I used to snorkle that whole area, years ago. The "caves" are only a few yards deep in the cliffside but are fun to explore. One side area is tricky to get into and completely dark, off to the side in the "arch". Interesting sealife in the area are the bright colorful Garabaldi fish, sea lions and harbor seals (did see one huge elephant seal there years ago) and even nudibrants but those are rare. (oh, and one seahorse) On a clear day the water is great but I'd always, even in summer, recommend a light wetsuit if you were to spend much time in the water. Thanks for the great video!
If you're scuba diving you'll be wearing a wetsuit. If snorkeling I always wear a 3mm wetsuit. Lots of people snorkel in their swim trunks but I feel more comfortable in a suit. Keeps me warmer and protects me from rocks. Are you doing a guided dive?

I've never seen a seahorse in the wild, so that's really cool! I've also never seen an elephant seal, but I've seen pictures and they're amazing.
Sick, kayaking in there is fun as hell , as long as you beat the tide push ha
Dude this is great context moved from Florida to experience these activities
Nice tour! The caves of La Jolla is one of my favorite swims in Southern California!
Thanks! I checked out your videos and it looks like you have a lot of fun out there. I loved the sailboat following you on a swim.
It's fun to dive over there. I don't get over there too much because you can't hunt there but it's cool to check it out every now and then
I am going there after july 10 the water is cold there or not? My first time go diving
