Thank you for sharing we loved the swans. Looks a lovely park. The redwoods are fantastic trees. Dave used to go to speedway in the 70s when Coventry Bees had Ole Olsen the bikes brought back memories for him. He says the smell is what he remembers most. Hope you have had a great day. PENDON MUSEUM (Near Didcot). Used to be renowned for its exquisite representation of the "Vale of the White Horse" the (Great Western Railway) mainline from Didcot to Swindon & beyond. With absolutely everything, trains, track, buildings etc., ALL HANDBUILT. The track is true scale (P4 - 18.83mm between the rails, not commercial track). Pendon is NOT a Toy train set, but a professional Model Railway representing the GWR in the 1930's. Which has taken over 50 years of work to get to where they are today. Indeed I did a little work on this layout back in the 1970's !!!!

Good morning this was fantastic so good that it is now a nature reserve. Its somewhere that was always in the news back in our youth. We didnt know it had been used in Star Wars. Some nice ol 50s and early 60s Classics here, i struggle to understand why there is modern junk from 80s and 90s here, so un-interesting, these can be seen daily in Supermarket Car parks

This is very funny. I lived in Bix Village in the 1970s. My Mother was a teacher at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic school in Henley and she would take students to this site, as it was a former plague village and it formed part of the school's brilliant history teaching program. There was one occasion when some unruly students moved some of the gravestones while she was waxing lyrical about the history of Bix Bottom, and the stones movement was picked up by the Henley Standard, (the local paper). They ran a story the following week about occultists operating in the church remains based on the movement of the gravestones. We (our family) have always chuckled about this as the paper turned what was innocent vandalism, into occultist horror!!!. As a born-again atheist, I've always found spooky tails of St James's Church hilarious. It's a site deserted because of tragic circumstances, and reoccupied by nature, as the whole world will be after our passing. Peace out x
