Hi, it comes with one of two filters the company offers - one referred to as a ‘pollen filter’, that removes pollen etc, and a ‘pet filter’ that’s more designed for capturing dust and pet dander, as well as smoke. Both are HEPA 13 filters, and will capture particles as small 0.3microns in size, but the pet filter has an ‘active carbon’ layer designed to remove and reduce smells specifically.
Just bought one, anyone one why it refuses to connect to my router and my iPhone 12 Pro? I made sure it’s connected to 2,4 WiFi It won’t connect to home app or mismart link? Pls help
@@homekitnews You should really get a simple watt meter then ;) I was here for that information as well as how loud it is because I want to use it while I sleep.

I have this SmartMi P1 and I am loving it. Was super easy to add to Homekit.
I'm trying to figure out if this has a Hepa 14 filter or Hepa 13, but since it doesn't specify anywhere I'll assume it's a Hepa 13...
What kind of filter comes included?
I think they only sell one variant now, which appears to be the one for odours.
do I have to cleanse (vacuum ) the filter?
Yes, it’s advisable to vacuum the filter every month, even if you’ll eventually replace it.
Do you know if it uses ionizer?
There’s no ionizer functionality built into this device. It’s just an air purifier.
I think they restrict accessing fan speed to "only by the app" just so you can only mess with it. Which I think is great.
Have you got any problem since iOS 15.2?
Not with the SmartMi, or any other devices, just Siri in relation to HomeKit itself.
@@homekitnews thanks. I am still curious why did so many people said their Smartmi p1 has ‘no response’ problem in homekit after iOS 15.2

@@raulgonzales503 I really don’t know, but mine has had a solid connection at all update points.
Does this also filters dust and smoke out of the air?

Isn't it viceversa?
The petfilter contains carbon which can adsorb smells. You can see it here: 4:28
@@miracoli16 it’s an error, yes. I forgot to switch the labels over when it move to the second closeup image of the filters.
I orderd 2 👍 should they run 24hours per day?
I’m not sure it would be of much benefit unless you or one of your family is always at home, and even then it depends on how polluted your region is.
One thing to note. Smartmi customer service is non-existent. Reported number of problems with E1 model and still no response. This was in July 2023

What happens when you scan the HomeKit QR code?
What iOS version are you using?
I'm a bit dissapointed that you didn't measure the energy consumption of this device in the different levels.
I don’t have the equipment to do such tests, unfortunately.
