I like your list of weights to match the item made, I'm just a once a week adult ed student, class starts back end of September so I'm brushing up my 'how to do' watch list of videos, I make one off pieces, because I see something and think how can I do that, every term I plan to make a set of 4, that I'm happy with but it all takes time, I'm too hard on myself, but I love my clay adventure so keep going back. This term, breakfast bowls set of 4, going to go for it , keep everything crossed, I'm glad I found your channel, new Potter to me, thankyou😊
Thank you for your input and for watching. It just takes time and practice. The nice thing about potters is they will share what and how they are doing things so ask questions.
Fancy camera. Facial recognition is such a great idea. I can imagine it takes some of the frustration out of filming. I appreciate your videos. Your explanations and demonstrations are clear and easy to follow. I’m a new subscriber.
David, will you be making anymore videos. I really like all the good tips you give. My question is, how do you keep the little red pieces you place on pots from running into the other glazes. Thanks
Yes I am in the work for a video soon. The red beads are glazed with a commercial glaze then I wax over them before I glaze the rest of the pot. Thanks for the question.
I just use a battery powered scale and you can get them at Walmart or order from Amazon. Look for something with a low profile so it doesn’t take up to much space.

Thanks so much. I am trying to answer some of the questions I should have asked when I first started making pottery.

It is more flexible
Very nice demonstration and pots! Thank you!
Thank you
Glad you've recovered. Welcome back!
Thanks I feel much better.
Good Vid David. Im doing something similar. Hoping to give a hand to wannabe production potters. So many tricks and so little time.
What a good idea
Thanks
Thanks for sharing this method-
Thanks for watching. There are products you can buy for this but this is a quick easy way to get the job done.

Glad your back. What kind of electronic scale do you use?

@@MudslingerPotteryDavidClark thank you. Have been using an old antique scale. Not really. That accurate
@@sheilacarroll3981 it is nice to have the digital electronic scale to get a much more accurate measure.
The video is great! What camera are you using?
I just got a DJI 2 camera and am trying to figure it out. It is not as easy as an IPhone.
@@MudslingerPotteryDavidClark Thank you for responding. I am looking at a few options and yours seems so nice and clear.
@@ivonne9984 the camera works great, I love the face tracking feature but it has a lot it can do and I am still trying to figure it out.
Curious how much a chop sticks bowl costs in NC?
I'm in Oregon and about to start selling pottery here
I sell mine for $36. For more info check out pottery ramen or chopstick bowl on Etsy.
