I had mine up until August the year after my sister died. She died on a 12/20/2004. It’s been 20 years mow. Since I wasn’t home, we all went to Virginia for my sisters funeral on December 23, and then we had to fly home on Christmas Eve. A Christmas I will always remember. That’s why I couldn’t take my tree down. Or was like I needed to keep the holiday spirit in my house. In June I pulled it way from the window so no one else could see it.
oh that's awful, I'm so sorry Lisa. I know it was a long time ago but grief isn't linear. I can totally see how taking down that tree would've been difficult. well I hope you can enjoy Christmas again despite those memories 💚
@ thank you Ana. It was a very hard year. I put up as many decorations ad I could. Every flat surface is covered with plants. But I kept digging until found enough stuff to fit into the few places that were left. I put some hanging crystals in the living room window. Then I put up some window clings that are star shaped. A string of small cool lights in the west facing window sill. I’m happy with what I put out. I’ll need to have a plant room before I’ll be able to have a tree. And to do that I’d have to sdk my roommate to move out.
Merry Christmas to you, staying home and appreciating your blessings is a great idea. Thanks for letting us spend time with you and your healthy Hoyas.😉
Your pup is the most adorable baby ever ❤ Merry Christmas Ana 🎄 Hope you had a lovely time with your loved ones. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful plants with us.
We open all our gifts on Christmas Eve, it's a cultural thing among French Quebecers. We call it 'réveillon' and I've always loved it, we have a big supper and then open gifts. A lot of people still give their kids gifts on Christmas morning though, cause of Santa :)
I have a fake tree. Because I like to keep up a tree up for about two months. It would be brittle dry if it was real. But because of the plants and plant stands that are in front of the living room. Two stands in front of the big windows and grow lights for the back stand. The front stand doesn’t get slats more daylight.
Happy Holidays~ I dont really have a christmas movie. In Germany it is normal to open presents on 24.12. in the Evening. I also make loooots of chookies. I have a artificial tree, but my parents have a real one, also always witz real candles
We open all our presents Christmas Eve. Santa comes and fill stockings (even though my children/spouses are in their 40’s) with some candy, small presents and scratch off lottery tickets.😁🎄
Merry Christmas ❤❤ Trellising Hoya is so touch and go for me. Half of them are ok and the other half die back when I try to train them around the trellis.... Par for the course I guess... Anywho some of my answers are.....Favorite Christmas movie? Home Alone and Polar Express .... When do your decorations go up? Nov 1st, I'll start pulling decorations out Halloween night 😂😂.... Favorite Christmas song? So this is actually a hard one lol it would have to be a 3way tie between Silent Night by the Temptations, Sleigh Ride by TLC, and Let is Snow by Boys to Men. I hope you had a relaxed and wonderful day 💚❤️
Merry Christmas Anastasia!! 🎄 Omgosh I love Family Man! I will watch that one everytime it’s on which is not often- the actress who played his wife is Tea Leoni! BTW the audio sounds great 😌
We opened one Christmas present on Christmas Eve. Usually matching night gowns for my sister and I. My grandmother made them for all six grand kids. A lot of red flannel and houndstooth flannel in red.
Merry Christmas! I love your channel so much. ETA: put your potting mat out in the sun for a little bit. I've seen people returning their misshaped ponytail holders by putting them in the sun. IDK if it's the heat?
Did you just say "trashcan Hoya?" You'd be a fool not to TM that 😆 Also, when I suggested "more dog..." I wasn't suggesting that Luka give us the Full Monty 🤣😂🤣 Let me tell you how much you're going to love your new Mac M4 ...! I, too, was using an 11 year old Mac to edit. How hot did yours get??? I'm in heaven with my M4. Same plan as you on the purchase, and I'm so freaking impressed. See ya next time 😊
loool at least he wasn't excited! if you catch my drift 😂 maybe it was "dumpster hoya" but unfortunately that name has already been claimed lol oh yes the fan would run, esp when rendering. yay I can't wait to edit on it! hope you had a merry christmas Dave 🎄
I’ve always given ornaments but neither of my nieces put up Christmas trees and my sister only put hers up because her daughter and boyfriend did it for her. So I’ve got to find out something else. For next year. I’m thinking clutch chargers. And these little round thing you can use to clean all your screen and then it resists finger prints. I can buy them over the year and spread out the costs.

@anawithplants Yes, my Christmas was great! Thanks for sharing. I like the spikey ends on those trelisses. You made me smile when you mixed up tendril and trellis. I do that all the time! For me, it's crassipetiolata and callistophylla, peat moss, and coco peat. I could go on. 😆 🤣
I always watch the old Christmas classic movies only those are the best. The new ones just aren’t good. I love watching Love Actually and The Family Stone aswell. I also love Charlie and The Chocolate Factory the old one. We tend to open Christmas presents on the 25th since is the day Santa comes. Some countries open on the 26th.
