Hyundai (Vestel) HY8-5SL Cottons 90 prewash (small load)

Washing a load of smelly towels with ariel fast dissolving mountain spring powder
decent cycle tbh
really don't know whether the prewash heats on this or not. the cold water is coming in around 30 degrees because of how hot it is here so is nice that its doing it at 30 if its programmed not to heat
the cycle itself is quite short but still quite good I just wish the interm spins where faster as 500rpm or potentially even worse 400rpm really isn't enough for a cottons wash (it’s hard for me to tell the speed as there’s so little difference in sound I thought it was 500rpm in person but now watching it back it does sound like it’s the same as it sounds at 400rpm just that it ramps up slower for the main spin than it does for the burst) even though this is only an 800rpm machine. the towels felt a bit soapy when it had finished but could be worse

these vestel’s were semi-decent imo, their balancing was and still is a piss take but at least these used water and heated well and didn’t have their counterweights fall off 🥴

Mine were also 500. I thought they were 600rpm..

Hi😄! are you sure it's 800 and not 600 rpm?? I think it's the same software as their old 400/500/600 rpm models with only the final spin at maximum speed! Even the motor sound is the same. I say this because I've had a similar one for 10 years (600 rpm)

I also think this is a 600 rpm machine. I remember that only the 500 and 600 rpm models had the 400 interm spins. the 800 one had the first interm at 500 and the rest at 600, same for the 1000/1200 rpm model (except for the 2nd/3rd interm that was at 800!)

When I had a vestel (Nordmende) I never even used cottons.....
