Looking at washing machines and tumble dryers at currys (7/9/22)

- Finally after coming back home from holiday and recovering from Covid I just had to see if there was any new machines in my local currys which there was 🥹
Was very happy to see that my currys has the new 8kg beko bpro500 felt so strange looking at a beko from the beyond series with the old drum design 🙃
Grundig homewhiz models have had a fascia change and are now all from the GR5500 series were as before only the 8kg model was GR5500 and 9kg and 10kg models were GR7700 (please excuse the fact I keep on saying they’re from GR5-50 series and GR7-70 series don’t know why I’ve always called them that also excuse the fact I said they were changed from GR7-20 to GR5-50 lmao 🤣)
Was happy to finally see a tol hotpoint gentle power in person shame it wasn’t plugged in though 🥲
Also showed an Lg ezdispense for the first time (the lg I showed before it is in fact turbowash 360° not normal turbowash like I said)
Was very shocked to see a full gorenje made Hisense on display that was also plugged in have to say that machine shocked me ALOT never realised they started to make small display models that not only didn’t have temps around the dial but also had 2 step variable cycle time adjustment?!
Shame there wasn’t any Samsung bespoke washers or any new Bosch serie 6’s but was happy to see a new Samsung bespoke dryer and Bosch serie 6 dryerob display think there will be new Bosch washers soon as there were quite a few of them on clearance particularly big display serie 6 models

Haha I wouldn’t have a Hoover or candy either only time I’d ever have one is 1 if it’s an older model or 2 if I found a broken one dead cheap that I could fix cheap and make a good profit off after using it for around a month so I get a few videos of it

So how come is beko using old style drums again?
They only use the old style drums on 8kg 55cm depth models and all WT series machines. 9kg and above models with homewhiz all use the new drum as they can sell them as being big capacity slim depth machines under 60cm deep due to the drum being wider than before were as 9kg and 10kg WT series along with previous generation homewhiz models are 64cm deep

I would like to ask you about British washers Ebac. They claim that they assemble them in the UK 🇬🇧. If it is true, I am amazed to find it out.
Do you know Ebac machines and how good/ bad are they if compared to others?
Yes ebac are made in the uk never used one and personally have no intention too because they are quite hard to get as they can only be bought by ebac themselves and not currys, euronics etc. programming isn’t good either for example using time saver on a cotton wash reduces the spin speed from 1600rpm max to 800rpm max so on shorter cycles clothes come out soaking wet
@@Washerboy2006 How do they justify such inconveniences with insufficient spin for shorter cycles? Does it make sense to make machines with such functionality?
Are there other firms manufacturing washers with slow spin speed for short cycles?
@@vittopo786 it really is completely stupid that they’re still like that most firms apart from Beko used to only allow 1000rpm on quick cycles but ever since the energy legislation changed and eco 40-60 came out in 2021 almost all brands allowed max speed on quick cycles the only machines that don’t allow max speed on any quick cycles are Hotpoint and indesit

Oh god the currys were I got and saw the grundig expressdry tumble dryers for the first time is the same 😵💫 feel so blessed that this currys is literally not even a 15 minute walk away from me lmao 🤣
@@Washerboy2006 Yep mines is a 20 min walk, pretty sure my mum is not getting another currys machine cuz it took them 2 weeks to install our b300 after delivering it.
@@superdylan803 SERIOUSLY 😳 That’s so disappointing! this currys is fantastic and the staff were amazing when the 2 machines I bought from them went wrong (well when one was faulty and the other turned out to be an absolute shitbox 🤣) even with us having the Samsung for 30 days they let us refund it for all our money even though it was fully working 🥹
@@Washerboy2006 lucky ours tells lies and tries delaying stuff the man who delivered our beko said our dishwasher had to come out and stuff but when the 2 men came to take the hotpoint out and put the beko in they didn’t not even touch the dishwasher. My mum was very pissed off at curry’s
Not Gorenje exactly, but their mother company Hisense. I believe Gorenje and Hisense have different models, don't they?
Some Hisense are made by themselves but others such as this one is in fact made by gorenje the main way to tell if it’s made by Hisense or gorenje is that gorenje made models have this exact same drum and drawer design and a similarly laid out control panel were as proper Hisense washers made by themselves use a different drawer layout, different drum and completely different display layout 😅 the official gorenje model of this machine is “gorenje WNEI4ADS” and you’ll notice they look exactly the same straight away but some gorenje are made by Hisense now too 🥲

@@Washerboy2006 I have had a Gorenje washing machine, model WA412, since 1998... it worked until last month... it was indestructible, literally. And now I only hear problems with the new ones. I have a 3-year-old Gorenje refrigerator, and I am not at all satisfied with it... it must be set to the maximum level in order to cool properly and the compressor is very noisy, ice forms on the back panel... and the authorized service says that this is normal ... and that was never the case with my old one. I just don't trust them anymore because they have become Chinese shit. This is a shame for the Slovenian brand, which for 30 years had an above-average quality of its household appliances.

It’s at lisburn used to be called currys megastore but think they changed it to just currys when they changed the logo but size sure hasn’t changed it’s massive haha 😆

@@Washerboy2006 i saw one in currys plugged in and programming is pretty good for the cycles side not sure what they are actually like when on cycles though
Wow, I've noticed a 576 pounds washer at this market. But on their official website it is 80 or so pounds cheaper.
Isn't it better to buy goods right from the " manufacturer "?
It’s really up to yourself but I’d personally go and buy it from a shop like this as if something goes wrong from the get go the likes of currys can get it refunded easier potentially
