, with 43 ending in knockouts. Broken bones, agonizing pain, and deep slumber-that's how one can describe the power of this boxer. But why did Tua never reach the pinnacle of boxing, and where did he draw his strength from? You'll learn about this and much more in this episode as we fully immerse ourselves in the history of the Samoan monster and witness the most terrifying knockouts of this beast.

      He ducked holyfield and fought Carl Williams then lost to Douglas. He paid Lewis to not fight him then avoided Lewis untill he had no choice. He didn't want to fight mercer. And didn't want to fight foreman. Oh and he was always scared of holyfield

      Tua would of rocked him . Mercer would also have rocked tyson. These guys were some of the best of Mike's era. Bowe Morrisson etc all fights Mike never had.

    Click bait by lying! There is no statement by Tyson, real or otherwise. Much less a fight. The actual video is nothing to do with the title, won't be back.

    Tua was very impressive and could take a punch too. Tyson missed out on many great fights with Bowe, tua , Ike Ibeabuchi, mercer, Morrisson etc. Its why I cannot rate him .

    Tyson would have crushed him.
    Tyson in his prime was wsy to fast

    • @kek283
      @kek283 22 дні тому

      They both can slug but Tua had an undeniable great chin. But Tyson has incredible handspeed. So I'm thinking that Tua might catch Mike with a good shot. So between Tua and Prime Mike, I'll say Mike Tyson by Decision.

      Prime tyson, had insane hand speed, ko power in both hands, crazy footwork, loads of combos.
      Those that got into a slug fest with 80s tyson, got knocked out by tyson.
      Those that hugged tyson lasted longer

    • @kek283
      @kek283 22 дні тому

      @markwright5223 True, most of opponents had to clinch with Mike. But in Tua's case, He wouldn't have to unless if he has taken good shots to jaw to really wobble him. Which is a small chance because Tua had fought a power punchers like Ike Ibeabuchi and had shown toughness and never knocked down. Also, from his fight with lennox lewis, he took good shots but never knocked down. He was outclass by Lewis. If it were Mike, I would say a 30 out of 100 that he would KO him. Tua is tough but not suseptible to KOs. Possibility but not a good probability. Hence why I say Prime Mike wins by Decision.

      Difference is others hit hard, tyson hit with power and speed, concussive power.
      Tua wasnt a god or anything to special, otherwise he'd have won world titles, but did'nt.
      Theres a lot tyson knocked out in the 80s, that hadnt been knocked out or even beaten before.
      Tua would have been dropped by tyson.
      Name another heavyweight in the 80s, that had the lightening fast foot work, accuracy, power and speed of tyson ...tua had power, but from what i've seen he was slow compared to tyson

      Lewis would have dird in the ring against prime tyson.
      Lewis only turned pro in 1989
      By the time lewis became pro.
      Tyson had won 3 belts and had what 18 defences of those titles.
