    This has been and continues to be one of the best UA-cam channels for Rhino, and now Blender, inside of a product design workflow. I really appreciate how hard you work to keep your information up to date and relevant.

    My IGES export settings using Moi and Plasticity: refinement at level 1 gives a more optimal topology; no application of the Sub-D modifier, just export with it active at 3 subdivision levels. I used to import polygon software files into Rhino 7 without the need for this addon. It is just another alternative. Neither Moi nor Plasticity can preserve the creases in the import process, so I use this addon. In Rhinoceros it is totally possible without the addon.

      BTW, how's your experience with Plasticity? I have a hard time getting the program to work the way I am familiar with.. Haha

      @@simpernchong Taking the opportunity: you and Eliania Rosetti (Solução 3D) are exemplary teachers of Rhinoceros educational content on UA-cam. They helped me a lot.

      Hi, I just discovered that the Blender crease works for the IGES export. Thanks so much. I may create an additional video to address that.
      Thanks again for the info.

      Hi, I don't have Plasticity. My trial has expired. But, the IGES can be read using FreeCAD. As FreeCAD is freely available, perhaps it can be used as a converter of sort. Here is a video showing the export to FreeCAD ua-cam.com/video/VcWOwQSLTj8/v-deo.htmlsi=cI6zb82i5iM2y3fJ

    Hello, thanks for the video, I want to export a blender file to iges, I see that in the link you have to pay for this plugin, is this page reliable and how much will be the minimum you have to pay, thank you.

    • @simpernchong
      @simpernchong  Рік тому

      No minumum.. you can even put zero. But perhaps if you find it useful, can consider supporting the guy who created it. :)

      If you have got the plugin, perhaps this video might be useful as well. ua-cam.com/video/VcWOwQSLTj8/v-deo.htmlsi=FqcOBkoBXOa9VlJH Cheers
