Hi Griff - I just swapped my rear 42T to a 44T. I reused my pins+nuts, and used blue loctite. Is this pretty standard practise, or do we need to change all the hardware? It's a 2022 Tuono V4 with 2500 miles. Thanks!
I had an interesting issue when replacing the cush drive rubbers on my '15 Tuono V4. There's a locator pin in the bottom of one of the cush drive holes and the pin was up into the cush drive area by about 1/4". Had to grind it down so the cush rubber could sit flush.
Does using an aluminium sprocket really not make that much a difference? What about a conversion to a 520 chain? Any info on how long this would last with regular street use in an RSV-1000RR?
Hi guys I find the stock gearing on my 2015 rsv4 very high, and is a pain to manurve at low speeds. Do you recommend a better setup where you don't necessarily create a wheel demon? Cheers
I went -1/+1on my '10 and it made everything just about perfect. Some people go +2 or 3 on the rear but that seems a bit ridiculous. Bike's plenty fast stock IMHO.
Nyloc nuts are single use so don't expect to reuse them and have it stay on. If you do, at least use a pen across so you can see if it's where you left it...
Spacers? I've got a problem with mine that the rear wheel doesn't spin as free as my other bikes and there's something wired going on back there that it's effecting the handling..oh I've torqued up the rear axle nut at 90nm. (V4 Tuono 2016 factory)
@Aprilia Performance I've owned the bike since new. It's done my head in. I've tried different tyres also replaced bearings...it feels to me like there's play in the rear, sort of feels like an under inflated rear tyre. I've had the bike checked by an Aprilia specialist and he couldn't see anything wrong but did say the wheel doesn't move freely.... I love the bike, but I'm thinking of selling it and buying another one. I'm from Australia also mate.
Thanks for again some valuable tips Griff! Would like to buy my parts from you, but after the f*****g Brexit it's not economical to order stuff from the UK anymore 😒

Could you do a video on setting up the electronic suspension on the 21+ v4 models?
Excelentes videos para propietarios de Aprilia. Saludos desde España!!
I Bought a falco that you guys have had a hand in sorting out, I plan to pop up in the summer to get it checked over!
Another great tech video, thanks for taking the time to make it Griff (and Amber).
Good informative little video as always.
Keep it up. Ride safe. 👍🏍
This is exactly how I removed mine. Great minds think alike 💪🏻
Putting the new one is another challenge all together
How do you know that the bearings in the sprocket carrier, are in correctly..
Great Video...Thanx Crew..
Great video, I had some sprocket carrier bolt issues last season where 1 bolt came loose, I only noticed as I was about to set off on a ride out

Can you crack bolts loose using an aimpact hammer gun, with wheel on the bike, and use new bolts non nylock ?
great video guys :D

How often do the pins and cush drivers need replacing? Is there a way to know when they are worn?
Great video as always!
What tourque nm rear sprocket please
Wheel test on the rs660… sounds interesting. Do you reckon the Oz is going to fit?

Do you guys ever see the dorsoduro 1200's in?
@Aprilia Performance can you get bits for it just seeing if it's more hassle than the tuono.
Oi! 50nm is 37 ft. lb. in real numbers. REAL numbers! 😛

If you Mark it as made in the UK there is no extra cost.
