😂 i need one!! I fought electrical gremlins for a year with ms3x and had to change cam and crank trigger setups 3 times before i got it to stay synced, so tired of rewiring that car .... if i win ill turn my old ecu into target practice 😎
I have ls1 forged 383,have purchased Haltech Elite 2500+ WBC-1 Wideband Controller + IQ3 dash also will be using fast EZ_TCU trans control with hand held programmer.engine back from builder now have to run in engine and trans bed rings for 1000k , then the rewire and another dyno tune. then finally can go to track and see new 1/4 mile time.old engine made 383 rwkw did 11.9 1/4 mile. cheers to matt for getting the haltech for me
I need those high power stickers! Hahahaha😂😂 Good one! I need that ecu so bad I need it!😁😁😁 It could be awesome Great video was very informative and fun to watch 👌👌👍
Just to confirm - those stickers are good for up to 20hp at the wheels but it does depend on their placement. We've found windscreen placement to be the most beneficial.
I’m wanting to throw one of these in my ‘96 Toyota Tacoma with a 5vz-fe and am curious if there’s a built in immobilizer or if one could be added to it. With all the brazen thieves in my neck of the woods, I’d hate to dump all the money into a supercharger & whatnot, only to have the truck stolen if I have swing by the store real’ quick; because of how easy it is to break in and Hotwire them. Alarms, kill switches, steering wheel locks and trackers seem to be useless nowadays with how quick thieves are to strip or total a vehicle of that age
Please please suggest best ecu’s for superbikes. I can make a good decision for mine. I want laptimes, lean angle datalog type thing etc. Thanks. Waiting for your reply.
Prepared to be corrected but appears Haltech, for whatever reason, does not appear to have ANY PnP support for the FA20 in the BRZ/FRS/GT86? Motec does..
Wideband only bosch lsu4.2. Bosch 4.9 does not need calibration and is the current standaed. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The haltech canbus only works with haltech can units as i can't run aftermarket non haltech pre setup units.
The 4.9 is more common these days, most definitely, but the 4.2 is still a great sensor. I've not really noticed any difference between the two when using them in the field. The 4.9 has the same OEM calibration method as the 4.2, a laser trimmed resistor that is part of the OEM connector. Interfacing to a 4.9 vs a 4.2 is actually very similar, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had unit on the way that'll work with the 4.9's (@haltech), as who knows how long Bosch are going to keep making 4.2's... 4.2's get a really bad rap because they were the first wideband commonly used in the automotive aftermarket, and there were plenty of controllers out there that had some pretty dodgy ways of driving the heater circuits in them, killing them very quickly! - Zac.
Yes there will be, we've just got a run of things from PRI2017 at the moment 😎We might be back at Pikes Peak this year and 100% will make it to the 2018 World Time Attack Challenge. We would like to start getting more cars here locally too but that's just a luck game as we're located in a small town. TL:DR If car [TECH TOURS] are your thing, just hang in there, we will do more 😃 - Taz.
Australia, although with electronics there will be a mix of locations for individual components that make up the end product. We actually visited a few years ago and got this wee clip you might enjoy seeing: facebook.com/watch/?v=1703970473028399 - Taz.
High Performance Academy Thank you very much. It is great to know the products are made in Australia. There is only one country I am boycotting now, and it is great the ecu I plan on buying is not fully made there. I look forward to this ecu and completing more of your tuning courses.
There are people using Haltechs on motorcycles. Depends on your application when it comes to deciding if that is the right path for you too or not - Taz. ua-cam.com/video/LVJzp-TbGqg/v-deo.html
The price might vary depending on where in the world you are, head to www.haltech.com/product-category/universal-ecu-kits/elite-2500/ to get an idea and find the closest dealer :-) - Zac.
No one makes Automotive electronics like the Italians. Down side is, unless you get to know someone at the factory, i.e. your buying ecu's on a regular basis, the back up is non existent.
I'm running these in my RB30 R33 GTR, I couldn't be happier with them and haltechs customer service is second to none.
Awesome vid. This guy does a great job. I like the unbiased commentary when it comes to what he feels Haltech could have done better.
i needed this video 5 months ago, before i brought my 2500. its everything i expected and more.
No doubt about how good the Haltech gear is👌
LOL the seriousness on the stickers

My r32 gtr doesn’t want this, it needs it!

why don't they build the controller into the ecu ?
Wish I could win something like this to properly get my MK4 R32 runnin correctly
I need those high power stickers!

2x years late but I finally purchased mine. After all the research and testimonials I'm sure it'll make my 2J Infiniti G35 sing (#NoCovid).
Please please suggest best ecu’s for superbikes. I can make a good decision for mine. I want laptimes, lean angle datalog type thing etc. Thanks. Waiting for your reply.
So need this haltech so bad!! Seeing how I've never won anything I'll probably just pony up and buy one.
You're always playing the odds but it's free to be in with at least a small chance, so why not eh. Best of luck Sean - Taz.
High Performance Academy for sure. Fingers crossed!

My dream ecu...😭😭😭😭
Need it badly
Good information sweet channel 👍
Can you do a video on the links ecu plug in and some of the options. If possible for Rx7 fd
Hi, is there an option to upgrade to an Ntk wideband sensor when purchasing this?
Been entering the giveaways foreverrrrrr trying to get one. I won’t stop till I can finally afford one or win one.
Good man, have to be in to win! Best of luck :) - Taz.

would love to fit it to my son's 05 fiesta ST 170 witch is still being build for circuit racing
I have a question i have the haltech 2500 but i dont have the software key anymore and want to use the haltech on my new laptop what can i do?
Hey there, fire off an email to Haltech and they'll be able to sort you out I'm sure :) - Taz.
would love this for my gtr, i have been meaning to buy one of these but if i can get one for free then sweet as
Free is good! Best of luck with the competition Yaze :) - Taz.
Will this work on my is300 gte swap?
Sucks you have to buy another box to control wideband... almost every other high end ECU has controllers built in.
Would be so nice to win then all I would need to get is the flex fuel sensor
No more feature cars for this channel I take it?

Does anyone know where Haltech ecu's are manufactured?

Wish I had one of these ecu for my car so it can get tuned and it will not run rich as . The poor life
We all know that pain. Best of luck! - Taz.
it took me exactly 5 minutes to realize this isn't for motorcycles...

Price range with accessories ?

Thanks for the link
2089 for basic
2232 for premium
Comes with unicorn dust
I'm surprised they can get the price that low with unicorn dust included 😎- Taz.
High Performance Academy yeah that stuff is essential for cressida and previa builds 😎
Now all they need to do is make one for motorcycles
all these extra boxes bit outdated why not build it all in
There is no voltage loss over can bus wire length.

i thought this was an ad...
I'll pass that compliment onto Zac 😉- Taz.
Funny!
