    Jemima, you forgot to say that the Okazi leaves were dried in house for 3days to maintain the green colour.

    The best way to preserve vegetables is keeping them away from water. If water touches Uha in particular, it would start to go bad, so it is best to buy it and wrap it in newspaper and travel with it like that. When you get to your destination then you can cut it and wash it and immediately freeze it. Watch Flo Chinyere, she is an expert in preserving and traveling with Nigerian vegetables.

    Thanks for such an insightful video.😊
    Please did you also put the dried leaves in the freezer or you just stored it in a dry place?

      I stored them outside the fridge and freezer. Water spoilt the dried Okazi when it was in the fridge

    Hi Jemima, new subscriber here❤ What if we do this process of freezing the veggies from Nigeria here, will it still last?

      @gistwithJemima  4 місяці тому

      My dear. I haven’t tried it before
      Then if you will be living in a busy city in the UK. Like Manchester, London, Birmingham, UK etc
      You would see some these leaves fresh in shops
