What a well edited vid (sound & vision). Also, I've passed Halton many a time always loving the Hunter outside (I saw the Blacks arrows once as a kid and just loved the profile of the aircraft). What I didn't know was there was a museum inside.... Thank you.
Thank you for the complement on the editing. I was practising a few news things and wondered if I had gone too far in parts. They cram a lot into a small museum with a lot of dedication and love. They have rare open days. Unfortunately they are on an active base and the world security is parlous state at the moment. Check out my Brooklands and RAF Cosford videos too.
213 entry 1968 - 1970 That's when it turned out well trained skilled Aircraft Engineers who the military insisted on calling fitters for some obscure reason.
There is a fundamental flaw in your title: IT IS NOT the "RAF Halton Museum". The 2 buildings your video covers are the "Trenchard Museum" (which is written in very large letters on the outside of the building!) which covers the history of Lord Trenchard's apprentice scheme, and the "James McCudden Flight Heritage Centre" which both happen to be located at RAF Halton. At least you have included a link to the Trenchard Museum's website where more information can be found. Apart from that, your video is very good!!
I got the title from here. I am limited in space for a title though but will update as much as possible. www.heritageopendays.org.uk/submission-event/halton-house-raf-halton-officers-mess-the-trenchard-museum-and-the-james-mccudden-flight-centre.html
Really enjoyed this museum with the nice collection of aviation 💯👍
Thank you for sharing. Always enjoy a visit to a museum and this one looks fascinating. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Thanks Dave and Dawn.

Went to an airshow there in the 50's. Got a posh Humber taxi from Aylesbury Station and got a salute at the gate and didn't even have to pay entry😅😅
Those were the days
I did my apprecticeship at Halton! So does that mean the workshops are gone? Is it no longer the training station?😢
Used for unskilled irks now!
