The USA one does really fast pressure test style challenges. Its weird, but I think thats because they are more interested in creating an inhouse rush-order style chef rather than an intricacies and star dishes style chef on this show.
I would like to see more of a mix on Masterchef USA, instead of just focusing on how fast they can make great dishes.
They cant choose good contestants in either country. Some seem barely able to cook. One dish wonders.
Canada not bad but you can absolutely compare it with usa. They fuking busy making Wellington and scallops.

Can I just say I think she is one of the best guest judges to have for finals week. They ask her to bring a plate to challenge the contestants, she delivers. But she also holds no embarrassment or shame in admitting that this dish, she created, is challenging even for her. Goes to show that there are things even full professional chefs still struggle with.

I've never seen a challenge on a reality television show that looked so daunting and required so much skill. I mean what she said really was true. This test is what seperates a normal chef from a masterchef. If you can do something like this you're literally unequivocally up for debate as a world class chef.
This masterchef season was amazing.. You couldn't hate anyone.. Everyone was awesome and top notch quality..
After tasting it I'd gulp it down then burst into tears. Yes I've lost but at least I went out enjoying myself.

Markus Phenix I think it’s the other way around. I think he could maybe mess up with the looks. He can be a bit sloppy sometimes when it comes to decorating. But he would def be able to get the flavors right if he tasted it. He may be an all rounder but he knows a kot about baking. His desserts look amazing and with his years of expercience and knowledge of food science he would get all the technical stuff right

It's unbelievable to think that this sort of thing is a pressure test. In the US version, all they do is filet a fish, fry an egg or remake some sort of popular dinner dish/dessert. THIS is two steps away from being a lab experiment. I doubt even one contestant from the US counterpart would make it through one element of it
Can't even begin to imagine the amount of time she put into making that dessert, that's a work of art on top of probably being one of the most complex dishes out there.
I know I shouldn't, but... I love Australian Masterchef - I've been watching for years and I love the judges and how much they focus on food. I like the US version too, but it's more for the drama. Go Straya
